에스겔서 16장

1 다시금 주의 말씀이 나에게 임하였으니, 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 “사람의 아들아, 예루살렘에서 그녀의 가증함들을 알게 하라.

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3 그런즉 이같이 말하라. 주 하나님이 예루살렘에 이같이 말하노라. 너의 출생과 너의 탄생은 가나안 지역에 속하는도다. 너의 아버지는 아모리족이고, 너의 어머니는 히타이트족이었도다.

3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite.

4 그리고 너의 탄생으로 말하자면, 네가 태어난 날에 너의 탯줄은 잘려지지 아니하였고, 네가 보드랍게 되도록 너는 물로 씻기지도 아니하였도다. 너는 소금도 일절 뿌려지지 아니하였고, 일절 포대기에 싸이지도 아니하였도다.

4 And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

5 이것들 중 조금이라도 너에게 행하고, 너에게 연민을 지닐 만한 너를 동정하는 눈이 아무도 없었도다. 오히려 네가 태어난 날에 너의 외모는 역겨웠기에 너는 벌판 가운데 버려졌도다.

5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

6 ¶ 그러다가 내가 너의 곁을 지나가다가 너 자신의 핏속에서 오염된 너를 보았을 때, 나는 네가 너의 핏속에 있었을 때 너에게 말하기를, ‘살아라.’ 하였노라. 진정 나는 네가 너의 핏속에 있었을 때 너에게 말하기를, ‘살아라.’ 하였노라.

6 ¶ And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

7 내가 너로 하여금 들의 싹같이 번성하게 하였더니, 너는 융성해졌고 창대해졌으며 너는 탁월한 장식들이 되었도다. 너의 젖가슴이 빚어지고, 너의 머리카락은 자랐지만, 너는 벌거벗은 채 맨살이 드러나 있었도다.

7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

8 이제 내가 너의 곁을 지나가면서 너를 바라보았더니, 보라, 너의 때는 사랑을 할 시기였더라. 그런즉 내가 나의 옷자락을 너의 위로 펼쳤고 너의 벌거벗음을 덮었도다. 진정 내가 너에게 맹세하였고, 너와 함께 언약 속으로 들어갔도다. 주 하나님이 말하노라. 그리하여 너는 내 것이 되었노라.

8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

9 그때 내가 너를 물로 씻었도다. 진정 나는 너에게서 너의 피를 철저하게 씻어 냈으니, 내가 너에게 기름을 부었노라.

9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10 또한 나는 너를 자수를 놓은 제품으로 옷 입혔고, 오소리들의 가죽으로 너에게 신발을 신겼노라. 그리고 나는 고운 아마로 너의 주위에 띠를 둘렀고 나는 너를 비단으로 덮어 주었노라.

10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

11 또한 나는 너를 장식품들로 꾸몄으니, 나는 너의 두 손에 팔찌들을 끼우고 너의 목에 목걸이를 걸어주었노라.

11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

12 그리고 나는 너의 이마에 장신구를 달고 너의 두 귀에는 귀고리들을 걸며 너의 머리 위에는 아름다운 왕관을 씌웠노라.

12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

13 이와 같이 너는 금과 은으로 꾸며졌노라. 그리고 너의 의상은 고운 아마포와 비단과 자수를 놓은 제품이었노라. 너는 고운 곡물 가루와 꿀과 기름을 먹었노라. 그리고 너는 지극히 아름다웠으니, 너는 번영하여 하나의 왕국이 되었노라.

13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

14 그리고 너의 아름다움으로 인하여 너의 유명함이 이방 민족들 사이로 뻗어 나갔도다. 이는 내가 너에게 입혀 준 나의 준수함을 통하여 너의 아름다움이 완벽해졌기 때문이라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.

14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

15 ¶ 그러나 너는 너 자신의 아름다움을 신뢰하였고, 너의 유명함으로 인하여 창녀 짓을 하였으며, 지나다니는 모든 이에게 저마다 너의 음행들을 쏟아부었으니, 너의 아름다움은 그의 것이었도다.

