1 이스라엘 왕 여로보암의 제이십칠년에 유다 왕 아마지야의 아들 아자리야가 통치하기 시작하였더라.
1 In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.
2 그가 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 십육 세였고, 그가 예루살렘에서 오십이 년 동안 통치하였더라. 그리고 그의 어머니의 이름은 예루살렘 출신의 여콜리야였더라.
2 Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.
3 그리고 그는 그의 아버지 아마지야가 행한 모든 것대로 주의 목전에 옳은 것을 행하였으나,
3 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;
4 높은 처소들은 치워지지 아니하였더라. 백성은 계속 높은 처소들에서 희생 제물을 드렸고 향을 태웠더라.
4 Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.
5 ¶ 이후에 주께서 왕을 치셨기에 그가 자신이 죽는 날까지 나병 환자였고, 별채 안에 거하였더라. 그리고 왕의 아들 요담이 영토의 백성을 재판하면서 집을 다스렸더라.
5 ¶ And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
6 그리고 아자리야의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것, 그것들이 유다 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
6 And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
7 그렇게 하여 아자리야가 그의 조상들과 함께 잠들었더라. 그러자 그들이 그를 다윗의 도시 안에서 그의 조상들과 함께 장사하였더라. 그리고 그의 아들 요담이 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
7 So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.
8 ¶ 유다 왕 아자리야의 제삼십팔년에 여로보암의 아들 사카리야가 사마리아에서 육 개월 동안 이스라엘을 통치하였더라.
8 ¶ In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.
9 그리고 그는 그의 조상들이 행한 대로 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라. 그가 이스라엘을 죄짓게 만든, 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄들에서 떠나지 아니하였더라.
9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
10 이후에 야베시의 아들 샬룸이 그를 대적하여 모반하였고 백성 앞에서 그를 쳐서 그를 살해하였으니, 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
10 And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
11 그리고 사카리야의 행적들 중 나머지는, 보라, 그것들이 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있느니라.
11 And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
12 그분께서 예후에게 전하신 주의 말씀이 이러하였으니, 말씀하시기를, “너의 아들들이 사 대까지 이스라엘의 보좌 위에 앉으리라.” 하신 것이라. 그러자 그것이 그렇게 이루어졌더라.
12 This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.
13 ¶ 야베시의 아들 샬룸이 유다 왕 웃지야의 제삼십구년에 통치하기 시작하였더라. 그리고 그가 사마리아에서 꼬박 일 개월 동안 통치하였더라.
13 ¶ Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.
14 이는 가디의 아들 므나헴이 티르자에서부터 올라와서 사마리아에 이르렀고, 사마리아에 있는 야베시의 아들 샬룸을 쳐서 그를 살해하였고 그를 대신하여 통치하였기 때문이라.
14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
15 그리고 샬룸의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 일으킨 그의 모반은, 보라, 그것들이 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있느니라.
15 And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
16 ¶ 그때 므나헴이 팁사를 쳤고 그 안에 있던 모든 자들과 티르자에서부터 그곳의 지경들을 쳤더라. 그들이 그에게 문을 개방하지 아니하였으므로 그가 그곳을 쳤더라. 그리고 그가 아이를 밴 그곳의 모든 여자들의 배를 갈랐더라.
16 ¶ Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
17 유다 왕 아자리야의 제삼십구년에 가디의 아들 므나헴이 이스라엘을 통치하기 시작하였으니, 사마리아에서 십 년 동안 통치하였더라.
17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.
18 그리고 그는 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라. 그가 이스라엘을 죄짓게 만든, 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄들로부터 그의 생애의 모든 날들 동안 떠나지 아니하였더라.
18 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
19 이후에 아시리아의 왕 풀이 영토를 쳐들어왔더라. 그러자 므나헴이 풀에게 은 일천 달란트를 주었으니, 그의 손이 자신과 함께하게 하여 왕국을 자신의 손안에 확고하게 넣으려는 것이었더라.
