1 그때 다리우스왕이 칙령을 제정하였는데, 두루마리들을 둔 집 안에서 탐색이 이루어지게 하였으니, 그곳은 바빌론에 보물들이 쌓여 있는 곳이었더라.
1 Then Darius the king made a decree, and search was made in the house of the rolls, where the treasures were laid up in Babylon.
2 그러자 메데 사람들의 속주 안에 있는 궁전 안 악메다에서 두루마리가 발견되었으니, 그 안에 이같이 적힌 기록이 있었더라.
2 And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a roll, and therein was a record thus written:
3 “키루스왕 제일년에 바로 그 키루스왕이 예루살렘에 있는 하나님의 집에 관하여 칙령을 제정하였으니, 다음과 같도다. ‘그 집, 곧 그들이 희생 제물들을 바쳤던 그 장소가 건축되게 하고 그곳의 기초들이 튼튼하게 놓이게 하라. 그것의 높이는 육십 큐빗으로 하고, 그것의 너비는 육십 큐빗으로 하라.
3 In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof threescore cubits;
4 세 줄은 커다란 돌들로 하고, 한 줄은 새 재목으로 하라. 그리고 지출 비용들은 왕의 집에서 지급되게 하라.
4 With three rows of great stones, and a row of new timber: and let the expenses be given out of the king's house:
5 그리고 또한 네부카드네자르가 예루살렘에 있는 성전에서 꺼내어 바빌론으로 가져간, 하나님의 집의 금 기물들과 은 기물들이 회복되게 하고, 예루살렘에 있는 성전에 다시 가져가게 하여 그것들 각각이 그의 위치에 있도록 하나님의 집 안에 그것들을 배치하라.’
5 And also let the golden and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took forth out of the temple which is at Jerusalem, and brought unto Babylon, be restored, and brought again unto the temple which is at Jerusalem, every one to his place, and place them in the house of God.
6 그러므로 이제 너희, 곧 강 너머의 총독 탓나이와, 강 너머에 있는 아팔삭족들인 셰달보즈나이와 너희의 관료들은 그곳을 멀리하라.
6 Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shetharboznai, and your companions the Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:
7 이 하나님의 집의 공사를 내버려 두라. 유대인들의 총독과 유대인들의 장로들이 이 하나님의 집을 그의 위치에 건축하도록 허락하라.
7 Let the work of this house of God alone; let the governor of the Jews and the elders of the Jews build this house of God in his place.
8 이뿐만 아니라 너희가 이 하나님의 집의 건축을 위하여 이 유대인들의 장로들에게 무엇을 행할지 내가 칙령을 제정하노니, 왕의 소유물들 중에서, 곧 강 너머의 공세 중에서 이 사람들에게 지출 경비들이 곧바로 지급되게 하여 그것들이 지연되지 않게 하라.
8 Moreover I make a decree what ye shall do to the elders of these Jews for the building of this house of God: that of the king's goods, even of the tribute beyond the river, forthwith expenses be given unto these men, that they be not hindered.
9 그리고 하늘의 하나님의 번제물들을 위한 어린 수송아지들과 숫양들과 어린양들 모두와, 밀과 소금과 포도즙과 기름 중 그들이 필요로 하는 것은 예루살렘에 있는 제사장들의 지정대로 나날이 끊기지 않고 그들에게 그것이 지급되게 하라.
9 And that which they have need of, both young bullocks, and rams, and lambs, for the burnt offerings of the God of heaven, wheat, salt, wine, and oil, according to the appointment of the priests which are at Jerusalem, let it be given them day by day without fail:
10 이는 그들이 하늘의 하나님께 감미로운 향기들의 희생 제물들을 바치고 왕의 생명과 그의 아들들의 생명을 위하여 기도하게 하려 함이라.
10 That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.
11 또한 내가 칙령을 제정하였나니, 곧 이 말을 변개하는 자는 누구든지 그의 집에서 대들보를 아래로 빼서 세워 놓게 하고, 그를 그 위에 매달리게 하라. 그리하여 그의 집이 이것으로 인하여 거름 더미가 되게 하라.
11 Also I have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
12 그리고 자신의 이름을 거기에 거하게 하신 하나님께서 예루살렘에 있는 하나님의 이 집을 바꾸고 멸하고자 자신들의 손을 댈 모든 왕들과 백성을 멸하시기를 바라노라. 나 다리우스가 칙령을 제정하였노라. 그것이 신속하게 이루어지게 하라.”
12 And the God that hath caused his name to dwell there destroy all kings and people, that shall put to their hand to alter and to destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I Darius have made a decree; let it be done with speed.
13 ¶ 그때 강 이편의 총독 탓나이와, 셰달보즈나이와 그들의 관료들이 다리우스왕이 보낸 것에 따라 그들이 그와 같이 신속하게 행하였더라.
13 ¶ Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, according to that which Darius the king had sent, so they did speedily.
14 그리하여 유대인들의 장로들이 건축하였고, 그들이 예언자 학개와 잇도의 아들 스가랴가 예언함을 통하여 형통하였더라. 그런즉 이스라엘의 하나님의 명령에 따라, 또 키루스와 다리우스와 페르시아 왕 아르타크세르크세스의 명령에 따라 그들이 건축하였고 그것을 완공하였더라.
14 And the elders of the Jews builded, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.
15 그리하여 이 집이 다리우스왕의 통치 제육년에 있었던 아달 월 셋째 날에 완공되었더라.
15 And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.
16 ¶ 그리고 이스라엘 자녀들과 제사장들과 레위인들과 포로로 잡혀갔던 자들의 자녀들 중 나머지 사람들이 즐거움으로 이 하나님의 집의 봉헌식을 거행하였으며,
16 ¶ And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,
17 이 하나님의 집의 봉헌식에 일백 마리의 수송아지들과 이백 마리의 숫양들과 사백 마리의 어린양들을 바쳤더라. 또 온 이스라엘을 위한 죄 제물로서 이스라엘 지파들의 수대로 열두 마리의 숫염소들을 바쳤더라.
17 And offered at the dedication of this house of God an hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve he goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.
18 그리고 그들이 예루살렘에 계신 하나님을 섬기는 일을 위하여 제사장들을 그들의 구분들대로, 레위인들을 그들의 계통들대로 세웠더라. 그것은 모세의 책 안에 기록되어 있는 대로더라.
18 And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, for the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; as it is written in the book of Moses.
19 그리고 포로로 잡혀갔던 자들의 자녀들이 첫째 달, 십사 일에 유월절을 지켰더라.
19 And the children of the captivity kept the passover upon the fourteenth day of the first month.
20 이는 제사장들과 레위인들이 함께 정화되었고 그들 모두가 순수하였으며 포로로 잡혀갔던 자들의 모든 자녀들과 제사장들인 그들의 형제들과 그들 자신을 위해 유월절 어린양을 잡았기 때문이라.
20 For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
21 그리고 포로 생활에서 벗어나 다시 돌아온 이스라엘 자녀들과, 이스라엘의 주 하나님을 찾고자 그 지역의 이교도들의 추악함으로부터 자신들을 구별하여 이들에게 온 모든 자들이 먹었고,
21 And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek the LORD God of Israel, did eat,
22 칠 일 동안 즐거움으로 무교절을 지켰더라. 이는 주께서 그들을 즐거움으로 충만하게 하셨고 아시리아 왕의 마음을 그들에게 돌리시어 하나님, 곧 이스라엘의 하나님의 집의 공사에서 그들의 손을 강화시키셨기 때문이라.
22 And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the LORD had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, to strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
