에스겔서 26장

1 이후에 제십일년, 그달 일 일에 이러한 일이 있었으니, 주의 말씀이 나에게 임하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 “사람의 아들아, 이는 티루스가 예루살렘을 대적하며 말하기를, ‘아하, 백성들의 관문들이었던 그녀가 무너지니, 그녀가 나에게로 돌이키는도다. 이제 그녀가 황폐하게 되었으니, 내가 다시 채워지리라.’ 하였기 때문이라.

2 Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:

3 그러므로 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 오, 티루스야, 내가 너를 대적하노니, 바다가 그의 파도들을 올라오게 하듯이 너를 대적하여 많은 민족들을 올라오게 하겠노라.

3 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.

4 그리하면 그들이 티루스의 성벽들을 파괴하고 그녀의 망대를 철거하리라. 내가 그녀에게서 그녀의 티끌까지 긁어모아서 그녀를 바위의 꼭대기처럼 만들겠노라.

4 And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.

5 티루스는 바다의 한복판에서 그물들을 펼쳐 놓는 장소가 되리라. 이는 내가 그것을 말하였기 때문이니, 주 하나님이 말하노라. 그리하면 그것이 민족들에게 약탈물이 되리라.

5 It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations.

6 그리고 들에 있는 그녀의 딸들은 칼에 의하여 살해되리라. 그리하면 그들은 내가 주라는 것을 알게 되리라.

6 And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

7 ¶ 이는 주 하나님이 이같이 말하기 때문이라. 보라, 왕들의 왕이요, 바빌론의 왕인 네부카드레자르를 내가 티루스 위로 데려오겠으니, 북쪽에서부터 말들과 병거들과 기병들과 집단들과 많은 백성들을 대동하리라.

7 ¶ For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.

8 그가 들에 있는 너의 딸들을 칼로 살해하리라. 그런 다음에 그는 너를 대적하여 보루를 만들 것이고, 너를 대적하여 토루를 쌓을 것이며, 너를 대적하여 원형 방패를 치켜들리라.

8 He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.

9 그리고 그가 너의 성벽들을 대적하여 전쟁에 쓰는 기계들을 세울 것이요, 그가 자신의 도끼들로 너의 망대들을 헐리라.

9 And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

10 그의 말들의 풍부함에서 야기된 그들의 티끌이 너를 덮으리라. 그가 너의 대문들 안으로 진입할 때면 사람들이 파손된 곳이 생긴 도시 안으로 침입하는 것과 같아서 기병들의 소음과 바퀴들의 소음과 병거들의 소음에 너의 성벽들이 요동치리라.

10 By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

11 그가 자신의 말들의 발굽들로 너의 모든 거리들을 짓밟을 것이요, 그가 칼로 너의 백성을 살해하고, 너의 튼튼한 주둔지들을 땅바닥으로 무너뜨리리라.

11 With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.

12 그런 다음에 그들이 너의 재물들을 약탈물로 삼고, 너의 상품을 전리품으로 삼으리라. 그리고 그들은 너의 성벽들을 헐고, 너에게 기쁨을 주는 집들을 파괴하리라. 그리고 그들은 너의 돌들과 너의 재목과 너의 티끌을 물 한가운데에 놓으리라.

12 And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.

13 그리하여 내가 너의 노래들의 소음을 그치게 하겠으니, 너의 하프들의 소리가 더 이상 들리지 아니하리라.

13 And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

14 그리고 내가 너를 바위의 꼭대기처럼 만들겠노라. 너는 그물들을 그 위에 펴는 장소가 되리라. 너는 더 이상 건축되지 못하리라. 이는 나 주가 그것을 말하였기 때문이니, 주 하나님이 말하노라.

14 And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

15 ¶ 주 하나님이 티루스에게 이같이 말하노라. 부상당한 자가 소리칠 때, 그 살육이 너의 한복판에서 벌어질 때, 네가 무너지는 소리에 섬들마저 요동치지 아니하겠느냐?

15 ¶ Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

16 그때 바다의 모든 통치자들이 자신들의 보좌들에서 내려와서 자신들의 관복들을 제쳐 두고 자수가 놓인 자신들의 의복들을 벗으리라. 그들이 떨림으로 자신들을 옷 입히리라. 그들은 땅바닥 위에 주저앉을 것이요, 매 순간마다 떨며 너에 대하여 경악하리라.

16 Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.

17 그러면서 그들이 너를 위하여 애가를 짓고 너에게 이같이 말하리라. ‘그곳을 자주 다니는 모든 자들에게 그들의 공포를 야기하는 그녀와 그녀의 거주자들이여, 바닷사람들에 의하여 거주되었던 곳이요, 바다에서 강했던 유명한 도시인 네가 어찌 멸망하였는가!

17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

18 이제 네가 무너지는 날에 섬들이 떨리라. 진정 바다 가운데 있는 섬들이 네가 떠나가는 것을 보고 근심에 빠지리라.’

18 Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.

19 이는 주 하나님이 이같이 말하기 때문이라. 내가 너를 거주하는 자들이 없는 도시들처럼 황량한 도시로 만들 때요, 이는 내가 너의 위에 깊음을 가지고 올라와서 거대한 물들이 너를 덮을 때이니,

19 For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;

20 내가 너를 구렁 속으로 내려가는 자들과 함께 옛적의 백성들과 더불어 끌어내릴 때요, 땅의 낮은 부분들 속에 너를 세울 때요, 예로부터 황량한 곳들 가운데에 구렁으로 내려가는 자들과 함께 있을 때라. 이로써 너는 거주하는 자들이 없는 곳이 되리라. 그리고 나는 산 자들의 지역에 영광을 세우리라.

20 When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

21 내가 너를 공포가 되게 하겠으니, 네가 더 이상 존재하지 아니하리라. 네가 수색을 당할지언정 그럼에도 네가 결코 다시는 발견되지 아니하리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.”

21 I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.
