1 그때 솔로몬이 이스라엘의 장로들과 지파들의 모든 수장들과 이스라엘 자녀들의 아버지들의 우두머리들을 예루살렘에 있는 솔로몬왕에게로 결집시켰으니, 그들이 주의 언약궤를 시온에 있는 다윗의 도시에서 가지고 올라오게 하려 함이라.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion.

2 그리하여 이스라엘의 모든 사람들이 일곱째 달인 에다님 월의 명절에 솔로몬왕에게 스스로 결집하였더라.

And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

3 그리고 이스라엘의 모든 장로들이 왔으니, 제사장들이 법궤를 들어 올렸더라.

And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

4 그리고 그들이 주의 언약궤와 회중의 성막과 성막 안에 있던 모든 거룩한 기물들을 가지고 올라왔으니, 바로 그것들을 제사장들과 레위인들이 가지고 올라왔더라.

And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.

5 그리고 솔로몬왕과 그에게로 결집한 이스라엘의 온 회중은 법궤 앞에서 그와 함께 있으면서 양들과 소들을 희생 제물로 드렸으니, 그것들은 헤아려질 수도, 계수될 수도 없을 만큼 허다한 수였더라.

And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

6 그리고 제사장들은 주의 언약궤를 그의 처소로 가지고 들어왔으니, 그 집의 신탁의 장소로, 지성소로, 곧 그룹들의 날개들 아래로 가져왔더라.

And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims.

7 이는 그룹들이 그들의 두 날개를 법궤가 놓인 장소 위에서 앞으로 펼쳤고, 그룹들이 법궤와 그것의 막대들을 상부에서 덮었기 때문이라.

For the cherubims spread forth their two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.

8 그리고 그들이 막대들을 빼냈으니, 막대들의 끝들이 신탁의 장소 앞 거룩한 처소 안에서 보였으며, 그것들이 밖에서는 보이지 아니하였더라. 그리하여 그것들이 오늘날까지 거기에 있느니라.

And they drew out the staves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.

9 주께서 이스라엘 자녀들과 언약을 맺으실 때요, 그들이 이집트 지역에서 나왔을 때 모세가 호렙에서 거기에 넣은 두 돌판들을 제외하고는 법궤 안에 아무것도 없었더라.

There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

10 그리고 제사장들이 거룩한 처소에서 나왔을 때 이러한 일이 있었으니, 구름이 주의 집을 가득 채웠더라.

And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

11 그렇기에 구름 때문에 제사장들이 섬기려고 설 수 없었더라. 이는 주의 영광이 주의 집을 가득 채웠기 때문이라.

So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

12 ¶ 그때 솔로몬이 이르기를, “주께서는 친히 짙은 흑암 속에서 거하시겠다고 말씀하셨나이다.

¶ Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

13 확실히 제가 당신께서 머무실 집을 지었사오니, 곧 당신께서 영원히 거하실 안정된 처소이니이다.” 하였더라.

I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.

14 그리고 왕이 그의 얼굴의 방향을 전환하여 이스라엘 온 회중을 축복하였더라. (이때에 이스라엘의 온 회중은 서 있었더라.)

And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: (and all the congregation of Israel stood;)

15 그러면서 그가 이같이 말하였더라. “이스라엘의 주 하나님께서 찬양받으시기를 바라노라. 그분께서 자신의 입으로 나의 아버지 다윗에게 말씀하셨고 그분의 손으로 그것을 이루셨으니, 말씀하시기를,

And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, which spake with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled it, saying,

16 ‘내가 나의 백성 이스라엘을 이집트에서 데리고 나온 그날 이래로, 나는 이스라엘의 모든 지파들 중에서 나의 이름이 그 안에 있게 할 집을 건축하려고 아무 도시도 선택하지 아니하였노라. 다만 내가 다윗을 선택하여 나의 백성 이스라엘을 다스리도록 하였도다.’ 하셨느니라.

Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build an house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

17 그런즉 나의 아버지 다윗의 마음속에 이스라엘의 주 하나님의 이름을 위하여 집을 건축하는 것이 있었도다.

And it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

18 그러자 주께서 나의 아버지 다윗에게 이같이 말씀하셨노라. ‘그러나 네가 나의 이름을 위하여 집을 건축하는 것이 너의 마음속에 있었으니, 그것이 너의 마음속에 있었던 것은 네가 잘한 것이라.

And the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart.

19 그럼에도 불구하고 너는 그 집을 건축하지 못하리라. 오직 너의 허리에서 나올 너의 아들, 그가 나의 이름을 위하여 그 집을 건축하리라.’

Nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.

