호세아 14장

1 오, 이스라엘아, 주 너의 하나님께 되돌아오라. 이는 네가 너의 죄악에 의하여 쓰러졌기 때문이라.

1 O Israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

2 너희는 말씀들을 가지고 주께로 돌이키라. 그분께 이같이 말씀드리라. “모든 죄악을 제거하시고 저희를 은혜롭게 받아 주소서. 그리하시면 저희는 저희 입술의 송아지들로 돌려드리겠나이다.

2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

3 앗슈르는 저희를 구원하지 못하리이다. 저희는 말들을 타지 아니하겠나이다. 또한 저희는 더 이상 저희 손의 작업물들에게 ‘너희는 우리의 신들이로다.’라고 말하지 아니하겠나이다. 이는 아버지 없는 자들이 당신 안에서 자비를 발견하기 때문이니이다.”

3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.

4 ¶ 내가 그들의 타락을 치유하겠노라. 내가 그들을 자유롭게 사랑하겠노라. 이는 나의 분노가 그에게서 떠나 버렸기 때문이라.

4 ¶ I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

5 내가 이스라엘에게 이슬같이 되겠노라. 그는 백합같이 자랄 것이요, 레바논같이 그의 뿌리들을 뻗어 나가리라.

5 I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

6 그의 가지들은 퍼질 것이요, 그의 아름다움은 올리브나무 같을 것이요, 그의 향은 레바논 같으리라.

6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon.

7 그의 그늘 아래 거하는 자들이 되돌아오리라. 그들은 곡식같이 부흥할 것이요, 포도나무같이 자라리라. 그것의 향취는 레바논의 포도즙같이 되리라.

7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

8 에프라임이 말하기를, “내가 더 이상 우상들과 무슨 상관이 있겠느냐?” 하리라. 내가 그의 말을 들었고 그를 눈여겨보았도다. 나는 푸른 전나무 같도다. 나로부터 너의 열매가 발견되는도다.

8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.

9 누가 지혜롭기에 그가 이런 일들을 이해하겠느냐? 누가 신중하기에 그가 그것들을 알겠느냐? 이는 주의 길들이 올바르고 의인들은 그 길들 가운데서 살아갈 것이기 때문이라. 그러나 불법을 행하는 자들은 그 길들 가운데서 쓰러지리라.

9 Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein.
