호세아 9장

1 오, 이스라엘아, 다른 백성들같이 즐거움으로 크게 기뻐하지 말라. 이는 네가 너의 하나님을 떠나 행음하러 다녔기 때문이니, 너는 각각의 탈곡하는 마당 위에서 보상을 사랑하였도다.

1 Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.

2 그 마당과 그 포도즙 틀이 그들을 먹이지 못할 것이요, 새 포도즙이 그녀 안에서 고갈되리라.

2 The floor and the winepress shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail in her.

3 그들은 주의 토지 가운데 거하지 못하리라. 반면에 에프라임은 이집트로 되돌아갈 것이요, 그들은 아시리아에서 불결한 것들을 먹으리라.

3 They shall not dwell in the LORD'S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

4 그들은 주께 포도즙을 제물들로 바치지 못할 것이요, 그들은 그에게 기쁨이 되지도 못하리라. 그들의 희생 제물들은 그들에게 마치 애곡하는 자들의 빵 같으리라. 그것을 먹는 모든 자들은 오염되리라. 이는 그들의 혼을 위한 그들의 빵이 주의 집 안으로 들어오지 못할 것이기 때문이라.

4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the LORD.

5 엄숙한 날과 주의 명절날에 너희는 무엇을 하겠느냐?

5 What will ye do in the solemn day, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?

6 이는 보라, 그들이 멸망으로 인하여 떠나갔기 때문이라. 이집트가 그들을 다 수거할 것이요, 멤피스가 그들을 장사하리라. 그들의 은을 두는 쾌적한 장소들, 그곳들은 쐐기풀들이 차지하리라. 가시나무들이 그들의 장막들 안에 있으리라.

6 For, lo, they are gone because of destruction: Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant places for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns shall be in their tabernacles.

7 감찰의 날들이 이르렀고 되갚음의 날들이 이르렀도다. 이스라엘은 그것을 알지니라. 너의 죄악과 크나큰 증오의 허다함으로 인하여 예언자는 어리석은 자가 되었으며 영적인 사람은 미쳤도다.

7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

8 에프라임의 파수꾼은 나의 하나님과 함께 있었도다. 그러나 지금은 예언자가 그의 모든 길들 가운데서 새 사냥꾼의 올무가 되고, 그의 하나님의 집 안에서 증오가 되는도다.

8 The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

9 그들은 기브아의 날들과 같이 자신들을 심각하게 부패시켰도다. 그러므로 그분께서 그들의 죄악을 기억하실 것이요, 그분께서 그들의 죄들을 벌하시리라.

9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

10 내가 광야 가운데 포도들처럼 이스라엘을 발견하였노라. 내가 마치 무화과나무에서 그녀가 생전 처음으로 맺은 처음 익은 열매를 보듯이 너희 조상들을 보았노라. 그러나 그들은 바알프올에게 가서 자신들을 그 수치스러움에 이르도록 분리하였도다. 그리고 그들의 가증함들은 그들이 사랑한 것과 같았도다.

10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

11 에프라임으로 말하자면, 그들의 영광은 탄생하던 때로부터, 태에 있던 때로부터, 잉태하던 때로부터 새처럼 날아가 버리리라.

11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.

12 비록 그들이 자신들의 자녀들을 육성할지라도 여전히 나는 그들에게서 자녀들을 앗아가겠으니, 한 사람도 남지 아니하게 하려 함이라. 진정 내가 그들을 떠날 때는 그들에게도 화가 있기를 바라노라!

12 Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

13 마치 내가 티루스를 보았듯이 에프라임도 한 쾌적한 장소에 심겼도다. 그러나 에프라임은 자기 자녀들을 낳아 살인자에게 주리라.

13 Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.

14 오, 주여, 그들에게 주소서. 당신께서 무엇을 주시겠나이까? 그들에게 유산하는 태와 젖이 마른 가슴을 주소서.

14 Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15 그들의 모든 사악함은 길갈에 있도다. 이는 거기서 내가 그들을 증오하였기 때문이라. 그들의 처신들의 사악함으로 인하여 내가 그들을 나의 집에서 내쫓을 것이요, 나는 더 이상 그들을 사랑하지 아니하겠노라. 그들의 모든 통치자들은 반란자들이라.

15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

16 에프라임은 얻어맞았고 그들의 뿌리는 말라 버렸도다. 그들은 열매를 맺지 못하리라. 진정 그들이 출산할지라도 여전히 나는 그들의 태에서 나온 그 사랑받는 열매마저 살해하겠노라.

16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

17 그들이 그분께 경청하지 아니한 까닭에 나의 하나님께서 그들을 쫓아내시리라. 그리하여 그들은 민족들 가운데서 유랑자들이 되리라.

17 My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
