호세아 1장

1 유다의 왕들인 웃지야와 요담과 아하즈와 히스키야의 날들이요, 이스라엘 왕 요아시의 아들 여로보암의 날들에 브에리의 아들 호세아에게 임한 주의 말씀이라.

1 The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

2 호세아를 통한 주의 말씀의 시작이라. 그리고 주께서 호세아에게 말씀하시기를, “너는 가서 행음들에 속한 한 아내를 취하여 행음들에 속한 자식들을 얻으라. 이는 그 지역이 주를 떠남으로써 크나큰 행음을 저질렀기 때문이라.” 하셨느니라.

2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.

3 그렇기에 그가 가서 디블라임의 딸 고멜을 취하였더니, 고멜이 임신하여 그에게 한 아들을 낳아 주었더라.

3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

4 그러자 주께서 그에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그의 이름을 이즈르엘이라 부르라. 이는 앞으로 잠깐 있으면 이후에 내가 이즈르엘의 피의 복수를 예후의 집 위에 갚을 것이요, 또 이스라엘 집의 왕국을 중단시킬 것이기 때문이라.

4 And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

5 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 내가 이즈르엘 골짜기 가운데서 이스라엘의 활을 꺾겠노라.”

5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

6 ¶ 이후에 그녀가 다시 임신하여 한 딸을 낳았더라. 그러자 하나님께서 그에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그녀의 이름을 로루하마라 부르라. 이는 내가 더 이상 이스라엘 집 위에 자비를 베풀지 아니할 것이기 때문이라. 오히려 내가 그들을 철저하게 제거하겠노라.

6 ¶ And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.

7 그러나 내가 유다 집 위에는 자비를 베풀겠으며 주 그들의 하나님을 통하여 그들을 구원하겠으니, 활이나 칼이나 전투나 말들이나 기병들로는 그들을 구원하지 아니하겠노라.”

7 But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

8 ¶ 이제 그녀가 로루하마를 젖을 떼었을 때, 그녀는 임신하여 한 아들을 낳았더라.

8 ¶ Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

9 그때 하나님께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그의 이름을 로암미라 부르라. 이는 너희가 나의 백성이 아니요, 나는 너희의 하나님이 되지 아니할 것이기 때문이라.

9 Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

10 ¶ 그럼에도 이스라엘 자녀들의 수는 바다의 모래같이 되리니, 그것은 측량될 수도, 계수될 수도 없느니라. 그리고 이러한 일이 있으리니, 이 같은 말이 그들에게 주어져서 ‘너희는 나의 백성이 아니니라.’ 하였던 그곳에서 ‘너희는 살아 계신 하나님의 아들들이라.’ 하는 말이 그들에게 주어지리라.

10 ¶ Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

11 그때 유다 자녀들과 이스라엘 자녀들이 함께 모여서 스스로 한 수장을 정할 것이요, 그들은 그 지역에서 올라오리라. 이는 이즈르엘의 날이 엄청날 것이기 때문이라.

11 Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
