1 이후에 일곱째 달이 와서 이스라엘 자녀들이 도시들 안에 있었을 때 백성이 예루살렘에 한 사람같이 자기들끼리 함께 모였더라.
1 And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
2 그때 요자닥의 아들 예슈아와 제사장들인 그의 형제들과 셰알티엘의 아들 스룹바벨과 그의 형제들이 일어섰고, 이스라엘의 하나님의 제단을 쌓았으니, 하나님의 사람 모세의 율법 안에 기록되어 있는 대로 그 위에 번제물들을 바치려 함이더라.
2 Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
3 그리고 그들은 제단을 그의 밑받침들 위에 세웠더라. 이는 그 지방들의 백성으로 인해 그들 위에 두려움이 있었기 때문이라. 그리고 그들은 그 위에서 주께 번제물들을 바쳤으니, 바로 아침과 저녁에 드리는 번제물들이라.
3 And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
4 ¶ 그들은 또한 장막절도 그것이 기록된 대로 지켰고 관례에 따라 날마다 요구되는 의무대로 매일의 번제물들을 수량대로 바쳤더라.
4 ¶ They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;
5 그러고 난 후에 지속적인 번제물을 바쳤는데, 새 달들에 속하는 번제물과, 주의 성별되고 정해진 모든 명절들에 속하는 번제물과, 주께 자유 의지로 드리는 제물을 자원하여 바친 모든 개개인의 번제물이라.
5 And afterward offered the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.
6 일곱째 달, 일 일부터 그들이 주께 번제물들을 바치기 시작하였더라. 그러나 주의 성전의 기초는 아직 놓이지 아니하였더라.
6 From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.
7 그들은 또한 석공들과 목수들에게 돈을 주었더라. 또 음식과 음료와 기름을 지돈에서 온 자들과 티레에서 온 자들에게 주어 레바논부터 욥파의 바다까지 백향목들을 가져오게 하였으니, 그들이 페르시아 왕 키루스에게서 얻은 승인에 따른 것이라.
7 They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia.
8 ¶ 이제 그들이 예루살렘에 있는 하나님의 집에 온 지 둘째 해, 둘째 달이 되었을 때 셰알티엘의 아들 스룹바벨과, 요자닥의 아들 예슈아와, 제사장들과 레위인들인 그들의 형제들 중 남은 자들과, 포로 생활에서 벗어나 예루살렘에 온 모든 자들이 공사를 시작하였고, 레위인들을 이십 세 이상부터 임명하여 주의 집의 공사를 추진하게 하였더라.
8 ¶ Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.
9 그때 예슈아가 그의 아들들과 그의 형제들과 더불어 유다의 자손들인 캇미엘과 그의 아들들과 다 함께 일어섰으니, 하나님의 집 안에서 기술자들이 공사를 추진하게 하려 함이더라. 곧 헤나닷의 아들들과 아울러 레위인들인 그들의 아들들과 그들의 형제들이라.
9 Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.
10 그리고 건축자들이 주의 성전의 기초를 놓았을 때 그들이 제사장들을 세워 그들의 의관을 입은 채 나팔들을 들게 하였고 아삽의 아들들인 레위인들을 세워 심벌들을 들게 하였으니, 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 법령에 따라 주를 찬송하기 위함이더라.
10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.
11 그런즉 그들은 계통별로 함께 주께 찬송하고 감사들을 드리면서 노래하였더라. 이는 그분께서 선하신 까닭이요, 그분의 자비가 영원토록 이스라엘을 향하여 지속되기 때문이라. 그리고 주의 집의 기초가 놓인 까닭에 그들이 주를 찬송하였을 때 모든 백성은 커다란 함성을 질렀더라.
11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
12 그러나 제사장들과 레위인들과, 첫 번째 집을 보았던 남자 원로들인 아버지들의 우두머리들 중 많은 이들이 이 집의 기초가 그들의 눈 앞에 놓였을 때 큰 목소리로 울었더라. 그리고 많은 이들이 즐거움으로 크게 함성을 질렀더라.
12 But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
13 그렇기에 백성은 즐거움에서 나오는 환호성과 백성의 울음소리를 분별할 수 없었더라. 이는 백성이 큰 함성을 질렀고 그 떠들썩한 소리가 멀리 떨어진 데서도 들렸기 때문이라.
13 So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off.