19 And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.
20 그리하여 므나헴은 이스라엘의 돈을 착취하였으니, 이는 아시리아 왕에게 주기 위하여 부를 가진 모든 막강한 사람들 중 각인에게서 은 오십 셰켈씩 거둔 것이었더라. 그렇게 하여 아시리아 왕이 도로 돌이켰고 거기 그 영토 안에서 머무르지 아니하였더라.
20 And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.
21 ¶ 그리고 므나헴의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것, 곧 그것들이 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
21 ¶ And the rest of the acts of Menahem, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
22 이후에 므나헴이 자기 조상들과 함께 잠들었더라. 그리고 그의 아들 프카히야가 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
22 And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.
23 ¶ 유다 왕 아자리야의 제오십년에 므나헴의 아들 프카히야가 사마리아에서 이스라엘을 통치하기 시작하였으니, 이 년 동안 통치하였더라.
23 ¶ In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.
24 그리고 그는 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라. 그가 이스라엘을 죄짓게 만든, 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄들로부터 떠나지 아니하였더라.
24 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
25 그러나 그에게 속한 한 대장이었던, 르말리야의 아들 페카가 그를 대적하여 모반하였고 사마리아에 있는 왕의 집에 속한 궁전에서 그를 쳤으니, 아르곱과 아리에가 함께하였고, 또 길르앗족들에 속한 오십 명의 남자들이 그와 함께하였더라. 그런즉 그가 그를 죽였고 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.
26 그리고 프카히야의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것은, 보라, 그것들이 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있느니라.
26 And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
27 ¶ 유다 왕 아자리야의 제오십이년에 르말리야의 아들 페카가 사마리아에서 이스라엘을 통치하기 시작하였으니, 이십 년 동안 통치하였더라.
27 ¶ In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.
28 그리고 그는 주의 목전에 악한 것을 행하였더라. 그가 이스라엘을 죄짓게 만든, 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄들로부터 떠나지 아니하였더라.
28 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
29 이스라엘 왕 페카의 날들에 아시리아 왕 티글랏필레셀이 쳐들어와서 이욘과 아벨벧마아카와 야노아와 케데시와 하졸과 길르앗과 납탈리 전역인 갈릴리를 점령하였고 그들을 아시리아까지 포로로 잡아갔더라.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
30 그리고 엘라의 아들 호셰아가 르말리야의 아들 페카를 대적하여 모반을 일으켰고 그를 쳐서 그를 살해하였고 그를 대신하여 통치하였으니, 웃지야의 아들 요담의 제이십년이었더라.
30 And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.
31 그리고 페카의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것은, 보라, 그것들이 이스라엘 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있느니라.
31 And the rest of the acts of Pekah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.
32 ¶ 이스라엘 왕 르말리야의 아들 페카 제이년에 유다 왕 웃지야의 아들 요담이 통치하기 시작하였더라.
32 ¶ In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.
33 그가 통치하기 시작하였을 때 그는 이십오 세였으며, 그가 예루살렘에서 십육 년 동안 통치하였더라. 그리고 그의 어머니의 이름은 여루샤로, 사독의 딸이었더라.
33 Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.
34 그리고 그는 주의 목전에 옳은 것을 행하였더라. 그가 그의 아버지 웃지야가 행한 모든 것대로 행하였더라.
34 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
35 ¶ 하지만 높은 처소들은 치워지지 아니하였더라. 백성은 높은 처소들 안에서 계속 희생 제물을 드렸고 향을 태웠더라. 그가 주의 집의 상등문을 건축하였더라.
35 ¶ Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.
36 ¶ 이제 요담의 행적들 중 나머지와 그가 행한 모든 것, 곧 그것들이 유다 왕들의 연대기들의 책 안에 기록되어 있지 아니하냐?
36 ¶ Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
37 그 당시에 주께서 유다를 대적하여 시리아 왕 르진과 르말리야의 아들 페카를 보내시기 시작하셨더라.
37 In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
38 이후에 요담이 그의 조상들과 함께 잠들었고 그의 조상 다윗의 도시 안에 그의 조상들과 함께 장사되었더라. 그리고 그의 아들 아하즈가 그를 대신하여 통치하였더라.
38 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.
