1 그리고 이 모든 것들, 곧 내가 네 앞에 놓아 둔 복과 저주가 네 위에 임하였기에 네가 주 너의 하나님께서 너를 그리로 내쫓으신 모든 민족들 가운데서 그것들을 생각하여
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
2 주 너의 하나님께로 되돌아와서 내가 이날에 너에게 명령하는 모든 것에 따라 너와 너의 자녀들이 너의 마음을 다하고 너의 혼을 다하여 그분의 음성에 순종할 때 이러한 일이 있으리니,
2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 그때 주 너의 하나님께서 너의 포로된 것을 돌려 놓으실 것이요, 너의 위에 연민을 가지실 것이며, 주 너의 하나님께서 너를 그리로 흩으신 모든 민족들로부터 너를 귀환하게 하시고 모으시리라.
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 만일 너에게 속한 누군가가 하늘의 가장 바깥 구역들로 내쫓긴다면, 주 너의 하나님께서 거기서 너를 모으실 것이요, 그분께서 거기서부터 너를 데려 오시리라.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 그러고 나서 주 너의 하나님께서 너의 조상들이 소유하였던 지역 가운데로 너를 데려오시리니, 네가 그곳을 차지하리라. 그리고 그분께서 너에게 선을 행하실 것이요, 너의 조상들 이상으로 너를 번성하게 하시리라.
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6 그리고 너의 마음을 다하고 너의 혼을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하도록 주 너의 하나님께서 너의 마음과 너의 씨의 마음에 할례를 행하시리니, 너로 하여금 살게 하려 하심이라.
6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
7 그리고 주 너의 하나님께서 이 모든 저주들을 너의 원수들 위에 두시고, 너를 증오하고 너를 박해하던 자들 위에 두실 것이라.
7 And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
8 그리하여 너는 되돌아와서 주의 음성에 순종하고 내가 이날에 너에게 명령하는 그분의 모든 명령들을 실행하리라.
8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
9 그리고 주 너의 하나님께서 너의 손이 하는 모든 일마다 풍요하게 하시리니, 너의 몸의 열매에 있어서도, 너의 가축들의 열매에 있어서도, 너의 지역의 열매에 있어서도 풍요하게 하시어 잘되게 하시리라. 이는 그분께서 너의 조상들을 크게 기뻐하셨던 것과 같이 주께서 다시 너를 크게 기뻐하시어 잘되게 하실 것이기 때문이라.
9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
10 만일 네가 주 너의 하나님의 음성에 경청하여 이 율법 책 안에 기록되어 있는 그분의 명령들과 그분의 규례들을 지킨다면, 그리고 만일 네가 주 너의 하나님께로 너의 마음을 다하고 너의 혼을 다하여 돌아온다면 그리하시리라.
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 ¶ 이는 내가 이날에 너에게 명령하는 이 명령, 그것이 너에게서 숨겨져 있지도 아니하고, 그것이 멀리 떨어져 있지도 아니하기 때문이라.
11 ¶ For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 그것은 하늘에 있지 아니하니, ‘누가 우리를 위하여 하늘로 올라가 그것을 우리에게로 가져와서 우리로 하여금 그것을 듣고 그것을 실행할 수 있게 하겠는가?’라고 네가 말하지 않게 하려 함이라.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 그것은 바다 너머에 있지도 아니하니, ‘누가 우리를 위하여 바다를 건너가 그것을 우리에게로 가져와서 우리로 하여금 그것을 듣고 그것을 실행할 수 있게 하겠는가?’라고 네가 말하지 않게 하려 함이라.
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 오직 그 말씀은 너에게 매우 가까워서 너의 입안에 있고 너의 마음속에 있으니, 네가 그것을 실행할 수 있게 하려 함이라.
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.
15 ¶ 보라, 내가 이날에 생명과 선, 또 죽음과 악을 너의 앞에 두었나니,
15 ¶ See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하고 그분의 길들 가운데 살아가며 그분의 명령들과 그분의 규례들과 그분의 공의로운 법규들을 지키라고 이날 내가 너에게 명령한 말씀 안에 그것들을 두었느니라. 이는 너로 하여금 살고 번성하게 하려 함이라. 그런즉 주 너의 하나님께서 네가 그곳을 차지하러 가는 그 지역 가운데서 너에게 복을 주시리라.
16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 그러나 만일 너의 마음이 돌아서서 네가 들으려고도 하지 아니하고 오히려 이끌려 가서 다른 신들을 경배하고 그것들을 섬긴다면,
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 내가 이날 너희에게 엄히 선언하노니, 너희는 반드시 망할 것이요, 네가 그곳을 차지하러 가기 위해 요르단을 넘어가는 그 지역 위에서 너희가 너희의 날들을 연장하지 못하리라.
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19 내가 이날에 하늘과 땅을 불러서 너희를 대적하여 기록하게 하노니, 내가 너희 앞에 생명과 죽음, 복과 저주를 놓아 두었느니라. 그러므로 생명을 선택하여 너와 너의 씨 모두가 살 수 있게 하라.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
20 이는 네가 주께서 너의 조상들에게, 곧 아브라함에게와 이삭에게와 야곱에게 맹세하시어 그들에게 주기로 하신 그 지역 가운데서 거할 수 있도록, 네가 주 너의 하나님을 사랑하게 하려 함이요, 네가 그분의 음성에 순종하게 하려 함이며, 네가 그분께 밀착하게 하려 함이니, 그분께서는 너의 생명이시요, 너의 날들의 수한이시기 때문이라.”
20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
