1 이후에 그분께서 그들에게 비유들로 이렇게 말씀하기 시작하셨더라. “어떤 한 사람이 포도원을 세우고 그것 주위로 울타리를 둘렀으며, 포도즙 짜는 틀을 위한 자리를 파내며 망대를 세웠고, 농부들에게 그것을 세로 주고는 먼 나라로 떠났더라.

1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

2 그러고 나서 그 시기에 그가 농부들에게 한 종을 보내었으니, 그가 농부들로부터 포도원의 열매에서 난 것을 받으려 함이더라.

2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.

3 그러자 그들이 그를 잡고 그를 때렸으며 그를 빈손으로 돌려보냈더라.

3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.

4 그리고 다시금 그가 그들에게 또 다른 종을 보냈는데 그들이 그에게 돌들을 던져서 그의 머리에 상처를 입혔고, 수치스럽게 처우 받은 그를 돌려보냈더라.

4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

5 그런 다음에 다시금 그가 다른 이를 보냈는데 그들이 그를 죽였고 다른 많은 이들도 그리하였으니, 일부는 때리고 일부는 죽였더라.

5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

6 그러므로 그의 사랑을 크게 받는 유일한 아들이 아직 있었기에, 그가 마지막으로 그도 그들에게 보내면서 말하기를, ‘그들이 내 아들은 경외하리라.’ 하였더라.

6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

7 그러나 그 농부들이 자기들끼리 말하기를, ‘이 자가 상속자구나. 오라, 우리가 그를 죽이자. 그리하면 그 유산이 우리의 것이 되리라.’ 하였더라.

7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

8 그리하여 그들이 그를 잡고 그를 죽였으니, 포도원 밖으로 그를 내던졌더라.

8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.

9 그러므로 그 포도원의 소유주가 무엇을 해야 하겠느냐? 그가 와서 농부들을 멸할 것이요, 그 포도원을 다른 이들에게 줄 것이라.

9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

10 그런즉 너희는 이 성경 기록을 읽어 본 적이 없느냐? ‘건축자들이 거절한 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되나이다.

10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

11 이것은 주께서 행하신 일이요, 그것은 우리의 눈에 놀랍나이다.’ 한 것이라.”

11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

12 그러자 그들이 그분을 붙잡으려고 하였으나 백성을 두려워하였더라. 이는 그분께서 자신들을 대적하여 비유를 말씀하셨음을 그들이 알았기 때문이라. 그리하여 그들이 그분을 떠나서 자신들의 길을 갔더라.

12 And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.

13 ¶ 이후에 그들은 바리새파 사람들 중 몇 사람과 헤롯 당원들 중 몇 사람을 그분께 보내니, 그분의 말들로 그분을 얽어매려는 것이더라.

13 ¶ And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.

14 그러고 나서 그들이 오자 그들은 그분께 이같이 말씀드리니라. “스승이여, 당신께서는 진실하시고, 어떤 사람도 개의치 아니하심을 우리가 아나이다. 이는 당신께서 사람들의 외모를 중요시하지 않으시고 오직 진리 안에서 하나님의 길을 가르치시기 때문이니이다. 카이사르에게 공세를 내는 것이 합법적이니이까? 아니면 그렇지 않나이까?

14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

15 우리가 내야 하나이까? 아니면 내지 말아야 하나이까?” 그러나 그분께서 그들의 위선을 알고 계시기에 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “어찌하여 너희는 나를 시험하느냐? 나에게 페니³ 한 닢을 가져와서 내가 그것을 볼 수 있게 하라.” 하셨느니라.

15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

16 그러자 그들이 그것을 가져오니, 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “이 형상과 상부 표기가 누구의 것이냐?” 하시니라. 이에 그들이 그분께 말씀드리기를, “카이사르의 것이니이다.” 하였더라.

16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.

17 이에 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하며 말씀하시기를, “카이사르에게 속한 것들은 카이사르에게 돌려주고 하나님께 속한 것들은 하나님께 돌려드리라.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그들이 그분에 대하여 놀라워하였더라.

17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

18 ¶ 그때 부활이 전혀 없다고 말하는 사두개파 사람들이 그분께 오니, 그들이 그분께 여쭈며 말씀드렸더라.

18 ¶ Then come unto him the Sadducees, which say there is no resurrection; and they asked him, saying,

19 “스승이여, 모세가 우리에게 기록하였으니, ‘어떤 남자의 형제가 죽어서 자기 뒤로 그의 아내를 남기되 자식을 남기지 않으면 그의 형제가 그의 아내를 취하여 자기 형제에게 씨를 일으켜야 하리라.’ 하였나이다.

19 Master, Moses wrote unto us, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leave no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

20 이제 일곱 형제가 있었는데 첫째가 한 아내를 취하였다가 씨를 남기지 않은 채 죽었고,

20 Now there were seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and dying left no seed.

21 둘째도 그녀를 취하였다가 죽었는데 그 또한 어떤 씨도 남기지 않았으며, 셋째도 이와 마찬가지로 행하였나이다.

21 And the second took her, and died, neither left he any seed: and the third likewise.

22 그리하여 그 일곱이 그녀를 취하였으나 씨를 남기지 않았고 최후에는 그 여자 역시 죽었나이다.

