1 네가 약탈당하지 아니하였는데도 약탈하며, 그들이 너를 배신하지 아니하였는데도 배신하는 너에게 화가 있기를 바라노라! 네가 약탈을 중단할 때 너는 약탈당할 것이요, 네가 배신하는 것을 끝낼 때 그들이 너를 배신하리라.
1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
2 오, 주여, 저희에게 은혜롭게 대하여 주소서. 저희는 당신을 기다렸나이다. 당신께서 매일 아침에 그들의 팔이 되어 주시고, 곤경의 때에도 저희의 구원이 되어 주소서.
2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.
3 소란의 떠들썩한 소리에 백성들이 도망하였나이다. 당신께서 일어나심으로 민족들이 흩어졌나이다.
3 At the noise of the tumult the people fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations were scattered.
4 그런즉 너희의 약탈물이 애벌레의 모임처럼 모이리라. 메뚜기들이 이리저리 뛰는 것같이 그분께서 그들 위에 뛰시리라.
4 And your spoil shall be gathered like the gathering of the caterpiller: as the running to and fro of locusts shall he run upon them.
5 주께서 크게 높여지셨도다. 이는 그분께서 높은 곳에 거하시기 때문이라. 그분께서 공의와 의로 시온을 채우셨도다.
5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
6 또 지혜와 지식은 너의 때들에 안정과 구원의 힘이 되리라. 주를 두려워하는 것이 그의 보물이로다.
6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
7 보라, 그들의 용맹한 이들이 밖에서 부르짖으리라. 화평의 대사들이 비통하게 울리라.
7 Behold, their valiant ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
8 대로들이 황폐하게 놓여 있고, 도보로 다니는 사람이 그치는도다. 그가 그 언약을 파기하였으며, 그가 도시들을 멸시하였고, 그가 아무도 중요하게 여기지 아니하는도다.
8 The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth no man.
9 땅이 애곡하며 쇠약해지는도다. 레바논이 부끄러움을 당하고 찍혀 쓰러지는도다. 샤론은 광야 같도다. 또 바샨과 칼멜은 그들의 열매들을 흔들어 떨어뜨리는도다.
9 The earth mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and hewn down: Sharon is like a wilderness; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their fruits.
10 주가 말하노라. 이제 내가 일어나리라. 이제 내가 크게 높임을 받겠노라. 이제 내가 나 자신을 들어 올리겠노라.
10 Now will I rise, saith the LORD; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.
11 너희는 쭉정이를 잉태할 것이요, 너희는 그루터기를 내리라. 너희의 호흡이 불같이 너희를 집어삼키리라.
11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as fire, shall devour you.
12 그리고 백성은 석회가 불타는 것같이 될 것이요, 잘게 잘려진 가시나무들같이 그들은 불속에서 태워지리라.
12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the fire.
13 ¶ 멀리 떨어져 있는 너희여, 내가 행한 것을 들으라. 가까이 있는 너희여, 나의 막강함을 인정하라.
13 ¶ Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.
14 시온에 있는 죄인들이 무서워하는도다. 두려워함이 위선자들을 놀라게 하였으니, “우리 가운데 누가 집어삼키는 불과 함께 거하랴? 우리 가운데 누가 영원히 불타는 것들과 함께 거하랴?” 하였도다.
14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
15 의롭게 살아가고, 올바르게 말하는 자, 압제들에서 얻는 이득을 멸시하는 자, 자기 손을 내저으며 청탁물들을 붙잡지 아니하는 자, 피에 대하여 듣는 데서 자신의 두 귀를 틀어막고, 악을 보는 데서 자신의 두 눈을 닫는 자,
15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
16 그는 높은 곳에서 지낼 것이요, 반석들로 된 방어 시설들이 그를 수호하는 처소가 되리라. 빵이 그에게 주어질 것이요, 그의 물들이 확보되리라.
16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
17 너의 두 눈은 그의 아름다움 속에 있는 왕을 쳐다보리라. 그들은 아주 멀리 떨어져 있는 지역을 보리라.
17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
18 너의 마음은 공포를 묵상하리라. 서기관이 어디에 있느냐? 돈을 받던 그자가 어디에 있느냐? 망대들을 헤아리던 자가 어디에 있느냐?
18 Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
19 너는 사나운 백성을 보지 아니하리니, 곧 네가 이해할 수 있는 것보다 더 어려운 구어를 쓰는 백성이로다. 말을 더듬는 방언에 속하여 네가 이해할 수 없느니라.
19 Thou shalt not see a fierce people, a people of a deeper speech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
20 우리의 엄숙한 의식들의 도성인 시온을 바라보라. 너의 두 눈이 조용한 거처인 예루살렘을 쳐다보리니, 곧 무너지지 아니할 장막이라. 그곳의 나무 말뚝들 중 하나도 결코 치워지지 아니할 것이요, 그곳의 끈들 중 어떤 것도 끊어지지 아니하리라.
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tabernacle that shall not be taken down; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
21 그러나 영광스러운 주께서 우리에게 드넓은 강들과 개울들의 처소가 되시리라. 그 안에는 노들이 달린 함선도 지나가지 못할 것이요, 화려한 선박도 그 근처로 지나다니지 못하리라.
21 But there the glorious LORD will be unto us a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.
22 이는 주께서 우리의 심판자시요, 주께서 우리의 입법자시요, 주께서 우리의 왕이시기 때문이라. 그분께서 우리를 구원하시리라.
22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.
23 너의 항해 장비들이 풀렸도다. 그들은 자신들의 돛대를 제대로 강화시킬 수 없었고, 그들은 돛을 펼칠 수 없었도다. 그때 엄청난 노획물의 전리품이 분배되는도다. 절뚝거리는 자들도 전리품을 취하는도다.
23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail: then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.
24 그리고 그 거주자들은 말하기를, “나는 병들었도다.” 하지 아니할 것이요, 그 안에 거하는 백성들은 그들의 죄악을 용서받으리라.
24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