15 ¶ But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

16 그리고 너는 너의 의복들 중에서 골라서 다양한 색깔들로 너의 높은 처소들을 꾸몄으며 그 위에서 창녀 짓을 하였도다. 그와 같은 짓들은 일어나지도 아니할 것들이요, 또한 그렇게 되어서도 아니 될 것들이라.

16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

17 너는 또한 나의 금과 나의 은으로 이루어진 너의 아름다운 장신구들을 취하였으니, 그것들은 내가 너에게 이전에 준 것들이라. 그리하여 너 자신을 위하여 사람들의 형상들을 만들었고 그것들과 행음을 저질렀으며,

17 Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them,

18 그러고는 자수를 놓은 너의 옷들을 가져다가 그것들을 입혔도다. 그리고 너는 나의 기름과 나의 향을 그것들 앞에 두었도다.

18 And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.

19 내가 너에게 준 나의 음식과, 고운 곡물 가루와 기름과 꿀, 곧 내가 그것으로 너를 먹인 음식들을 너는 심지어 그 형상들 앞에 감미로운 향기로 두었도다. 그리하여 이와 같이 되었나니, 주 하나님이 말하노라.

19 My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD.

20 이뿐만 아니라 너는 네가 나에게 낳아 준 너의 아들들과 너의 딸들을 취하였고, 너는 이들을 집어삼켜지도록 그 형상들에게 희생 제물로 바쳤도다. 너의 이러한 행음들이 그저 작은 사건이기에

20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

21 너는 나의 자녀들을 살해하고 그들을 넘겨 주어 그 형상들을 위하여 그들로 하여금 불을 통과하게 하였느냐?

21 That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them?

22 그런데도 너는 너의 모든 가증함들과 너의 행음들 가운데서 너의 어린 시절의 날들을 기억하지 아니하였도다. 그때 너는 벌거벗은 채 맨살이 드러나 있었으며 너의 피로 오염되어 있었도다.

22 And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood.

23 그리고 너의 모든 사악함을 따라 이러한 일이 있었으니, (너에게 화가 있기를 바라노라, 화가 있기를 바라노라! 주 하나님이 말하노라.)

23 And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;)

24 또한 너는 너에게 우뚝 솟은 처소를 지어 두었고, 모든 거리마다 너에게 높은 처소를 만들어 두었도다.

24 That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street.

25 너는 너의 높은 처소를 모든 길머리마다 지었고 너의 아름다움을 혐오스러운 것으로 만들었으며 지나가는 각인에게 너의 두 발을 벌려 너의 행음들을 가중시켰도다.

25 Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms.

26 너는 또한 몸집이 커다란 너의 이웃들인 이집트인들과 음행하였고, 너의 행음들을 늘려 나에게 분노를 일으켰도다.

26 Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger.

27 그러므로, 보라, 내가 나의 손을 너의 위로 뻗었고 너의 일상적인 양식을 감축하였으며 너를 증오하는 자들이자 너의 음란한 길을 부끄러워하는 필리스티아인들의 딸들의 뜻대로 너를 넘겨 주었도다.

27 Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28 네가 만족스러워하지 아니한 까닭에 너는 아시리아인들과도 매춘부 짓을 행하였도다. 진정 너는 그들과 창녀 짓을 하였으나 그럼에도 만족할 수 없었도다.

28 Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

29 이뿐만 아니라 너는 가나안 지역에서 칼데아까지 너의 음행을 가중시켰도다. 그런데도 불구하고 너는 그것으로도 만족하지 아니하였도다.

29 Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

30 주 하나님이 말하노라. 네가 이 모든 일들, 곧 건방지고 창녀 같은 여자의 행위를 하는 것을 보니, 너의 마음이 얼마나 약한 것이냐!

30 How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman;

31 네가 모든 길머리마다 너의 우뚝 솟은 처소를 건축하고 모든 거리마다 너의 높은 처소를 지으면서도 네가 품값을 경멸하니, 창녀 같지 아니하였도다.

31 In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire;

32 오히려 자신의 남편 대신 타국인들을 데리고 간음하는 아내 같도다.

32 But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband!

33 그들은 모든 매춘부들에게 선물들을 주는도다. 그러나 너는 너의 모든 애인들에게 너의 선물들을 주고 그들을 고용해서 그들로 하여금 너의 행음을 위하여 사면에서 너에게 들어오도록 하는도다.

