1 그렇다면 우리가 그분과 함께하는 일꾼들로서 또한 너희에게 간청하노니, 너희는 하나님의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 말라.

1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 (이는 그분께서 말씀하시기를, “기꺼이 받아들여지는 때에 내가 너의 말을 들었으며, 구원의 날에 내가 너를 구하였노라.” 하셨기 때문이라. 보라, 지금이 그 기꺼이 받아들여지는 때요. 보라, 지금이 그 구원의 날이라.)

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

3 이 사역이 비난받지 않도록 어떤 것에서도 실족할 구실을 전혀 주지 아니하는도다.

3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

4 그러나 모든 것들에 있어 하나님의 사역자들로서 우리 자신을 입증하나니, 많은 인내에서, 고난들에서, 곤궁함들에서, 괴로움들에서,

4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,

5 채찍들에서, 투옥들에서, 소란들에서, 수고들에서, 깨어 있는 일들에서, 금식하는 일들에서 그리하며,

5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

6 순수함으로, 지식으로, 오래 참음으로, 친절로, 성령님으로, 꾸밈없는 사랑으로,

6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

7 진리의 말씀으로, 하나님의 권능으로, 오른편과 왼편에 있는 의의 갑옷으로,

7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

8 존경과 오명으로, 악평과 호평으로 그리하고, 속이는 자들 같으나 그럼에도 진실하며,

8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true;

9 알려지지 않은 것 같으나 그럼에도 잘 알려져 있고, 보라, 죽어가는 것 같으나 우리가 살아 있으며, 징계받은 것 같으나 죽임당하지 아니하였고,

9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

10 슬퍼하는 것 같으나 그럼에도 늘 크게 기뻐하며, 가난한 것 같으나 그럼에도 많은 이들을 부요하게 하고, 아무것도 없는 것 같으나 그럼에도 모든 것들을 소유하고 있느니라.

10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

11 오, 너희, 고린도인들아, 우리의 입은 너희를 향하여 열려 있고, 우리의 마음은 넓어져 있도다.

11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.

12 너희는 우리 안에서 좁아지지 않았고 오히려 너희 자신의 내면에서 너희가 좁아졌느니라.

12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels.

13 이제 동일하게 보답하는 차원에서 (내가 나의 자녀들에게 하듯이 말하노니,) 너희 또한 마음이 넓어지라.

13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged.

14 너희는 믿지 않는 자들과 더불어 공평하지 않게 멍에를 같이 메지 말라. 그러므로 의가 불의와 함께 무슨 교제가 있겠느냐? 그리고 빛이 어둠과 함께 무슨 교감이 있겠느냐?

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 또 그리스도께서 벨리알과 무슨 화합이 있겠느냐? 또는 믿는 자가 불신자와 어떤 부분을 함께하겠느냐?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 그리고 하나님의 성전이 우상들과 어떤 조화를 이루겠느냐? 이는 너희가 살아 계신 하나님의 성전이기 때문이라. 하나님께서 이같이 말씀하신 것과 같으니라. “내가 그들 가운데 거하고 그들 가운데 다니겠노라. 그리고 나는 그들의 하나님이 되겠으며 그들은 나의 백성이 되리라.

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 주가 말하노라. 이런 이유로 너희는 그들 가운데서 나와 분리하라. 또한 그 불결한 것을 만지지 말라. 그리하면 내가 너희를 영접하겠노라.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 또한 내가 너희에게 한 아버지가 되겠으며, 너희는 나의 아들들과 딸들이 될 것이라. 전능한 주가 말하노라.”

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
