1 그때 그분께서 제자들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “실족하게 하는 일들이 일어나지 않는 것은 불가능하나, 실족하게 하는 일들을 자신을 통하여 일어나게 하는 자에게는 화가 있기를 바라노라!
1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
2 그가 이 어린이들 중 한 명을 실족시키는 것보다는 차라리 그의 목 주위에 연자 맷돌 한 짝이 걸린 채 그가 바닷속으로 던져지는 것이 그에게 더 나았으리라.
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
3 ¶ 너희 자신을 주의하라. 만일 너의 형제가 너를 거슬러 범법을 한다면, 그를 꾸짖으라. 그러고 나서 만일 그가 회개한다면 그를 용서하라.
3 ¶ Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 그리고 만일 그가 하루에 일곱 번 너를 거슬러 범법하고, 하루에 일곱 번이나 너에게 다시 돌아와서 ‘내가 회개한다.’ 말하면 너는 그를 용서할지니라.”
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5 이에 사도들이 주께 말씀드리기를, “우리의 믿음이 늘어나게 해 주소서.” 하였더라.
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 그러자 주께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “만일 너희에게 겨자씨 한 알만 한 믿음이 있다면 너희가 이 검은뽕나무에게 말하기를, ‘너는 뿌리째 뽑혀 나가라. 그런 다음에 너는 바다에 심겨지라.’ 하리라. 그리하면 그것이 너희에게 순종할 것이라.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 그러나 너희 중, 누군가에게 밭을 갈거나 가축을 먹이는 종이 있는데, 그가 밭에서 돌아왔을 때 곧장 그에게 말하기를, ‘가서 음식 앞에 앉아 먹으라.’ 할 자가 있느냐?
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 그런즉 도리어 그에게 말하기를, ‘내가 만찬 먹을 곳을 준비하라. 그리고 너 자신은 띠를 두르고 내가 먹고 마실 때까지 나를 섬기라. 그러고 난 후에 네가 먹고 마시라.’ 하지 않겠느냐?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
9 그 종이 자신에게 명령이 주어진 것들을 행하였다고 해서 그가 그 종에게 고마워하겠느냐? 나는 아니라고 보느니라.
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
10 그러한 이유로 너희도 마찬가지로 너희에게 명령된 그 모든 것들을 너희가 행할 때, ‘우리는 무익한 종들이니이다. 우리는 우리가 해야 할 의무였던 것을 하였나이다.’ 하고 말하라.”
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
11 ¶ 이후에 그분께서 예루살렘으로 가시는 동안 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 사마리아와 갈릴리 한가운데를 경유하셨더라.
11 ¶ And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 그런데 그분께서 어떤 촌락 하나로 들어가시는 동안 나병 환자들인 남자 열 명이 그분을 만났는데 멀리 떨어져 서 있었더라.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 그리고 그들은 자기 목소리들을 높이어 말씀드리기를, “예수님이여, 스승이여, 우리에게 자비를 베푸소서.” 하였더라.
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 이에 그분께서 그들을 보시자 친히 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “가서 너희 자신을 제사장들에게 보이라.” 하셨더라. 그런데 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그들이 가는 동안 자신들이 정결하게 되었더라.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 그러자 그들 중 한 명은 자신이 치유된 것을 그가 보았을 때 다시 돌아와서 큰 목소리로 하나님께 영광을 돌렸더라.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 그리고 그분의 발 앞에 자기 얼굴을 대고 엎드려 그분께 감사들을 드렸더라. 그런데 그는 사마리아인이었더라.
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 이에 예수님께서 대답하시며 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “열 명이 정결해지지 아니하였느냐? 그러나 아홉 명은 어디에 있느냐?
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 이 타국인 외에는 하나님께 영광을 돌리려고 되돌아온 자들이 발견되지 않는도다.”
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 그러면서 그분께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “일어나서 너의 길을 가라. 너의 믿음이 너를 온전하게 하였느니라.” 하셨느니라.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
20 ¶ 이후에 그분께서는 하나님의 왕국이 언제 오느냐고 바리새파 사람들에게 다그침을 받으셨는데 친히 그들에게 대답하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “하나님의 왕국은 볼 수 있게 임하는 것이 아니니라.
20 ¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 또한 그들이 말하기를, ‘보라, 여기다!’ 또는 ‘보라, 저기다!’ 하지 못하리라. 이는 보라, 하나님의 왕국은 너희 안에 있기 때문이라.”
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
22 이후에 그분께서 제자들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그날들이 임하리니, 너희가 인자의 날들 중 하루를 보기 열망할 때에도 너희가 그것을 보지 못하리라.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 그런즉 그들이 너희에게 말하기를, ‘여기를 살펴보라.’ 또는 ‘저기를 살펴보라.’ 하리라. 그러나 그들을 따라가지 말고 그들을 따르지도 말라.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24 이는 한쪽 하늘 아래에서 번쩍이는 번개가 다른 쪽 하늘 아래에서 번쩍이는 것과 같기 때문이라. 인자 역시 그의 날에 그러하리라.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
25 그러나 우선 그는 반드시 많은 것들로 수난을 겪어야 하고 이 세대에게 거부당하여야 하느니라.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26 그런즉 노-아의 날들에 있었던 것과 같이 인자의 날들에도 그러하리라.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 노-아가 방주 안으로 들어가고 홍수가 들이쳐서 그들 모두가 멸망한 그날까지도 그들은 먹었고, 그들은 마셨으며, 그들은 아내들에게 장가들었고, 그들은 시집갔도다.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 마찬가지로 롯의 날들에도 있었던 것과 같이 그들은 먹었고, 그들은 마셨으며, 그들은 사들였고, 그들은 팔았으며, 그들은 심었고, 그들은 건축하였도다.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 그러나 롯이 소돔에서 나간 바로 그날에 하늘에서 불과 유황이 비 오듯 내렸고 그들 모두를 멸하였느니라.
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 인자가 드러나는 그날에도 그와 같으리라.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
31 그날에 자기 물품이 집 안에 있는데 자신은 옥상 위에 있을 자는 그것을 가져가려고 내려가지 말라. 그리고 들판에 있는 자, 그도 이와 같이 되돌아가지 말지니라.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
32 롯의 아내를 기억하라.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 누구든지 자기 생명을 구원하는 것을 모색할 자는 그것을 잃을 것이요, 누구든지 자기 생명을 잃을 자는 그것을 보존할 것이라.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
34 내가 너희에게 이르노니, 그 밤에는 두 남자가 한 침대에 있으리니, 한 명은 붙들려 가고 다른 한명은 남겨지리라.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 두 여자가 함께 곡식을 빻고 있으리니, 한 명은 붙들려 가고 다른 한 명은 남겨지리라.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 두 남자가 들판에 있으리니, 한 명은 붙들려 가고 다른 한 명은 남겨지리라.”
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 그런데 그들이 대답하여 그분께 말씀드리기를, “주여, 어디니이까?” 하였더라. 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “시신이 있는 곳은 어디든지 그곳에 독수리들이 한데 모이게 되리라.” 하셨느니라.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
