사도행전 1장

1 오, 테오필루스여, 예수님께서 행하시며 가르치기 시작하신 모든 일에 대하여 내가 앞서 작성한 논고는

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 그분께서 친히 선택하신 사도들에게 성령님을 통하여 명령들을 주신 후 그분께서 위로 들려 가신 날까지 다루었노라.

2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 그분께서는 또한 자기 십자가의 수난 이후에 자신이 살아 있음을 그들에게 다수의 무오한 입증들을 통하여 보이셨더라. 그분께서는 그들에게 사십 일간 보이셨고, 하나님의 왕국과 관계되는 것들을 말씀하셨으며,

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 그들과 함께 회동하셨고, 그들이 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고 오직 아버지의 약속을 기다려야 한다고 그들에게 명령하셨더라. 그분께서 이같이 말씀하시니라. “그 약속은 너희가 나에게서 들은 것이라.

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 이는 참으로 요한이 물로 침례를 주었으나 너희는 향후 많은 날들이 지나지 않아 성령으로 침례를 받을 것이기 때문이라.”

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 그러므로 그들이 함께 모였을 때 그들이 그분께 여쭈며 말씀드리기를, “주여, 당신께서는 이때에 다시금 이스라엘에 그 왕국을 재건하시겠나이까?” 하였더라.

6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

7 이에 그분께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그 때들과 그 시기들은 너희가 알 것이 아니요, 아버지께서 그분 자신의 권능 안에 두셨느니라.

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

8 그러나 성령께서 너희에게 임하신 후에는 너희가 권능을 받으리라. 그리하면 너희가 예루살렘에서와 온 유대에서와 사마리아에서와 땅의 맨 끝부분에까지 모두 이르러 나에게 증인들이 되리라.”

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

9 그리고 그분께서 이런 것들을 말씀하신 후에 그들이 보는 동안 그분께서 들려 올라가셨더라. 그러고 나서 구름이 그분을 영접하였으니, 그들의 시야에서 그분이 사라지셨더라.

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 그리하여 그분께서 올라가시는 동안 그들이 하늘 쪽을 확고히 바라보고 있었는데, 보라, 흰옷 복장을 한 남자 둘이 그들 곁에 섰더라.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 그들이 또한 말하기를, “너희, 갈릴리 사람들아, 어찌하여 너희는 서서 하늘 속을 올려다보며 응시하느냐? 이 동일한 예수님께서는 너희를 떠나 하늘 속으로 들려 올라가신 분이시니, 너희가 그분께서 하늘 속으로 가심을 본 것과 같은 방식 그대로 그렇게 오시리라.” 하였더라.

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 그때 그들이 올리벳이라 불리는 산에서 예루살렘으로 되돌아왔는데, 그 산은 예루살렘에서 안식일 여행 권역이었더라.

12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

13 그리고 그들이 들어왔을 때 그들이 다락방으로 올라갔는데 거기에서 베드로와 야고보와 요한과 안드레와 빌립과 도마와 바돌로매와 마태와 알패오의 아들 야고보와 셀롯 시몬과 야고보의 형제 유-다가 모두 거하였더라.

13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 이들 모두가 한뜻이 되어 기도와 간구를 지속하였으니, 여자들과 예수님의 어머니 마리아가 함께하였고 그분의 형제들이 함께하였더라.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 ¶ 그리고 그 당시에 베드로가 제자들 한가운데서 일어나 이같이 말하였더라. (함께한 자들의 이름들의 수가 약 일백이십이었더라.)

15 ¶ And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

16 “남자 형제들아, 이 성경 기록이 반드시 성취될 필요가 있었나니, 곧 예수님을 잡아간 자들에게 길잡이가 된 유-다에 관하여 성령님께서 미리 다윗의 입을 통하여 말씀하신 것이라.

16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

17 이는 그가 우리와 함께 계수되었고 이 사역의 일부분을 획득했었기 때문이라.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

18 이제 이 사람은 죄악의 보수를 가지고 밭을 구매하였느니라. 그런 다음에 그가 머리부터 떨어져 중심부가 갈라져 터졌고 그의 모든 창자가 쏟아져 나왔도다.

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 그리고 그것이 예루살렘의 모든 거주민들에게 알려졌더라. 그 밭이 그들의 고유어로 ‘아켈다마’라고 불릴 정도이니, 즉 말하자면 ‘피의 밭’이라는 뜻이라.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

20 이는 시편들의 책 안에 기록되기를, ‘그의 거처를 황량하게 하시고, 아무도 그 안에 거하지 못하게 하소서. 그리고 그의 감독직을 다른 이가 취하게 하소서.’ 하였기 때문이라.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

21 이러한 이유로 주 예수께서 우리 가운데로 오셨다가 가신 모든 시간 동안 우리와 함께 다녔던 이 사람들 중에서

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 한 명이 그분의 부활의 증인으로 우리와 함께 임명되어야만 하나니, 곧, 요한의 침례부터 시작하여 그분께서 우리를 떠나 위로 들려 가신 당일까지 우리와 함께 다닌 자라야 하느니라.”

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 그런즉 그들이 둘을 지정하였으니, 유스투스란 이명으로 불리며, 바르사바스라고도 불리는 요셉과 맛디아스였더라.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 그런즉 그들이 기도하였으며 이같이 말하였더라. “주여, 당신께서는 모든 사람들의 마음을 아시는 분이시니, 이들 두 명 중 당신께서 누구를 선택하셨는지 보여 주시어

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 그로 하여금 이 사역과 사도직의 몫을 맡도록 하소서. 유-다는 불법으로 인하여 이 사도직에서 떨어졌으니, 그가 자기 자신의 처소로 가고자 함이었나이다.”

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 그런 다음에 그들이 그들의 제비들의 결과를 공표하였으니, 그 제비가 맛디아스에게 떨어졌더라. 그리하여 그가 열한 명의 사도들과 함께 계수되었더라.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