33 They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom.

34 그런즉 너의 행음들에 있어서 너에게 다른 여자들과 상반되는 것이 있으니, 아무도 너를 따르며 행음들을 저지르려고 하지 않지만, 그런데도 너는 보수를 주면서 너에게는 아무 보수도 주어지지 아니하므로 이 점에서 너는 그들과 상반되는도다.

34 And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary.

35 ¶ 오, 창녀야, 이러한 이유로 주의 말을 들으라.

35 ¶ Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD:

36 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 이는 너의 추악함이 쏟아져 나왔고 너의 애인들과 벌이고 너의 가증함들의 모든 우상들과 벌인 너의 행음들을 통하여, 또 네가 그들에게 내주었던 너의 자녀들의 피에 의하여 네 벌거벗음이 드러났기 때문이라.

36 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;

37 그러므로, 보라, 내가 너의 모든 애인들, 곧 네가 함께 쾌락을 즐긴 자들과 네가 사랑한 모든 자들을 네가 증오한 모든 자들과 함께 모으겠노라. 내가 실로 너를 대적하여 그들을 주위에 모으겠으니, 그들이 너의 벌거벗음을 전부 볼 수 있도록, 너의 벌거벗음을 그들에게 드러내겠노라.

37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated; I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38 그리고 마치 결혼 생활을 깨고 피를 흘린 여자들이 심판받는 것같이 내가 너를 심판하겠노라. 그리하여 내가 노여움과 질투 가운데서 너에게 피를 주겠노라.

38 And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy.

39 그리고 나는 너를 또한 그들의 손안에 내주겠으니, 그들이 너의 우뚝 솟은 처소를 무너뜨릴 것이요, 너의 높은 처소들을 헐리라. 그들은 또한 너에게서 너의 옷을 벗길 것이요, 너의 수려한 보석 장식들을 빼앗으리니, 벌거벗고 맨살이 드러난 너를 버려두리라.

39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high places: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

40 그들은 또한 너를 대적하여 한 집단을 데리고 올라올 것이요, 그들은 돌들을 던져 너를 죽이고 그들의 칼들로 너를 찌르리라.

40 They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

41 그리고 너의 집들을 불로 태우고 많은 여자들의 목전에서 너의 위에 심판들을 집행하리라. 그리하여 나는 네가 창녀 짓 하는 것을 중단시키겠으며 너는 더 이상 어떤 품값도 주지 아니하리라.

41 And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.

42 그렇게 하여 내가 너를 향한 나의 노여움을 진정시키겠으니, 나의 질투가 너에게서 떠나리라. 그리하여 내가 침착하게 되겠으니, 더 이상 분노하지 아니하겠노라.

42 So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

43 이는 네가 너의 어린 시절의 날들을 기억하지 아니하고 오히려 이 모든 것들로 나를 애태운 까닭이라. 보라, 그러므로 나 또한 너의 길을 너의 머리 위에 갚겠노라. 주 하나님이 말하노라. 그리하면 너는 너의 모든 가증함들 위에 이 음란한 짓을 저지르지 아니하리라.

43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.

44 ¶ 보라, 속담들을 사용하는 모든 자마다 너를 대적하여 이 속담을 사용하리니, 말하기를, ‘어머니가 그러하듯 그녀의 딸도 그러하다.’ 하는 것이라.

44 ¶ Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

45 너는 그녀의 남편과 그녀의 자녀들을 역겨워하는 너의 어머니의 딸이로다. 그리고 너는 자신들의 남편들과 자신들의 자녀들을 역겨워한 너의 자매들의 자매로다. 너희의 어머니는 히타이트족이요, 너희의 아버지는 아모리족이었도다.

45 Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

46 그리고 너의 언니는 사마리아니, 그녀와 그녀의 딸들은 너의 왼편에 거하는도다. 그리고 너의 오른편에 거하는 너의 여동생은 소돔과 그녀의 딸들이라.

46 And thine elder sister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

47 그럼에도 너는 그들의 길들을 좇아 살아가지 아니하였고 그들의 가증함들을 좇아 행하지도 아니하였도다. 오히려 마치 그것이 아주 작은 것인 양, 너는 너의 모든 길들 가운데서 그들보다 더 부패하였도다.

