에스겔서 3장

1 뿐만 아니라 그분께서 나에게 말씀하시기를, “사람의 아들아, 네가 발견하는 것을 먹으라. 이 두루마리를 먹고 가서 이스라엘 집에 전하라.” 하셨느니라.

1 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.

2 그렇기에 내가 나의 입을 벌렸더니, 그분께서 나에게 그 두루마리를 먹게 하셨더라.

2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.

3 그런 다음에 그분께서 나에게 말씀하시기를, “사람의 아들아, 내가 너에게 주는 이 두루마리를 너의 배가 먹게 하여 너의 창자를 채우라.” 하셨느니라. 그때 내가 그것을 먹었는데 그것이 나의 입안에서 꿀같이 달콤하였더라.

3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

4 ¶ 이윽고 그분께서 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “사람의 아들아, 가라. 너는 이스라엘 집으로 옮겨 가서 나의 말들을 그들에게 전하라.

4 ¶ And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.

5 이는 네가 외국어를 쓰는 백성에게 보내지는 것이 아니요, 어려운 언어를 쓰는 백성에게 보내지는 것도 아니며, 오직 이스라엘 집으로 보내지기 때문이라.

5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;

6 너는 외국어와 어려운 언어에 속한 많은 백성들, 곧 네가 이해할 수 없는 말들을 가진 자들에게 보내지는 것이 아니니, 내가 너를 그들에게 보냈었더라면 분명히 그들은 너에게 경청하였으리라.

6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.

7 그러나 이스라엘 집은 너에게 경청하지 아니하리라. 이는 그들이 나에게 경청하려고 하지 아니하기 때문이요, 이스라엘의 온 집은 뻔뻔하고 완악한 마음이 되었기 때문이라.

7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.

8 보라, 내가 그들의 얼굴을 대적하여 너의 얼굴을 강하게 하였고, 그들의 이마를 대적하여 너의 이마를 강하게 하였느니라.

8 Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads.

9 내가 너의 이마를 부싯돌보다 더 단단한 금강석 같게 하였노라. 그들이 반역적인 집이라 할지라도 그들을 두려워하지 말고, 그들의 겉모습에 좌절하지도 말라.”

9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

10 더욱이 그분께서 나에게 말씀하셨느니라. “사람의 아들아, 내가 너에게 전할 나의 모든 말들을 너의 마음속으로 받아들이고 너의 두 귀로 들으라.

10 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears.

11 그러고 나서 가라. 너는 포로들에 속한 자들, 곧 너의 백성의 자녀들에게 옮겨 가서 그들에게 전하고, 그들에게 알리기를, ‘주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라.’ 하라. 그들이 들으려 하든지, 아니면 그들이 관두려 하든지 간에 그리하라.”

11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear.

12 그때 그 영께서 나를 들어 올리셨더라. 그러자 나는 내 뒤에서 엄청나게 돌진하는 음성을 들었는데 말하기를, “자신의 처소에서 나오는 주의 영광이 찬양받으시기를 바라나이다.” 하였더라.

12 Then the spirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the LORD from his place.

13 나는 또한 그 살아 있는 창조물들의 날개들이 서로 부딪히는 소음과, 그들과 마주하고 있는 바퀴들의 소음과, 엄청나게 돌진하는 소음을 들었더라.

13 I heard also the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels over against them, and a noise of a great rushing.

14 그렇게 하여 그 영께서 나를 들어 올리시어 나를 멀리 데려가셨는데 나는 나의 영의 열기 속 쓰라림 가운데서 갔더라. 그러나 주의 손이 내 위에 강하게 임하셨더라.

14 So the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the LORD was strong upon me.

15 ¶ 그때 내가 텔아빕에 있는 포로들에 속한 자들에게 왔는데, 그들은 크발강 가에서 지냈고, 나는 그들이 앉아 있던 곳에 앉아서 그들 가운데서 어안이 벙벙한 채로 칠 일 동안 거기에 남아 있었더라.

