호세아 5장

1 오, 제사장들아, 너희는 이것을 들으라. 그리고 너희, 이스라엘 집아, 경청하라. 그리고 오, 왕의 집아, 너희는 귀담아들으라. 이는 심판이 너희를 향해 있기 때문이요, 너희가 미즈파 위에 한 올무가 되었고 타볼 위에 펼치는 한 그물이 된 까닭이라.

1 Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

2 그리하여 내가 반란자들 모두에게 꾸짖는 자가 되었음에도 그들은 살육을 벌이는 데에 심취해 있도다.

2 And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.

3 내가 에프라임을 아나니, 이스라엘은 나에게서 숨겨지지 아니하느니라. 오, 에프라임아, 이는 지금 네가 행음을 저지르고 이스라엘은 더럽혀졌기 때문이라.

3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

4 그들은 자신들의 처신들의 기틀을 잡아 그들의 하나님께 돌이키려고 하지 아니하리라. 이는 행음들의 영이 그들 한가운데 있어 그들이 주를 알지 아니하였기 때문이라.

4 They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

5 그리고 이스라엘의 교만이 자기 얼굴을 향하여 증언하는도다. 그러므로 이스라엘과 에프라임이 자신들의 죄악 가운데서 쓰러질 것이요, 유다도 그들과 함께 쓰러지리라.

5 And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.

6 그들이 자신들의 양 떼들과 자신들의 소 떼들을 끌고 가서 주를 찾으리라. 그러나 그들은 주를 발견하지 못하리니, 주가 그들에게서 스스로 빠져나왔음이라.

6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

7 그들이 주를 대적하여 배신하였도다. 이는 그들이 타국인의 자녀들을 낳았기 때문이라. 이제 한 달이 그들의 몫들과 더불어 그들을 집어삼키리라.

7 They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

8 너희는 기브아에서 뿔 나팔을 불고 라마흐에서 나팔을 불라. 벧아웬에서 크게 외치기를, “오, 베냐민아, 너를 뒤쫓는도다.” 하라.

8 Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Bethaven, after thee, O Benjamin.

9 에프라임은 꾸짖음의 날에 황량해지리라. 나는 이스라엘 지파들 가운데서 반드시 있을 일을 알렸도다.

9 Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

10 유다의 통치자들은 한계선을 옮기는 자들과 같았도다. 그러므로 내가 나의 진노를 그들 위에 물처럼 쏟아 버리겠노라.

10 The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

11 에프라임은 압제를 당하고 심판으로 파탄 났도다. 이는 그가 기꺼이 압제자의 명령을 따라 살아갔기 때문이라.

11 Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

12 그러므로 내가 에프라임에게는 좀나방같이 되고 유다 집에게는 썩어 문드러진 것같이 되리라.

12 Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

13 에프라임이 자신의 병을 보고 유다가 자신의 상처를 보았던 그때 에프라임은 아시리아인에게 가고 야렙왕에게 사람을 보냈도다. 그럼에도 그는 너희를 치유할 수 없었으며, 너희에게서 너희의 상처를 치료해 주지도 못하였도다.

13 When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

14 이는 내가 에프라임에게는 사자같이 되고 유다 집에게는 젊은 사자같이 될 것이기 때문이라. 나, 바로 내가 찢고 떠나가겠노라. 내가 앗아 가겠으니, 아무도 그를 구조하지 못하리라.

14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

15 ¶ 그들이 자신들의 범죄를 인정하고 나의 얼굴을 구할 때까지 나는 가서 나의 처소로 돌아가겠노라. 그들은 자신들의 고난 가운데서 나를 일찍 찾으리라.

15 ¶ I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