20 그리하여 주께서 자신이 언급하신 그분의 말씀을 이행하셨으니, 내가 나의 아버지 다윗을 대신하여 일어나서 주께서 약속하신 대로 이스라엘의 보좌 위에 앉아 이스라엘의 주 하나님의 이름을 위하여 집을 건축하였도다.

And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

21 그리고 나는 주의 언약이 그 안에 있는 법궤를 위한 한 장소를 거기에 마련하였으니, 그 언약은 그분께서 이집트 지역에서 우리 조상들을 데리고 나오셨을 때 친히 그들과 맺으신 것이라.”

And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

22 ¶ 그리고 솔로몬은 이스라엘의 온 회중의 면전에서 주의 제단 앞에 서서 그의 두 손을 하늘을 향하여 활짝 펼쳤더라.

¶ And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:

23 그러면서 그가 이같이 말하였더라. “이스라엘의 주 하나님이여, 당신과 같은 하나님은 하늘 위에나 땅 아래에도 없나이다. 그분께서는 그들의 마음을 다하여 당신 앞에서 살아가는 자신의 종들에게 언약과 자비를 지키시나이다.

And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:

24 당신께서는 친히 나의 아버지인 당신의 종 다윗에게 약속하신 것을 그에게 지키셨나이다. 당신께서는 또한 당신의 입으로 말씀하셨고 그것을 당신의 손으로 이루셨으니, 그것이 이날과 같나이다.

Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him: thou spakest also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

25 그러므로 이제 이스라엘의 주 하나님이여, 당신께서 당신의 종인, 저의 아버지 다윗에게 약속하며 말씀하시기를, ‘이스라엘의 보좌 위에 앉을 사람이 나의 목전에서 너에게 한 명도 끊기지 아니하리라. 그렇게 해서 너의 자녀들이 자신들의 길을 주의하게 하려 함이요, 그들로 하여금 네가 내 앞에서 살아갔듯이 내 앞에서 살아가게 하려 함이라.’ 하신 것을 그에게 지키소서.

Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that thou promisedst him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

26 그런즉 오, 이스라엘의 하나님이여, 제가 당신께 간구하오니, 이제 당신께서 당신의 종인, 저의 아버지 다윗에게 말씀하셨던 당신의 말씀이 확증되게 하소서.

And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.

27 그러나 정녕 하나님께서 지상에 거하시겠나이까? 보소서, 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘도 당신을 담을 수 없나이다. 하물며 제가 건축한 이 집은 얼마나 더 부족하겠나이까?

But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?

28 그럼에도 오, 주 나의 하나님이여, 당신께서는 당신의 종의 기도와 그의 간구를 존중하시어, 당신의 종이 오늘날 당신 앞에서 기도하는 부르짖음과 기도에 경청하여 주소서.

Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:

29 당신의 눈들이 이 집을 향하여 밤낮 열려 있기를 기도하오니, 바로 당신께서 말씀하시기를, ‘나의 이름이 거기에 있으리라.’ 하신 그 장소를 향하여 그리되기를 기도하나이다. 이는 당신께서 당신의 종이 이 처소를 향하여 드릴 기도에 경청하시도록 함이니이다.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

30 그리고 당신의 종과 당신의 백성 이스라엘이 이 처소를 향하여 기도할 때 당신께서 그들의 간구에 경청하여 주소서. 또 당신께서 거하시는 처소인 하늘에서 친히 들으소서. 그리하여 당신께서 들으실 때면 용서하여 주소서.

And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

31 ¶ 만일 어떤 사람이 자기 이웃을 대적하여 범법하고, 맹세가 그의 위에 놓여 있어 그로 하여금 맹세하게 하며, 그 맹세가 이 집 안에서 당신의 제단 앞에 이른다면,

¶ If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

32 그때는 하늘에서 친히 들으시고 행하시어 당신의 종들을 판단하시고 사악한 자들을 정죄하시어 그의 길이 그의 머리 위에 돌아오게 하소서. 그리고 의로운 자들의 정당함을 입증하시어 그의 의에 따라 그에게 주소서.

Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

33 ¶ 당신의 백성 이스라엘이 당신을 대적하여 죄를 지은 까닭에 그들이 원수 앞에서 타격을 입고 당신께 다시 돌이켜 당신의 이름을 시인하고 기도하며 이 집 안에서 당신께 간구를 드린다면,

¶ When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:

34 그때 당신께서 하늘에서 들어주시고 당신의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 용서해 주시며, 당신께서 그들의 조상들에게 주신 그 지역으로 다시 그들을 데려와 주소서.

Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest unto their fathers.