15 ¶ Then I came to them of the captivity at Telabib, that dwelt by the river of Chebar, and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.

16 그리고 칠 일의 끝에 이러한 일이 있었으니, 주의 말씀이 나에게 임하시어 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

17 “사람의 아들아, 내가 너를 이스라엘 집의 파수꾼으로 세웠노라. 그러므로 나의 입에서 나오는 그 말을 들으라. 그런 다음에 그들에게 나에게서 나오는 경고를 주라.

17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

18 내가 악인에게 말하기를, ‘너는 반드시 죽으리라.’ 하는데 네가 그에게 경고를 주지 아니하고, 자신의 사악한 길에서 떠나 자기 생명을 구하도록 그 사악한 자에게 경고하는 말도 하지 아니할 때면, 바로 그 사악한 사람은 그의 죄악 가운데서 죽을 것이나, 나는 그의 피를 너의 손에서 요구하겠노라.

18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

19 그렇지만 만일 네가 그 사악한 자에게 경고하였는데도 그가 그의 사악함에서나 그의 사악한 길에서도 돌이키지 아니하는 경우에는, 그가 그의 죄악 가운데서 죽을 것이나, 너는 너의 혼을 구출한 것이니라.

19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

20 또 한편, 의로운 사람이 자기 의로부터 돌이켜서 죄악을 저지르고 내가 그의 앞에 걸려 넘어지게 하는 장애물을 놓는 경우에는, 그는 죽을 것이니, 네가 그에게 경고를 주지 아니한 까닭에 그는 그의 죄 가운데서 죽을 것이요, 그가 행한 그의 의는 기억되지 아니할 것이나 그의 피는 내가 너의 손에서 요구하겠노라.

20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

21 그럼에도 불구하고 만일 그 의로운 자가 죄를 짓지 아니하도록 네가 그 의로운 사람에게 경고하여 그가 죄를 짓지 아니하는 경우, 그는 반드시 살 것이니, 그가 경고를 받은 까닭이라. 또한 너는 너희 혼을 구출한 것이니라.”

21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

22 ¶ 그리고 주의 손이 거기서 나의 위에 임하셨더라. 그분께서 나에게 말씀하시기를, “일어나라. 평야 속으로 나아가라. 그리하면 내가 거기서 너와 대화하겠노라.” 하셨느니라.

22 ¶ And the hand of the LORD was there upon me; and he said unto me, Arise, go forth into the plain, and I will there talk with thee.

23 그때 내가 일어나서 평야 속으로 나아갔는데, 보라, 주의 영광이 거기에 섰으니, 내가 크발강 가에서 목격한 영광과 같았더라. 그런즉 내가 나의 얼굴을 대고 엎드렸더라.

23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I fell on my face.

24 그때 그 영께서 내 안으로 들어오시어 나의 두 발로 나를 세우시고 나에게 전하셨으니, 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “가라. 너의 집 안에 너 자신을 가두라.

24 Then the spirit entered into me, and set me upon my feet, and spake with me, and said unto me, Go, shut thyself within thine house.

25 그러나 오, 사람의 아들아, 너는 보라. 그들이 너의 위에서 포승줄들을 올리고 그것들로 너를 묶으리니, 너는 그들 가운데서 빠져나가지 못하리라.

25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:

26 그리고 네가 말 못 하는 자가 되어 그들에게 책망하는 자가 되지 못하도록 내가 너의 혀를 너의 입천장에 달라붙게 하겠노라. 이는 그들이 반역적인 집이기 때문이라.

26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be dumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.

27 그러나 내가 너와 이야기할 때는 친히 너의 입을 열어 주겠노라. 그런 다음에 너는 그들에게 말하기를, ‘주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라.’ 하라. 듣는 자, 그는 들을지어다. 그리고 관두는 자, 그는 관둘지어다. 이는 그들이 반역적인 집이기 때문이라.

27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
