1 너희는 우상들도, 새겨진 형상도 너희에게 만들지 말고, 너희에게 서 있는 형상을 세우지도 말며, 너희 지역에 돌로 된 어떤 형상을 건립하여 그것에다가 아래로 숙여 절하지도 말지니라. 이는 내가 주 너희 하나님이기 때문이라.

Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

2 ¶ 너희는 나의 안식일들을 지킬지니, 나의 성소를 경외하라. 나는 주로다.

¶ Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

3 ¶ 만일 너희가 나의 규례들 가운데 살아가고 나의 명령들을 지키며 그것들을 행한다면

¶ If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4 그때 내가 너희에게 제철에 비를 내리겠노라. 그리하면 그 지역은 그녀의 소산을 낼 것이요, 들판의 나무들은 그것들의 열매를 낼 것이라.

Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

5 그리하면 너희의 타작이 포도 수확기까지 이어질 것이요, 포도 수확기는 파종기까지 이어지리라. 그리하면 너희는 배가 부르도록 너희의 빵을 먹을 것이요, 너희의 지역 가운데서 안전히 거하리라.

And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

6 그리고 내가 그 지역 가운데 화평을 주겠노라. 그리하면 너희가 드러누울 것이요, 아무도 너희를 무섭게 하지 못하리라. 그리고 내가 악한 짐승들을 그 지역에서 제거할 것이요, 칼이 너희 지역을 관통하지 못하리라.

And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.

7 그리고 너희는 너희의 원수들을 추격할 것이요, 그들은 너희 앞에서 칼에 쓰러지리라.

And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8 그리하여 너희 중 다섯 명이 일백 명을 추격하고 너희 중 일백 명이 일만 명을 도피하게 만들리라. 그리고 너희의 원수들은 너희 앞에서 칼에 쓰러지리라.

And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9 이는 내가 너희를 존중할 것이요, 너희를 다산하게 할 것이요, 너희를 번성하게 할 것이요, 나의 언약을 너희와 함께 확립할 것이기 때문이라.

For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10 그런즉 너희는 묵은 저장물을 먹다가, 새것으로 인하여 묵은 것을 배출하게 되리라.

And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new.

11 그리고 내가 나의 성막을 너희 가운데 세우겠노라. 그리고 나의 혼이 너희를 혐오하지 않으리라.

And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.

12 그리고 나는 너희 사이를 거닐며 너희의 하나님이 되겠으니, 너희는 나의 백성이 되리라.

And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

13 나는 너희가 이집트인들의 노예들이 되지 않게 하려고 너희를 이집트 지역에서 데리고 나온 주 너희 하나님이라. 그리하여 너희가 멍에로 묶인 것들을 내가 부수었고 너희를 올바로 가게 하였느니라.

I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

14 ¶ 그러나 만일 너희가 나에게 경청하려 하지 않고 이 모든 명령들을 행하려 하지 않는다면,

¶ But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

15 또 만일 너희가 나의 규례들을 멸시하거나 너희의 혼이 나의 공의로운 법규들을 혐오한다면, 그래서 너희가 나의 모든 명령들을 행하려 하지 아니하고 오히려 너희가 나의 언약을 파기한다면,

And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:

16 나 역시 너희에게 이것을 행하겠노라. 내가 심지어 너희 위에 공포와 폐병과 심한 학질을 지정하여 눈을 쇠잔하게 하고 마음의 슬픔을 일으키리라. 그리고 너희는 너희의 씨를 헛되이 뿌리리니, 너희의 원수들이 그것을 먹을 것이기 때문이라.

I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 그리고 내가 너희를 대적하여 나의 얼굴을 두겠으니, 너희는 너희의 원수들 앞에서 살해되리라. 너희를 증오하는 자들이 너희 위에 군림하리라. 그리하면 너희를 뒤쫓아가는 자가 아무도 없을 때도 너희가 도망하리라.

And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

18 그런데 만일 너희가 이 모든 것에도 여전히 나에게 경청하려 하지 않는다면 그때 나는 너희의 죄들로 인하여 너희를 일곱 배로 처벌하리라.

And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

19 그리하여 내가 너희의 권능의 교만을 꺾겠노라. 그리고 내가 너희의 하늘을 철과 같이, 너희의 땅을 놋과 같이 만들겠노라.

And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:

20 그리하면 너희의 힘이 헛되이 소모되리라. 이는 너희의 지역이 그녀의 소산을 내지 않을 것이요, 그 지역의 나무들도 그들의 열매들을 내지 않을 것이기 때문이라.

And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

21 ¶ 그러고 나서 만일 너희가 나를 반대하여 살아가고 나에게 경청하려 하지 않는다면, 내가 너희의 죄들에 따라 너희 위에 일곱 배나 더한 재앙들을 가져오겠노라.

¶ And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

22 내가 너희 가운데로 야생 짐승들도 보내겠으니, 그것들이 너희의 자녀들을 너희에게서 강탈하고 너희의 가축들을 멸하며 너희의 수를 적게 만들 것이라. 그리하면 너희의 대로들은 황량해지리라.

I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be desolate.

23 그러고 나서 만일 너희가 나에게서 비롯된 이런 일들로도 개혁되지 않고 오히려 나를 반대하여 살아간다면,

And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me;

24 그때는 나 역시 너희를 반대하여 행하겠으며 너희 죄들로 인하여 너희를 일곱 배나 더 처벌하리라.

Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

25 그런 다음에 내가 칼을 너희 위에 가져오겠으니, 나의 언약에 대한 언쟁을 복수하게 하려 함이라. 그리고 너희가 너희의 도시들 안에 함께 모일 때면 내가 너희 가운데 역병을 보내겠노라. 그리고 너희는 원수의 손안에 넘겨지리라.