35 ¶ 그들이 당신을 대적하여 죄를 지은 까닭에 하늘이 닫혀 버려 비가 없을 때, 곧 당신께서 그들을 괴롭히실 때, 만일 그들이 이 처소를 향하여 기도하고 당신의 이름을 시인하며 그들의 죄에서 돌이킨다면,

¶ When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

36 그때는 하늘에서 친히 들으시고 당신의 종들의 죄와 당신의 백성 이스라엘의 죄를 용서해 주시며, 그들에게 그들이 그 가운데 살아가야만 하는 그 선한 길을 친히 가르치시고 당신께서 당신의 백성에게 유산으로 주신 당신의 지역 위에 비를 주소서.

Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou teach them the good way wherein they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

37 ¶ 만일 그 지역에 기근이 있는 경우나, 역병과 마름병과 흰곰팡이와 메뚜기가 있는 경우나, 애벌레가 있는 경우나 그들의 원수가 그들의 도시들의 영토에서 그들을 포위하는 경우, 무슨 전염병이 있든지, 무슨 병이 있든지 간에

¶ If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

38 어떤 사람에 의해서 드려지거나 당신의 온 백성 이스라엘에 의하여 드려지는 기도와 간구가 무엇이든지 간에 각인이 자기 자신의 마음의 재앙을 알고 자기 두 손을 이 집을 향하여 활짝 펼친다면,

What prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

39 그때는 당신께서 거하시는 처소인 하늘에서 친히 들으시고 용서하시며 행하시고 각인에게 그의 길들에 따라, 당신께서 아시는 그의 마음에 따라 주소서. (이는 당신께서, 바로 당신께서만 사람들의 모든 자녀들의 마음을 아시기 때문이니이다.)

Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

40 이는 당신께서 우리 조상들에게 주신 지역 가운데 그들이 사는 모든 날들 동안 그들이 당신을 두려워하게 하려 함이니이다.

That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

41 이뿐만 아니라 당신의 백성 이스라엘에 속하지 않으나 당신의 이름으로 인하여 먼 나라에서 오는 타국인에 관해서는

Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;

42 (이는 그들이 당신의 위대한 이름과 당신의 강한 손과 당신의 펼쳐진 팔에 관하여 들을 것이기 때문이니,) 그가 와서 이 집을 향하여 기도한다면,

(For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;

43 당신께서 하늘, 곧 당신께서 거하시는 처소에서 들어 주시고, 그 타국인이 당신을 부르며 구하는 모든 것들에 따라 행하여 주소서. 이는 땅의 모든 백성들이 당신의 이름을 알아 당신의 백성 이스라엘이 하듯이 당신을 두려워하게 하려 함이요, 그들이 제가 건축한 이 집이 당신의 이름으로 불리는 것을 알게 하려 함이니이다.

Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

44 ¶ 만일 당신의 백성이 당신께서 그들을 어디로 보내시든지 그들의 원수를 대적하여 전투에 나가는데 당신께서 선택하신 도성과, 제가 당신의 이름을 위하여 건축한 집을 향하여 주께 기도한다면,

¶ If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray unto the LORD toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house that I have built for thy name:

45 그때는 하늘에서 친히 그들의 기도와 그들의 간구를 들으시고 그들의 송사를 옹호하여 주소서.

Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

46 만일 그들이 당신을 대적하여 죄를 지어 (이는 죄를 짓지 아니하는 사람이 없기 때문이니이다.) 당신께서 그들에 대하여 분노하시고 그들을 원수에게 넘겨 버리신다면, 그렇게 하여 저들이 멀든지 가깝든지 원수의 지역까지 그들을 포로들로 끌고 가 버린 경우,

If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;

47 그럼에도 만일 그들이 포로들로 옮겨진 지역에서 그들이 스스로 생각이 미쳐 회개하고 자신들을 포로들로 옮긴 자들의 지역에서 당신께 간구를 드리며 말하기를, ‘우리가 죄를 지었고 비뚤어지게 행하였나이다. 우리가 사악한 짓을 저질렀나이다.’ 한다면,

Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

48 그런즉 그렇게 하여 자신들을 포로로 이끌어 가 버린 자신들의 원수들의 지역에서 그들의 마음을 다하고 그들의 혼을 다하여 당신께 되돌아오고, 당신께서 그들의 조상들에게 주신 그들의 지역과 당신께서 선택하신 도시와 제가 당신의 이름을 위하여 건축한 집을 향하여 당신께 기도한다면,

And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:

49 그때 당신께서 그들의 기도와 그들의 간구를 당신께서 거하시는 처소인 하늘에서 들어주시고 그들의 송사를 옹호하여 주시며,

Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause,

50 당신을 대적하여 죄를 지은 당신의 백성을 용서하여 주시고, 그들이 당신을 대적하여 위반한 그들의 모든 불법들을 용서하여 주시며, 그들을 포로로 옮긴 자들 앞에서 그들에게 연민을 베푸시어 저들이 그들에게 연민을 가지게 하여 주소서.