22 And the seven had her, and left no seed: last of all the woman died also.

23 그러므로 부활 때 그들이 살아나게 되면 그녀는 그들 중 누구의 아내가 되겠나이까? 이는 그 일곱이 그녀를 아내로 취하였기 때문이니이다.”

23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.

24 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하며 말씀하셨느니라. “그러므로 너희가 성경 기록들도 모르고 하나님의 권능도 모르기 때문에 너희가 잘못을 범하는 것이 아니냐?

24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

25 이는 그들이 죽은 자들로부터 살아날 때면 그들은 장가가지도 시집가지도 않으며 오히려 하늘에 있는 천사들과 같기 때문이라.

25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

26 그리고 죽은 자들과 관련해서는 그들이 살아나나니, 너희는 하나님께서 어떻게 떨기나무 가운데서 그에게 일러 말씀하셨는지 모세의 책 안에서 읽어 본 적이 없느냐? ‘나는 아브라함의 하나님이요, 이삭의 하나님이요, 야곱의 하나님이라.’ 하신 것이라.

26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

27 그분은 죽은 자들의 하나님이 아니요, 오직 살아 있는 자들의 하나님이시라. 그러므로 너희가 크나큰 잘못을 범하는도다.”

27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28 ¶ 이에 서기관들 중 하나가 왔는데 그들이 함께 논하는 것을 듣다가 그분께서 그들에게 잘 대답하신 것을 알고는 그분께 여쭈기를, “모든 명령들 중 첫째 명령은 어떤 것이니이까?” 하였더라.

28 ¶ And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29 그러자 예수님께서 그에게 이같이 대답하셨느니라. “오, 이스라엘아, 들으라. 모든 명령들 중 첫째는 이것이라. ‘주 우리 하나님께서는 유일하신 주로다.

29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30 그런즉 너는 너의 마음을 다하고, 너의 혼을 다하고, 너의 생각을 다하고, 너의 힘을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑할지니라. 이것이 첫째 명령이니라.’

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

31 이어서 둘째 명령은 바꾸어 말하면 이것과 같으니, ‘너는 너의 이웃을 너 자신과 같이 사랑할지니라.’ 한 것이라. 이것들보다 더 위대한 다른 명령은 아무것도 없느니라.”

31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

32 그러자 그 서기관이 그분께 이같이 말씀드렸더라. “옳소이다, 스승이여. 당신께서는 진리를 말씀하셨나이다. 이는 유일하신 하나님이 계시며 그분 외에 다른 이는 아무도 없기 때문이니이다.

32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:

33 그리고 마음을 다하고, 지각을 다하고, 혼을 다하고, 힘을 다하여 그분을 사랑하는 것과 자기 이웃을 자기 자신과 같이 사랑하는 것은 모든 온전한 번제물들과 희생 제물들보다 더 크니이다.”

33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

34 그러자 예수님께서 그가 사려 깊게 대답한 것을 보시자 그분께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “네가 하나님의 왕국에서 멀리 있지 아니하도다.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그 뒤에는 아무도 감히 그분께 어떤 질문도 여쭈지 못하더라.

34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

35 ¶ 그런 다음에 예수님께서 성전 안에서 가르치신 동안 그분께서 이같이 대답하며 말씀하셨느니라. “어찌하여 서기관들은 그리스도가 다윗의 아들이라 말하는 것이냐?

35 ¶ And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the Son of David?

36 이는 다윗 스스로 성령에 의하여 이같이 말하였기 때문이라. ‘주께서 나의 주께 말씀하시기를, ‘너는 내가 너의 원수들을 너의 발등상으로 삼을 때까지 나의 오른편에 앉아 있으라.’ 하셨나이다.’

36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

37 그러므로 다윗 자신도 그를 주라고 부르니, 그렇다면 어떻게 그가 그의 자손이냐?” 그러자 일반 백성이 그분의 말을 달갑게 들었더라.

37 David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

38 ¶ 이에 그분께서 그들에게 자신의 교리로 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “서기관들을 경계하라. 그들은 긴 옷차림으로 다니는 것을 사랑하며, 장터들 안에서 인사들을 받는 것을 사랑하고,

38 ¶ And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

39 회당들 안에서는 으뜸가는 자리들을, 또 잔치들에서는 가장 윗 좌석들을 사랑하느니라.

39 And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts:

40 그들은 과부들의 집들을 삼키며, 겉치레로 기도들을 길게 하느니라. 이들은 더 심한 영벌의 심판을 받으리라.”

40 Which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

41 이후에 예수님께서 성전 금고의 맞은편에 앉으셨으며, 백성이 어떻게 성전 금고 안으로 돈을 던지는지 보셨더라. 그런즉 많은 부자들이 상당한 금액을 던져 넣더라.

41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.

42 또한 어떤 가난한 과부 한 명이 왔는데 그녀가 이 마이트⁴를 투입하였으니, 그것은 곧 일 파딩⁵이었더라.

42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.

43 그러자 그분께서 자신의 제자들을 그분께로 불러 그들에게 이같이 말씀하시니라. “진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, ‘성전 금고 안으로 돈을 던진 자들 모두보다 이 가난한 과부가 더 많이 던져 넣었도다.’

43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

44 이는 그들 모두가 자신들의 풍요함 가운데서 던져 넣었으나 그녀는 자신의 부족한 데서 그녀가 가진 전부, 곧 그녀의 생활비 전부를 던져 넣었기 때문이라.”

44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
