요엘 3장

1 이는 보라, 그날들에 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 포로들을 다시 데려올 그때는,

1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

2 내가 모든 민족들도 모으겠고, 여호샤팟 골짜기로 그들을 데리고 내려가겠으며, 나의 백성과 나의 상속 재산인 이스라엘을 위하여 거기서 그들과 함께 변론하겠노라. 그들은 이스라엘을 민족들 가운데 흩었으며 나의 지역을 나누었도다.

2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

3 그리고 그들은 내 백성을 두고 제비들을 던졌도다. 그리하여 창녀를 얻으려고 남자애를 내주었으며 자신들이 마실 포도즙을 얻으려고 여자애를 팔았도다.

3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

4 그런즉 오, 티레와 지돈과, 팔레스타인의 모든 지경들아, 진정 너희가 나와 무슨 상관이 있느냐? 너희가 나에게 되갚으려 하느냐? 그런즉 만일 너희가 나에게 되갚는다면 나는 너희의 되갚음을 빠르고 신속하게 너희 자신의 머리 위로 되돌리겠노라.

4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;

5 이는 너희가 나의 은과 나의 금을 빼앗아갔고 나의 수려하고 기쁨을 주는 것들을 너희 신전들 안으로 실어 갔기 때문이라.

5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:

6 또한 너희는 유다 자녀들과 예루살렘 자녀들을 헬라어를 하는 사람들에게 팔았으니, 너희가 그들을 그들의 경계에서 멀리 옮기려 한 것이라.

6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.

7 보라, 너희가 그들을 판 장소에서 내가 그들을 빼내어 일으키겠으며, 너희의 되갚음을 너희 자신의 머리 위로 되돌리겠노라.

7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:

8 그리하여 내가 너희 아들들과 너희 딸들을 유다 자녀들의 손안에 팔겠으며, 그들은 멀리 떨어져 있는 백성에게, 곧 사베인들에게 그들을 팔리라. 이는 주가 그것을 말하였기 때문이라.

8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

9 ¶ 너희는 이방인들 가운데서 이것을 공표하라. “전쟁을 예비하라. 막강한 남자들을 깨우라. 모든 전사들을 가까이 다가오게 하라. 그들을 올라오게 하라.”

9 ¶ Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

10 너희의 보습들을 쳐서 칼들을 만들고, 너희의 가지치는 낫들을 쳐서 창들을 만들라. 약한 자가 “나는 강하도다.”라고 말하게 하라.

10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

11 너희, 모든 이교도들아, 스스로 집결하여 오라. 그리하여 주위에서 스스로 함께 모이라. 오, 주여, 당신의 막강한 자들로 하여금 그곳으로 내려오게 하소서.

11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.

12 이교도들은 깨어나서 여호샤팟 골짜기로 올라올지어다. 이는 내가 그곳에 앉아서 주위를 에워싼 모든 이교도들을 심판할 것이기 때문이라.

12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.

13 너희는 낫을 대라. 이는 수확물이 익었기 때문이라. 너희는 와서 밟으라. 이는 압축 틀이 가득 찼고 지방들이 넘쳐흐르기 때문이라. 이는 그들의 사악함이 대단히 크기 때문이라.

13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

14 무리들이로다, 결의의 골짜기 안에 있는 무리들이로다. 이는 주의 날이 결의의 골짜기 안에서 가깝기 때문이라.

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

15 해와 달이 어두워질 것이요, 별들이 그들의 반짝거림을 거두리라.

15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16 주가 또한 시온에서 포효할 것이요, 예루살렘에서 그의 음성을 발하리라. 그리하면 하늘들과 땅이 요동하리라. 그러나 주는 그의 백성의 소망이요, 이스라엘 자녀들의 힘이 되리라.

16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

17 그렇게 하여 너희는 내가 나의 거룩한 산 시온에 거하는 주 너희 하나님이라는 것을 알게 되리라. 그때 예루살렘은 거룩해질 것이요, 더 이상 타국인들이 그녀를 통과하지 못하리라.

17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

18 ¶ 그런 다음에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 그날에는 산들이 새 포도즙을 방울방울 떨어뜨릴 것이요, 언덕들에 젖이 흐를 것이요, 유다의 모든 강들에서 물들이 흐를 것이요, 주의 집에서 샘이 나오리니, 싯팀 골짜기에 물을 대리라.

18 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.

19 이집트는 황무지가 될 것이요, 에돔은 황량한 광야가 되리라. 이는 유다 자녀들을 대적한 폭력 때문이요, 그들이 자신들의 지역에서 무고한 피를 흘렸기 때문이라.

19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

20 그러나 유다가 영원토록 거할 것이요, 예루살렘이 대대로 거하리라.

20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.

21 이는 내가 정결하게 하지 아니한 그들의 피를 정결하게 할 것이기 때문이요, 주가 시온에 거하기 때문이라.

21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.
