1 그리고 이코니움에서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그들이 모두 함께 유대인들의 회당 안으로 갔고 그와 같이 전하였으며 유대인들뿐만 아니라 헬라인들의 수많은 무리도 믿었더라.
1 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2 그러나 믿지 않는 유대인들은 이방인들을 충동질하였고 그들의 생각들로 하여금 형제들을 대적하여 악감정이 생기게 하였더라.
2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
3 그러므로 오랜 시간 그들이 거하면서 주 안에서 담대하게 전하였으니, 그분께서 그분의 은혜의 말씀에 간증을 주셨고 그들의 손에 의하여 표적들과 이적들이 행해지도록 승인하셨더라.
3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 그러나 그 도시의 무리가 나뉘어졌으며 일부분은 유대인들 편을 지지하고 일부분은 사도들의 편을 지지하였더라.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 그런데 이방인들에 속한 자들뿐만 아니라 유대인들에 속한 자들도 그들을 악의적으로 다루기 위하여, 또 그들을 돌로 쳐 죽이기 위하여 자신들의 치리자들과 함께 급습하였을 때,
5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
6 그들이 그것을 경계하여 루카오니아의 도시들인 루스트라와 더베와 주변에 있는 구역으로 도망하였더라.
6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7 그러자 거기에서 그들이 복음을 선포하였더라.
7 And there they preached the gospel.
8 ¶ 그리고 어떤 남자 한 명이 루스트라에 앉아 있었는데 그의 어머니의 태에서부터 다리가 불구였기에 그의 두 발이 허약했으며 결코 걸어 본 적이 없었더라.
8 ¶ And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9 바로 그자가 바울이 전하는 것을 들었고, 바울은 그를 확고히 바라보며 그가 치유받을 만한 믿음이 있음을 인지하고
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 큰 목소리로 말하기를, “너의 두 발로 똑바로 서라.” 하였더라. 이에 그가 껑충 뛰며 걸었더라.
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 그러자 백성이 바울이 행한 것을 목격하자 그들은 그들의 목소리를 높이며 루카오니아의 지방어로 말하기를, “신들이 사람들과 같은 모습으로 우리에게 내려왔도다.” 하였더라.
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
12 그리하여 그들이 바나바는 주피터로, 바울은 메르쿠리우스로 불렀으니, 그가 주로 말하는 사람이었기 때문이라.
12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 그때 주피터의 제사장, 곧 그들의 도시 앞에 있던 자가 성문들에 소들과 화환들을 가지고 와서 백성과 함께 희생 제물을 바치고자 하였더라.
13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 사도들, 곧 바나바와 바울이 그것에 관하여 듣자 그들은 자신들의 옷을 찢었고 백성 사이로 달려 들어가서 소리지르며
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 이같이 말하였더라. “선생님들이여, 어찌하여 당신들께서 이런 일들을 하시나이까? 우리 역시 당신들과 같은 성정들에 속하는 사람들이며 당신들께서 이 헛된 것들로부터 살아 계신 하나님께로 돌이키도록 선포하고 있나이다. 그분께서는 하늘과 땅과 바다와 그 안에 있는 모든 것들을 만드신 분이시니이다.
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 그분께서 지난 시대들에서는 모든 민족들이 그들 자신의 길들 가운데 살아가는 것을 용납하셨나이다.
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 그럼에도 불구하고 그분께서는 자신을 증거 없이 남겨 두지 아니하셨으니, 그분께서 선을 행하시고 우리에게 하늘로부터 비를 주시며 열매로 가득한 계절들을 주시어 우리의 마음을 양식과 흡족함으로 채우심으로써 그리하셨나이다.”
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 그리하여 이런 언급들로 겨우 그들이 백성을 제지하여 저들이 자신들에게 희생 제물을 바치지 아니하게 하였더라.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19 ¶ 그리고 어떤 유대인들이 안티오크와 이코니움에서 거기로 왔는데 그들이 백성을 설득하여 바울을 돌로 쳤으니, 그가 죽었다고 짐작하여 그를 도시 밖으로 끌어냈더라.
19 ¶ And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 하지만 제자들이 그의 주위에 서 있을 때 그가 다시 일어났고 그 도시 안으로 들어갔더라. 그리고 다음 날 그가 바나바와 함께 더베로 떠났더라.
20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 그리고 그들이 그 도시에 복음을 선포하고 많은 이들을 가르친 후에 그들은 다시 루스트라로 그리고 이코니움과 안티오크로 되돌아가면서
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 제자들의 혼들을 확고하게 하고 그들을 믿음 안에 계속 있도록 권면하며 우리가 반드시 많은 환란을 거쳐서 하나님의 왕국으로 들어가야만 한다고 하였더라.
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 그리하여 그들이 교회마다 제자들에게 장로들을 임명하였고 금식과 더불어 기도한 후에 그들은 제자들을 자신들이 믿는 주께 위탁하였더라.
23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
24 그리고 그들이 피시디아를 경유한 뒤에 그들은 팜필리아로 왔더라.
24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 그리고 그들이 페르가에서 말씀을 선포한 후에 그들은 앗탈리아로 내려갔더라.
25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 그리고 거기에서 안티오크로 항해하였으니, 그곳은 그들이 자신들이 성취한 그 일을 위하여 하나님의 은혜에 의탁받았던 곳이더라.
26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 그리고 그들이 와서 교회를 함께 모은 후에 그들은 하나님께서 그들과 함께 행하신 일과 그분께서 이방인들에게 믿음의 문을 여신 일 모두를 되풀이하여 말하였더라.
27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 그리고 거기에서 그들이 제자들과 오랜 시간을 거하였더라.
28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.
