에스겔서 1장

1 이제 제삼십년 넷째 달, 그달 오 일에 내가 크발강 가에서 포로들 사이에 있었을 때 이러한 일이 있었으니, 하늘들이 열렸고, 나는 하나님의 현시들을 목격하였더라.

1 Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

2 여호야킨왕의 포로기의 제오년이 되었던 해, 그달 오 일에

2 In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,

3 칼데아인들의 지역에 있는 크발강 가에서 주의 말씀이 부지의 아들 제사장 에스겔에게 뚜렷하게 임하였더라. 그리하여 거기서 주의 손이 그의 위에 있었더라.

3 The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

4 ¶ 그런데 내가 바라보았더니, 보라, 북쪽에서 회오리바람이 나오고 거대한 구름과 스스로를 감싸는 불이 나왔는데, 광채가 그것의 주위에 있었으니, 호박의 황색 같은 그것의 중심부, 곧 그 불의 한복판에서 나왔더라.

4 ¶ And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

5 또한 그것의 한가운데에서 살아 있는 네 창조물들 같은 모습이 나왔더라. 그리고 그들의 모양이 이러하였으니, 그들은 사람과 같은 모습을 가졌더라.

5 Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.

6 그리고 모두 저마다 네 개의 얼굴들을 가졌고, 모두 저마다 네 개의 날개들을 가졌더라.

6 And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.

7 그리고 그들의 발들은 곧은 발들이었고, 그들의 발바닥은 송아지의 발바닥 같고, 그들은 광택이 나는 놋색처럼 번쩍였더라.

7 And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.

8 그리고 그들의 네 측면들에 달린 그들의 날개들 아래에 사람의 손들이 있었더라. 그리고 그들 넷은 자신들의 얼굴들과 자신들의 날개들을 가졌더라.

8 And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

9 그들의 날개들은 서로 이어졌더라. 그들이 갈 때면 그들은 돌지 아니하였으니, 그들이 각자 앞으로 곧게 갔더라.

9 Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

10 그들의 얼굴들의 생김새를 말하자면, 그들 넷은 사람의 얼굴을 하였는데, 오른쪽에 사자의 얼굴을 가졌더라. 그리고 그들 넷은 왼쪽에 소의 얼굴을 가졌더라. 그들 넷은 독수리의 얼굴도 가졌더라.

10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

11 그들의 얼굴들이 이와 같았더라. 그리고 그들의 날개들은 위쪽으로 뻗어졌더라. 모든 이마다 두 날개들이 서로 이어져 있었고 두 날개들은 그들의 몸체들을 덮었더라.

11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

12 그리고 그들은 모두 저마다 앞으로 곧게 갔더라. 그들은 그 영이 가고자 하는 곳으로 갔더라. 그리고 그들이 갈 때면 그들은 돌이키지 아니하였더라.

12 And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

13 살아 있는 창조물들 같은 모습에 대해 말하자면, 그들의 모양은 타는 숯불들과 같고, 등불들의 모양과 같더라. 그것은 그 살아 있는 창조물들 사이에서 오르락내리락하였더라. 그리고 그 불은 밝았으니, 그 불에서 번개가 나갔더라.

13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

14 그러자 그 살아 있는 창조물들은 마치 번개의 섬광이 나타나는 것같이 달려갔다가 되돌아왔더라.

14 And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.

15 ¶ 이제 내가 그 살아 있는 창조물들을 보았을 때, 그 살아 있는 창조물들 옆에서, 그의 네 얼굴들과 함께 땅 위에 있는 한 개의 바퀴를 보니라.

15 ¶ Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

16 그 바퀴들의 모양과 그들의 장치는 녹주석의 색깔 같았고, 그들은 넷이 하나의 같은 모습을 지녔더라. 그리고 그들의 모양과 그들의 장치는 마치 바퀴 중심부에 바퀴가 있는 것 같았더라.

16 The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

17 그들이 갈 때면, 그들은 그들의 네 측면들 위에서 갔더라. 그리고 그들이 갈 때면 그들은 돌지 않았더라.

17 When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went.

18 그들의 둥근 테들로 말하자면, 그들은 매우 높았기에 그들은 무시무시하였더라. 그리고 그들의 둥근 테들은 그들 넷의 둘레에 눈들로 가득 찼더라.

18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

19 그리고 그 살아 있는 창조물들이 갈 때면 그 바퀴들은 그들 곁에서 갔더라. 그리고 살아 있는 창조물들이 땅에서 위로 들릴 때면 그 바퀴들도 위로 들렸더라.

19 And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

20 그 영이 가려는 곳은 어디든지 그들이 자기들의 영이 가려는 곳으로 갔더라. 그리고 그 바퀴들도 그들과 나란히 위로 들렸더라. 이는 그 살아 있는 창조물의 영이 바퀴들 안에 있었기 때문이라.

20 Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

21 저들이 가면 이들도 갔으며 저들이 서면 이들도 섰더라. 저들이 땅에서 위로 들릴 때면 바퀴들도 그들과 마주하여 위로 들렸더라. 이는 그 살아 있는 창조물의 영이 바퀴들 안에 있었기 때문이라.

21 When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

22 그리고 그 살아 있는 창조물의 머리들 위에 있는 궁창의 생김새는 그들의 머리들 위에 뻗어 있는 공포스러운 수정 색 같았더라.

22 And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

23 그리고 그 궁창 아래에 그들의 날개들이 서로를 향하여 곧게 있었더라. 그들의 몸들은 모두 저마다 이편을 덮은 두 날개를 가졌고, 모두 저마다 저편을 덮은 두 날개를 가졌더라.

23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

24 그리고 그들이 갈 때면 그들의 날개들의 소음을 내가 들었는데 엄청난 물들의 요란한 소리와 같았고, 전능하신 분의 음성, 곧 말씀하시는 음성과 같았으며, 어느 군대의 요란한 소리와 같았더라. 그들이 설 때면 그들은 자신들의 날개들을 내렸더라.

24 And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

25 그리고 그들의 머리들 위에 있던 궁창에서 한 음성이 있었으니, 그들이 서서 그들의 날개들을 내렸을 때였더라.

25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

26 ¶ 그리고 그들의 머리들 위에 있던 궁창 위에 보좌 같은 모습이 있었으니, 사파이어 광석의 모양과 같았더라. 그리고 그 보좌 같은 모습 위에는 그것 위로 사람의 모양을 닮은 형체가 있었더라.

26 ¶ And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

27 그리고 호박의 황색 같으며 그것의 안쪽으로 주위에 불의 모양과 같은 것을 내가 보았으니, 그분의 허리의 모양에서부터 위쪽에 이르기까지 그러하였고, 그분의 허리의 모양에서부터 아래쪽에 이르기까지는 마치 불의 모양 같은 것을 내가 보았으니, 그것은 주위에 광채가 있었더라.

27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

28 비 오는 날의 구름 속에 있는 무지개의 모양처럼 그 주위에 광채의 모양도 그러하였더라. 이것은 주의 영광과 같은 모습의 모양이었더라. 그런즉 내가 그것을 보았을 때, 나는 나의 얼굴을 대고 엎드렸고, 말씀하시는 분의 음성을 내가 들었더라.

28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
