에스겔서 39장

1 그러므로 너, 사람의 아들아, 곡을 대적하여 예언하여 이같이 말하라. 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 오, 메셱과 투발의 최고 통치자 곡아, 보라, 내가 너를 대적하노라.

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

2 그런즉 내가 너를 뒤로 돌이켜서 너의 육분의 일만 남기겠고, 너를 북쪽 영역들에서 올라오게 하겠으며, 너를 이스라엘의 산들 위로 데려오겠노라.

2 And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:

3 그리고 내가 너의 왼손에서 너의 활을 치겠으니, 너의 화살들을 네 오른손에서 떨어뜨리게 하겠노라.

3 And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

4 너는 이스라엘의 산들 위에 쓰러지리니, 곧 너와, 너의 모든 부대들과, 너의 곁에 있는 백성이라. 나는 탐욕스럽게 삼키는 각종 모든 새들과 들짐승들에게 집어삼켜지도록 너를 내주겠노라.

4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.

5 너는 벌판 위에서 쓰러지리라. 이는 내가 그것을 말하였기 때문이라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.

5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

6 그리고 내가 불을 마곡 위와 섬들에서 태평하게 지내는 자들 가운데로 보내리라. 그리하면 그들은 내가 주라는 것을 알게 되리라.

6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

7 그렇게 하여 내가 나의 백성 이스라엘의 한가운데서 나의 거룩한 이름을 알리겠노라. 그리고 나는 그들이 더 이상 나의 거룩한 이름을 오염시키지 못하게 하겠노라. 그리하면 이교도들은 내가 이스라엘 안에 있는 거룩한 이, 주라는 것을 알게 되리라.

7 So will I make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.

8 ¶ 보라, 그것이 이르렀고, 그것이 이루어졌도다. 주 하나님이 말하노라. 이것이 내가 말해 왔던 그날이라.

8 ¶ Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

9 이후에 이스라엘의 도시들 안에 거하는 자들이 밖으로 나갈 것이요, 불을 질러 무기들을 태우리니, 방패들과 원형 방패들과 활들과 화살들과 곤봉들과 창들 모두라. 그리하여 그들이 칠 년 동안 그것들을 불로 태우리라.

9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:

10 그렇게 하여 그들이 들판에서 목재를 전혀 취해 가지 아니할 것이요, 숲들에서 어떤 나무도 찍어 쓰러뜨려 꺼내지 아니하리라. 이는 그들이 무기들을 불로 태울 것이기 때문이라. 그리고 그들은 자신들을 약탈하였던 자들을 약탈할 것이요, 자신들을 강탈하였던 자들을 강탈하리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라

10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

11 ¶ 그리고 그날에는 이러한 일이 있으리니, 내가 거기 이스라엘 안에 있는 무덤들 중에서 곡에게 한 장소, 곧 바다의 동쪽을 통행하는 행인들의 골짜기를 주리라. 그리하면 그것이 행인들의 코를 막을 것이요, 거기서 그들이 곡과 그의 모든 무리를 매장하리라. 그리하면 그들이 그것을 하몬곡의 골짜기라 부르리라.

11 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call it The valley of Hamongog.

12 그리고 이스라엘 집이 칠 개월 동안 그들을 매장하리니, 그들이 그 지역을 정결하게 하려 함이라.

12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.

13 진정 그 지역의 모든 백성이 그들을 매장하리라. 그리하면 그것이 내가 영화롭게 되는 그날에 그들에게 유명한 일이 되리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.

13 Yea, all the people of the land shall bury them; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.

14 그리고 그들은 지속적으로 고용될 자들을 분리해 내리니, 그 지역을 지나다니면서 그곳을 정결하게 하고자, 땅의 표면 위에 남아 있는 자들을, 행인들과 함께 매장하기 위함이라. 칠 개월이 끝난 이후에는 그들이 찾아다니리라.

14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.

