갈라디아서 1장

1 (사람들로부터도 아니고, 사람에 의해서도 아니며, 오직 예수 그리스도와 그분을 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 하나님 아버지에 의하여) 사도 된 바울과

1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

2 나와 함께하는 모든 형제들은 갈라디아의 교회들에게 편지하노라.

2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3 하나님 아버지와 우리 주 예수 그리스도로부터 은혜와 평안이 너희에게 있기를 기원하노라.

3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 그분께서는 우리의 죄들로 인하여 자신을 주셨으니, 하나님, 곧 우리 아버지의 뜻에 따라 우리를 이 악한 현 세상에서 구해 내려 하심이라.

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

5 그분께 영원무궁토록 영광이 있기를 바라노라. 아멘.

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 너희가 그리스도의 은혜 안으로 너희를 부르신 분으로부터 이처럼 빨리 떠나 다른 복음으로 옮겨가게 된 것을 내가 이상하게 여기노라.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 그것은 또 다른 복음이 아니요, 다만 너희를 교란하고 그리스도의 복음을 왜곡하려는 어떤 이들이 있는 것이라.

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 그러나 우리나 하늘에서 온 천사라 할지라도 우리가 너희에게 선포해 온 것 외에 어떤 다른 복음을 너희에게 선포한다면 그는 저주를 받을지어다.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 우리가 전에 말했던 것같이 이처럼 내가 지금도 다시 말하노니, 누구든 너희가 받아들여 온 것 외에 어떤 다른 복음을 너희에게 선포한다면 그는 저주를 받을지어다.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 그러므로 내가 지금 사람들을 설득하는 것이냐? 아니면 하나님을 설득하는 것이냐? 아니면 내가 사람들을 기쁘게 하려고 애를 쓰는 것이냐? 이는 내가 아직도 사람들을 기쁘게 한다면 나는 그리스도의 종이라 불려서는 안 되기 때문이라.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 그러나 형제들아, 내가 너희에게 확언하노니, 나에게서 선포된 복음은 사람을 따른 것이 아니니라.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 이는 내가 그것을 사람으로부터 받지도 아니하였고 내가 그것을 사람으로부터 배우지도 아니하였기 때문이라. 오직 그것은 예수 그리스도의 계시를 통하여 받은 것이라.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 이는 유대교 안에 있었을 때에 과거의 나의 생활 방식에 관하여 너희가 들어 왔기 때문이니, 곧 내가 하나님의 교회를 심히 박해하였고 그것을 황폐하게 하였으며

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 나의 조상들의 전통들에 관하여 더욱 지극히 열성적이어서 내 동족 중 나의 많은 동류들보다 유대교에서 앞섰던 것이라.

14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 그러나 나의 어머니의 태에서부터 나를 구별하셨고, 그분의 은혜로 인하여 나를 부르셨던 하나님께서

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 내가 그분을 이방 민족들 가운데 선포하도록 하시고자 그분의 아들을 내 안에 계시하는 것을 기뻐하셨을 때, 내가 살과 피와 더불어 즉시 논의하지 아니하였노라.

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 또 나보다 앞서 사도들이 되었던 자들을 향해 예루살렘으로 올라가지도 아니하였으며 다만 내가 아라비아로 들어갔다가 다마스쿠스로 다시 되돌아왔노라.

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

18 그 후 삼 년이 지나 베드로를 보려고 내가 예루살렘으로 올라갔고 그와 함께 십오 일을 지냈노라.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

19 그러나 내가 주의 형제인 야고보 외에 다른 사도들은 보지 아니하였노라.

19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.

20 보라, 이제 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것들은 하나님 앞에서 쓰는 것이니, 나는 거짓말하는 것이 아니니라.

20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

21 이후에 내가 시리아와 실리시아 구역들로 들어갔느니라.

21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

22 그리고 그리스도 안에 있던 유대의 교회들에게 얼굴로는 알려지지 아니하였지만

22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

23 지나간 때들에 우리를 핍박하였던 자가 한때 자신이 파괴하던 그 믿음을 이제 선포한다는 말을 그들이 들었을 뿐이더라.

23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

24 그리하여 내 안에 계신 하나님께 그들이 영광을 돌렸느니라.

24 And they glorified God in me.