47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

48 내가 살아 있음을 두고 맹세하노니, 주 하나님이 말하노라. 너의 자매 소돔, 곧 그녀도 그녀의 딸들도 네가 행한 것처럼은, 곧 너와 너의 딸들이 행한 것처럼은 하지 아니하였노라.

48 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 보라, 너의 자매 소돔의 죄악은 이것이니, 곧 그녀와 그녀의 딸들 가운데 교만과, 빵의 가득함과, 게으름의 넘쳐남이 그녀 안과 그녀의 딸들 안에 있었던 것이라. 또한 그녀는 가난한 자와 빈곤한 자의 손에 힘을 주지 아니하였도다.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 그리고 그들은 거만하였고 내 앞에서 가증한 짓을 저질렀도다. 그러므로 내가 좋게 보았던 대로 나는 그들을 제거하였도다.

50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

51 사마리아도 너의 죄들의 절반도 범하지 아니하였도다. 오히려 너는 그들보다 너의 가증함들을 더 가중시켰고 네가 행한 모든 가증함들에 있어서 너의 자매들의 정당함을 입증하였도다.

51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52 또한 너의 자매들을 판단하였던 너는 네가 그들보다 더 가증하게 저질렀던 너의 죄들로 인하여 너 자신의 수치를 감당할지니라. 그들이 너보다 더 의롭도다. 진정 네가 너의 자매들을 정당화한 일에 있어서 너는 또한 당혹스러워하고 너의 수치를 감당하라.

52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

53 내가 그들의 포로들, 즉 소돔과 그녀의 딸들의 포로들과, 사마리아와 그녀의 딸들의 포로들을 다시 데려올 그때는 내가 그들의 한복판에서 너의 포로들의 포로 신분을 다시 되돌리겠노라.

53 When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them:

54 이는 너로 하여금 너 자신의 수치를 감당하게 하려 함이요, 네가 행한 모든 일과 네가 그들에게 하나의 위로가 된 일에 있어서 당혹스러워하게 하려 함이라.

54 That thou mayest bear thine own shame, and mayest be confounded in all that thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort unto them.

55 너의 자매들, 곧 소돔과 그녀의 딸들이 그들의 이전 신분으로 되돌아오며, 사마리아와 그녀의 딸들이 그들의 이전 신분으로 되돌아올 그때, 너와 너의 딸들도 너희의 이전 신분으로 되돌아오리라.

55 When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

56 이는 너의 교만의 날에 너의 입에서 너의 자매 소돔이 언급되지 아니한 까닭이니,

56 For thy sister Sodom was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

57 곧 너의 사악함이 드러나기 전이요, 시리아의 딸들에게서와, 그녀의 주위에 있는 모든 자들에게서와, 주위에서 너를 멸시하는 필리스티아인들의 딸들에게서 받는 너의 비방의 때에 해당하노라.

57 Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about.

58 너는 너의 음란함과 너의 가증함들을 짊어졌도다. 주가 말하노라.

58 Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD.

59 이는 주 하나님이 이같이 말하기 때문이라. 너는 언약을 파기함에 있어서 맹세를 멸시하였으니, 나도 네가 행한 대로 정확히 너를 다루겠노라.

59 For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

60 ¶ 그럼에도 불구하고 나는 너의 어린 시절의 날들에 너와 함께한 나의 언약을 기억하겠으니, 나는 영원한 언약을 너에게 확립하겠노라.

60 ¶ Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

61 네가 너의 자매들인 너의 언니와 너의 동생을 받아들일 그때 너는 너의 길들을 기억하고 부끄러워하리라. 그리하면 내가 그들을 너에게 딸들로 주겠으나 너와 맺은 언약에 의한 것은 아니니라.

61 Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

62 그러므로 내가 너와 함께 나의 언약을 확립하겠노라. 그리하면 너는 내가 주라는 것을 알게 되리라.

62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD:

63 이는 네가 행한 모든 일에 있어서 내가 너를 향하여 누그러졌을 때 너로 하여금 기억하고 당혹스러워하여 더 이상 너의 수치 때문에 너의 입을 열지 못하게 하려는 것이라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.”

63 That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.
