1 과거에 예언자들을 통하여 조상들에게 여러 시대들에 걸쳐 다양한 방식들로 말씀하신 하나님께서

1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 이 마지막 날들에 그분의 아들을 통하여 우리에게 말씀하셨으니, 그 아들은 그분께서 모든 것들의 상속인으로 임명하신 분으로서 그 아들을 통하여 그분께서 또한 세상들을 만드셨느니라.

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 그 아들은 하나님의 영광의 찬란함이시요, 그분의 위격의 정확한 형상이시니, 자신의 권능의 말씀으로 모든 것들을 지탱하고 계시느니라. 그분께서는 자신을 통하여 우리의 죄들을 깨끗하게 하셨고 높이 계시는 존엄하신 분의 오른편에 앉으셨도다.

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4 그분께서 천사들보다 훨씬 더 뛰어나게 되신 것은 상속을 통하여 그들보다 더 탁월한 이름을 획득하셨기 때문이라.

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

5 그런즉 그분께서 어느 때에 천사들 중 누구에게 말씀하시기를, “너는 나의 아들이라. 이날 내가 너를 낳았도다.” 하셨느냐? 또다시 “내가 그에게 한 아버지가 되겠으며 그는 나에게 한 아들이 되리라.” 하셨느냐?

5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

6 또다시, 그분께서 처음 나신 분을 세상으로 데려오실 때 친히 말씀하시기를, “그리고 하나님의 모든 천사들은 그를 경배할지어다.” 하시니라.

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

7 또한 천사들에 관하여 그분께서 말씀하시기를, “그분께서 자신의 천사들을 영들로, 자신의 사역자들을 불꽃으로 삼으시는도다.” 하시니라.

7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

8 그러나 아들에게는 그분께서 이같이 말씀하시니라. “오, 하나님이여, 당신의 보좌는 영원무궁하나이다. 당신의 왕국의 왕홀은 의의 왕홀이니이다.

8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9 당신께서는 의를 사랑하셨으며, 죄악을 증오하셨나이다. 그러므로 하나님, 곧 당신의 하나님께서는 당신에게 희열의 기름을 부어 당신의 동료들보다 우위에 두셨나이다.”

9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

10 또 “주여, 당신께서 태초에 땅의 기초를 놓으셨나이다. 그리고 하늘들은 당신의 두 손의 작품들이니이다.

10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

11 그것들은 멸망할 것이나 당신께서는 존속하시나이다. 그리고 그것들은 의복이 그러하듯이 다 낡아지리이다.

11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;

12 또한 당신께서 겉옷같이 그것들을 접어 버리시리니, 그것들이 변화되리이다. 그러나 당신께서는 동일하시며 당신의 연수들은 끊어지지 않으리이다.”

12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

13 그러나 어느 때라도 그분께서 천사들 중 누군가에게 말씀하시기를, “내가 너의 원수들을 너의 발등상으로 삼을 때까지 나의 오른편에 앉아 있으라.” 하셨느냐?

13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?

14 천사들은 모두 구원의 상속인들이 될 자들을 위하여 섬기도록 보냄을 받은 섬기는 영들이 아니냐?

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
