호세아 2장

1 너희는 너희 형제들에게 ‘암미’라고 말하라. 그리고 너희 자매들에게는 ‘루하마’라고 말하라.

1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.

2 너희 어머니와 변론하고 변론하라. 그녀는 나의 아내가 아니요, 나도 그녀의 남편이 아니기 때문이라. 그러므로 그녀가 자신의 목전에서 자신의 행음들을 치워 버리게 하고 자신의 가슴 사이에서 자신의 간음들을 치워 버리게 하라.

2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;

3 내가 그녀를 알몸으로 벌거벗기지 않도록, 그녀가 태어나던 날같이 그녀를 놔두지 않도록, 그녀를 광야같이 만들지 않도록, 그녀를 메마른 토지처럼 두지 않도록, 목마름으로 그녀를 살해하지 않도록 그리하라.

3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.

4 그리고 나는 그녀의 자녀들에게 자비를 베풀지 아니하겠노라. 이는 그들이 행음들에서 나온 자녀들이기 때문이라.

4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.

5 이는 그들의 어머니가 창녀 짓을 하였기 때문이라. 그들을 임신한 그녀가 수치스럽게 행하였도다. 이는 그녀가 말하기를, ‘내가 나의 애인들을 따라가겠으니, 그들은 내게 나의 빵과 나의 물과 나의 양털과 나의 아마풀과 나의 기름과 나의 음료를 주는도다.’ 하였기 때문이라.

5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.

6 ¶ 그러므로 보라, 내가 가시나무들로 너의 길에 울타리를 두르고 성벽을 만들어서 그녀가 그녀의 행로들을 발견하지 못하게 하겠노라.

6 ¶ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

7 그리하면 그녀가 자신의 애인들을 뒤따라갈 것이나 그녀는 그들을 따라잡지 못하리라. 그리고 그녀가 그들을 찾아 나설 것이나 그들을 발견하지는 못하리라. 그제야 그녀는 말하기를, ‘내가 가서 나의 첫 남편에게 되돌아가겠노라. 이는 나에게 그때가 지금보다 나았기 때문이라.’ 하리라.

7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.

8 이는 내가 그녀에게 곡식과 포도즙과 기름을 주었고 그들이 바알을 위하여 예비한 그녀의 은과 금을 늘어나게 해주었다는 것을 그녀가 몰랐기 때문이라.

8 For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.

9 그러므로 내가 다시 돌이켜서 나의 곡식을 그것의 때에 제거할 것이요, 나의 포도즙을 그것의 시기에 제거할 것이며, 그녀의 벌거벗음을 가리기 위하여 준 나의 양털과 나의 아마풀을 회수하겠노라.

9 Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

10 그리고 이제 내가 그녀의 음란함을 그녀의 애인들의 목전에서 드러내겠으니, 나의 손에서 그녀를 구출할 자가 아무도 없으리라.

10 And now will I discover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of mine hand.

11 나는 또한 그녀의 모든 즐거운 소리와 그녀의 명절날들과 그녀의 새 달들과 그녀의 안식일들과 그녀의 모든 엄숙한 명절들을 그치게 하겠노라.

11 I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.

12 그리고 나는 그녀의 포도나무들과 그녀의 무화과나무들을 멸하겠으니, 그녀가 그것들에 관하여 말하기를, ‘이것들은 나의 애인들이 나에게 준 나의 보상들이라.’ 하였도다. 그런즉 내가 그것들을 숲으로 만들겠으니, 들짐승들이 그것들을 먹으리라.

12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

13 그리고 나는 바알들에 속한 그녀의 날들을 벌하겠으니, 그날들에 그녀는 그것들에게 향을 태웠고 그녀는 그녀의 귀고리들과 그녀의 장신구들로 자신을 꾸몄으며 그녀는 자신의 애인들을 따라가서 나를 잊어버렸도다. 주가 말하노라.

13 And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.

14 ¶ 그러므로 보라, 내가 그녀를 꾀어내겠고, 그녀를 광야로 데려가 그녀에게 위로하며 말하겠노라.

14 ¶ Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her.

15 그런 다음에 내가 거기서부터 그녀의 포도원들을 그녀에게 주고 아콜 골짜기를 소망의 문으로 주겠노라. 그리하면 그녀는 거기서 노래하리니, 마치 그녀의 어린 시절의 날들처럼, 그녀가 이집트 지역에서 올라오던 날들처럼 노래하리라.

15 And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

16 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있으리니 주가 말하노라. 곧, 그날에 너는 나를 ‘이시’라고 부르며 다시는 ‘바알리’라고 부르지 아니하리라.

16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali.

17 이는 내가 그녀의 입에서 바알들의 이름들을 제거할 것이요, 더 이상 그들이 그것들의 이름으로 기억되지 아니할 것이기 때문이라.

17 For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name.

18 그리고 그날에는 내가 그들을 위하여 들의 짐승들과 하늘의 날짐승들과 지면의 기어다니는 것들과 언약을 맺겠노라. 그리고 내가 활과 칼을 꺾고 땅에서 전투를 끝내겠으니, 그들을 안전하게 드러눕도록 하겠노라.

18 And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

19 그리하여 내가 영원토록 너를 나에게로 정혼시키겠노라. 진정 내가 의와 공의와 인애와 자비들로 너를 나에게 정혼시키겠노라.

19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.

20 실로 내가 신실함으로 너를 나에게 정혼시키겠노라. 그리하면 너는 주를 알게 되리라.

20 I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

21 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 내가 듣겠노라. 주가 말하노라. 내가 하늘들의 말을 들을 것이요, 그것들은 땅의 말을 들을 것이요,

21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the LORD, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;

22 땅은 곡식과 포도즙과 기름의 말을 들을 것이요, 그것들은 이즈르엘의 말을 들으리라.

22 And the earth shall hear the corn, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.

23 그리고 내가 땅에서 그녀를 나에게 뿌려 두겠노라. 그리하여 내가 자비를 얻어 내지 못했던 그녀 위에 자비를 베풀겠노라. 그리고 내가 나의 백성이 아니었던 자들에게 말하기를, ‘너는 나의 백성이라’ 하리라. 그리하면 그들은 말하기를, ‘당신께서는 나의 하나님이시니이다.’ 하리라.”

23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