And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 그리고 내가 너희 빵의 버팀대를 부러뜨릴 때 열 명의 여자가 너희의 빵을 하나의 화덕 안에 구울 것이요, 그들이 무게를 재서 너희의 빵을 다시 너희에게 넘겨주리라. 그런 다음에 너희가 먹을 것이나 만족하지 못하리라.

And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27 그러고 나서 만일 너희가 이 모든 것으로도 나에게 경청하려 하지 않으며 오히려 나를 반대하여 살아간다면,

And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

28 그때는 내가 노여움 가운데 너희를 반대하여 행하겠으니, 너희의 죄들로 인하여 나, 바로 내가 너희를 일곱 배로 징계하겠노라.

Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29 그리하면 너희는 너희의 아들들의 살을 먹을 것이요, 너희가 너희의 딸들의 살을 먹으리라.

And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

30 그리고 내가 너희의 높은 처소들을 멸망시키고 너희의 형상들을 절단하여 쓰러뜨리며 너희의 사체들을 너희의 우상들의 사체들 위에 던지겠노라. 그런즉 나의 혼이 너희를 혐오하리라.

And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you.

31 그리고 내가 너희 도시들을 불모지로 만들고 너희의 성소들을 황량하게 하겠으니, 나는 너희의 감미로운 향품들의 향기를 맡지 않겠노라.

And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

32 그리고 내가 그 지역에 황량함을 가져오겠노라. 그런즉 그 안에 거하는 너희의 원수들이 그것에 경악하리라.

And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.

33 그리고 내가 너희를 이교도들 가운데로 흩겠고, 칼을 빼내어 너희를 쫓겠노라. 그리하면 너희의 지역이 황량해지고 너희의 도시들이 불모지가 되리라.

And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

34 그때 그곳이 황량함에 놓이고 너희가 너희의 원수들의 지역 가운데 있는 기간만큼 그 지역은 그녀의 안식의 때들을 즐기리라. 바로 그때 그 지역이 안식하고 그녀의 안식하는 기간들을 즐기리라.

Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.

35 그곳이 황량함에 놓이는 기간만큼 그곳이 안식하리라. 이는 너희가 그 위에 거하였을 때 너희의 안식하는 기간들 가운데서 그곳이 안식하지 못한 까닭이라.

As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

36 그리고 너희 중에 살아서 남겨진 자들에게는 내가 그들의 원수들의 지역들 가운데서 그들의 마음속에 공황을 보내겠노라. 그리하면 흔들리는 이파리 소리가 그들을 추격할 것이요, 칼을 피해 도망치듯 그들이 도망하리라. 그리하여 그들은 뒤쫓아가는 자가 아무도 없을 때 쓰러지리라.

And upon them that are left alive of you I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a shaken leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as fleeing from a sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

37 그리고 뒤쫓아가는 자가 아무도 없을 때 그들이 칼 앞에 있는 것같이 서로 쓰러지리라. 또 너희는 너희의 원수들 앞에 설 기력이 없으리라.

And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

38 그리고 너희는 이교도들 사이에서 멸망하리니, 너희 원수들의 지역이 너희를 먹어 치우리라.

And ye shall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

39 그리고 너희 중 남겨진 자들은 너희 원수들의 지역들 가운데서 자신들의 죄악 가운데 수척해질 것이요, 또한 그들 조상들의 죄악들 가운데 그들이 그들과 더불어 수척해지리라.

And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.

40 만일 그들이 자신들의 죄악과 자신들의 조상들의 죄악을 시인하되 자신들이 나를 대적하여 범법한 자신들의 범법과 함께 시인하며, 또한 그들이 나를 반대하여 살아갔었다고 시인하고,

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;

41 또한 내가 그들을 반대하여 행하여서 그들의 대적들의 지역으로 그들을 데려갔다고 시인한다면, 그리고 만일 그때 그들의 할례받지 않은 마음이 겸손해지고 그들이 그제야 자신들의 죄악의 형벌을 기꺼이 받아들인다면,

And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:

42 그때는 내가 야곱과 맺은 나의 언약을 기억하겠으며, 이삭과 맺은 나의 언약도 기억하겠고, 아브라함과 맺은 나의 언약도 내가 기억하겠노라. 그런즉 내가 그 지역을 기억하겠노라.

Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

43 그 지역도 그들에게서 남겨질 것이요, 그녀가 그들 없이 황량한 동안 그녀의 안식하는 기간들을 즐기리라. 그런즉 그들은 자신들의 죄악의 형벌을 기꺼이 받아들이리라. 그 형벌은 그들이 나의 공의로운 법규들을 멸시하였기 때문이니, 바로 그 때문이요, 그들의 혼이 나의 규례들을 혐오한 까닭이라.

The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.

44 그런즉 그 모든 일에도 불구하고 그들이 자신들의 원수들의 지역 가운데 있을 때 나는 그들을 쫓아내지 아니하겠으며, 내가 그들을 혐오하지도 아니하고 그들을 철저히 멸하지도 아니하며 그들과 맺은 나의 언약을 파기하지도 아니하겠노라. 이는 내가 주 그들의 하나님이기 때문이라.

And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God.

45 그러나 이교도들의 목전에서 내가 이집트 지역에서 데리고 나온 그들의 선조들과 맺은 언약을 내가 그들로 인하여 기억하겠으니, 내가 그들의 하나님이 되고자 함이라. 나는 주로다.’”

But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.

46 이것들이 그 규례들과 공의로운 법규들과 율법들이니, 주께서 시나이산 속에서 모세의 손을 통하여 그분과 이스라엘 자녀들 사이에서 제정하신 것들이라.

These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