And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

51 이는 그들이 당신께서 이집트에서 데리고 나오시고 철 용광로의 한가운데서 데리고 나오신 당신의 백성이요, 당신의 유산이기 때문이오니,

For they be thy people, and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest forth out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

52 당신의 눈들을 당신의 종의 간구에, 당신의 백성 이스라엘의 간구에 여시어, 그들이 당신을 부르는 모든 일에 있어서 그들에게 경청하여 주소서.

That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.

53 이는 당신께서 그들을 당신의 유산으로 삼으시고자 땅의 모든 백성들 가운데서 구별하셨기 때문이니, 오, 주 하나님이여, 당신께서 우리의 조상들을 이집트에서 데리고 나오실 때 당신의 종 모세의 손을 통하여 친히 이야기하셨던 대로니이다.”

For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord GOD.

54 그런즉 솔로몬이 이 모든 기도와 간구로 주께 기도하는 것을 끝마쳤을 때 이와 같은 일이 있었으니, 그가 주의 제단 앞에서 자기 두 손을 하늘 위로 펼친 채 자기 두 무릎을 꿇는 자세에서 일어났더라.

And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

55 그리고 그가 서서 이스라엘의 온 회중을 큰 목소리로 축복하며 이같이 말하였더라.

And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

56 “그분께서 약속하신 모든 것에 따라 그분의 백성 이스라엘에게 안식을 주신 주께서 찬양받으시기를 바라노라. 그분께서 자신의 종 모세의 손을 통하여 약속하신 그분의 모든 선한 약속 중 한 말씀도 실패한 적이 없도다.

Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

57 주 우리 하나님께서 친히 우리의 조상들과 함께 계셨듯이 우리와 함께 하시기를 바라노라. 그분께서 우리를 떠나시지도, 우리를 저버리시지도 않게 하라.

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

58 그분께서 우리의 마음을 그분께로 기울이시어 그분의 모든 길들 가운데 살아가게 하시고 그분께서 우리 조상들에게 명령하신 그분의 명령들과 그분의 규례들과 그분의 공의로운 법규들을 지키게 하시기를 바라노라.

That he may incline our hearts unto him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

59 그리고 내가 주 앞에서 간구를 드린 나의 이 말들이 주야로 주 우리 하나님께 가까이 있게 하여 언제라도 그분께서 자신의 종의 송사와 그의 백성 이스라엘의 송사를 그 사안이 요하는 대로 옹호해 주시기를 바라노라.

And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

60 이는 땅의 모든 백성들로 하여금 주께서 하나님이시라는 것과 그분 외에 다른 신은 아무도 없다는 것을 알게 하려 함이라.

That all the people of the earth may know that the LORD is God, and that there is none else.

61 그러므로 너희 마음을 주 우리 하나님께 완전하게 하여 이날과 같이 그분의 규례들 가운데 살아가고 그분의 명령들을 지킬지어다.”

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

62 ¶ 그런즉 왕과 그와 함께한 온 이스라엘이 주 앞에서 희생 제물을 바쳤더라.

¶ And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.

63 그리고 솔로몬은 화평 제물들에 속한 희생 제물을 바쳤으니, 그것들은 그가 주께 바친 것으로, 이만 이천 마리의 소들과 십이만 마리의 양들이라. 그렇게 하여 왕과 모든 이스라엘 자녀들이 주의 집을 봉헌하였더라.

And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

64 같은 날에 왕이 주의 집 앞에 있던 뜰 중앙을 거룩하게 하였더라. 이는 거기에서 그가 번제물들과 음식 제물들과, 화평 제물들의 지방을 바쳤기 때문이니, 주 앞에 있던 놋 제단이 번제물들과 음식 제물들과, 화평 제물들의 지방을 수용하기에 너무 작았기 때문이라.

The same day did the king hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

65 그런즉 그때에 솔로몬이 명절을 지켰으며, 그의 곁에 있는 온 이스라엘도 지켰으니, 하맛으로 들어가는 진입로부터 이집트강에 이르기까지 수많은 회중이 주 우리 하나님 앞에서 칠 일 하고도 칠 일, 곧 십사 일 동안 지켰더라.

And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.

66 여덟째 날에 그가 백성을 돌려보냈더라. 그러자 그들이 왕을 축복하였고, 주께서 그분의 종 다윗과 그분의 백성 이스라엘을 위해 행하신 모든 선하심으로 인하여 마음이 즐거움으로 충만하고 흡족해하며 그들의 천막들로 갔더라.

On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went unto their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.