15 그런즉 그 지역을 지나다니는 행인들 중 누군가가 사람의 뼈를 볼 때면 그때 그는 매장하는 자들이 그것을 하몬곡의 골짜기 안에 매장할 때까지 그것 옆에 표식을 세우리라.

15 And the passengers that pass through the land, when any seeth a man's bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.

16 그런즉 그 도시의 이름도 하모나가 되리라. 이리하여 그들이 그 지역을 정결하게 하리라.

16 And also the name of the city shall be Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

17 ¶ 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 사람의 아들아, 그런즉 너는 깃털이 달린 각종 모든 날짐승과 각종 모든 들짐승에게 말하라. 너희끼리 결집하여 오라. 내가 너희를 위하여 희생시키는 희생 제물에게로 사면에서 스스로 모이라. 바로 이스라엘의 산들 위에 있는 엄청난 희생 제물이니, 너희가 살을 먹고 피를 마실 희생 제물이라.

17 ¶ And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

18 너희가 막강한 자들의 살을 먹을 것이요, 땅의 통치자들의 피와, 숫양들의 피와, 어린양들의 피와, 염소들의 피와, 수송아지들의 피, 곧 바샨의 모든 살찐 것들의 피를 마시리라.

18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.

19 그리고 너희는 내가 너희를 위하여 희생시킨 나의 희생 제물에서 너희의 배가 찰 때까지 지방을 먹고, 너희가 취할 때까지 피를 마시리라.

19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.

20 이와 같이 너희는 나의 식탁에서 말들과 병거들과 막강한 사람들과 모든 전사들로 배를 채우게 되리라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.

20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

21 그리고 내가 나의 영광을 이교도들 가운데 두겠으니, 모든 이교도들은 내가 집행한 나의 심판과, 내가 그들 위에 올려놓은 나의 손을 보리라.

21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

22 그렇게 하여 그날부터 이후로 이스라엘 집은 내가 주 그들의 하나님이라는 것을 알게 되리라.

22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

23 ¶ 그리고 이교도들은 이스라엘 집이 그들의 죄악으로 인하여 포로로 끌려간 것을 알게 되리라. 이는 그들이 나를 대적하여 범법한 까닭이니, 그러므로 내가 나의 얼굴을 그들에게서 숨겼고, 그들을 그들의 원수들의 손안에 내주었노라. 그렇게 그들이 칼에 의하여 모두 쓰러졌도다.

23 ¶ And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.

24 나는 그들의 불결함에 따라, 그들의 불법들에 따라 그들에게 행하였고, 나의 얼굴을 그들에게서 숨겼도다.

24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

25 그러므로 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라. 이제 내가 야곱의 포로들을 다시 데려오고, 이스라엘의 온 집 위에 자비를 베풀겠으니, 나의 거룩한 이름을 위하여 질투하겠노라.

25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

26 그들은 자신들의 수치를 짊어진 이후에, 곧 그들이 자신들의 지역에서 안전하게 거하고 아무도 그들을 무섭게 하지 아니하였을 때 그들이 나를 대적하여 범법한 그들의 모든 범법들을 짊어진 이후에

26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

27 곧, 내가 그들을 다시 백성들로부터 데리고 와서 그들의 원수들의 영토들에서 그들을 모으고, 많은 민족들의 목전에서 그들 가운데서 거룩하게 구별될 때,

27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;

28 비로소 그들은 내가 그들을 이교도들 사이에서 포로 생활 속으로 끌려가게 한, 주 그들의 하나님이라는 것을 알게 되리라. 그러나 나는 그들의 본토에 그들을 모았으니, 더 이상 그들 중 아무도 거기에 남겨 두지 아니하였노라.

28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

29 또한 내가 다시는 나의 얼굴을 그들에게서 숨기지 아니하겠노라. 이는 내가 나의 영을 이스라엘 집 위에 쏟아부었기 때문이라. 주 하나님이 말하노라.”

29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
