1 일어나라. 빛을 발하라. 이는 너의 빛이 이르렀고 주의 영광이 너의 위로 떠올랐기 때문이라.

1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

2 이는 보라, 어둠이 땅을 덮고 지독한 어둠이 백성을 덮을 것이기 때문이라. 그러나 주가 너의 위로 떠오를 것이요, 그의 영광이 너의 위에서 보이리라.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

3 그리하여 이방인들이 너의 빛으로, 왕들이 너의 떠오르는 광명으로 나아오리라.

3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

4 너의 두 눈을 들어 주위를 보라. 그들 모두가 스스로 함께 모이나니, 그들이 너에게로 오는도다. 너의 아들들이 먼 곳으로부터 올 것이요, 너의 딸들은 너의 옆에서 길러지리라.

4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.

5 그때 네가 보고 함께 흐르리니, 너의 마음이 두려우면서도 넓어지리라. 이는 바다의 풍부함이 네게로 돌려질 것이요, 이방인들의 병력들도 너에게로 올 것이기 때문이라.

5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

6 수많은 낙타들이 너를 뒤덮으리니, 미디안과 에파의 단봉낙타들이 그러하리라. 그들 모두가 셰바에서 오리라. 그들이 금과 향을 가져오리라. 그리하여 그들이 주의 찬송들을 널리 알리리라.

6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.

7 케달의 모든 양 떼들이 너에게로 함께 모일 것이요, 느바이옷의 숫양들이 너를 섬기리라. 그것들이 기꺼이 받아들여지는 것으로 나의 제단 위에 오르리니, 내가 나의 영광의 집을 영화롭게 하겠노라.

7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.

8 구름같이, 또 비둘기들같이 그들의 창문들로 날아드는 이들은 누구냐?

8 Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?

9 과연 섬들이 나를 기다리리니, 먼저 타르시시의 선박들이 기다릴 터인데 그들의 은과 그들의 금을 가지고 너의 아들들을 먼 곳으로부터 주 너의 하나님의 이름과 이스라엘의 거룩한 이에게로 데려오리라. 이는 그가 너를 영화롭게 하였기 때문이라.

9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

10 그때 타국인들의 아들들은 너의 성벽들을 세울 것이요, 그들의 왕들은 너를 섬기리라. 이는 나의 진노 가운데 내가 너를 쳤으나, 나의 호의 가운데 내가 너에게 자비를 베풀었기 때문이라.

10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favour have I had mercy on thee.

11 그러므로 너의 성문들은 계속해서 열려 있으리라. 그들은 낮에도 밤에도 닫히지 아니하리라. 이는 사람들이 너에게 이방인들의 병력들을 데려오려 함이요, 그들의 왕들이 인도되게 하려 함이라.

11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

12 이는 너를 섬기려 하지 아니하는 민족과 왕국은 망할 것이기 때문이라. 진정 그러한 민족들은 완전히 황폐하게 되리라.

12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

13 레바논의 영광이 너에게로 오리니, 곧 전나무와 소나무와 회양나무가 함께 너에게 오리니, 나의 성소가 있는 곳을 아름답게 하고자 함이라. 그리하여 내가 나의 두 발을 둘 곳을 영광스럽게 만들겠노라.

13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.

14 또한 너를 괴롭혔던 자들의 아들들은 몸을 구부린 채 너에게로 나아오리라. 그리고 너를 멸시하였던 자들이 모두 너의 두 발바닥 아래 자신들의 몸을 숙여 절할 것이요, 그들은 너를 “주의 도성이요, 이스라엘의 거룩하신 분의 시온”이라 부르리라.

14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

15 네가 버림을 받고 증오를 받아 아무도 너를 통과하지 않았던 반면, 나는 너를 영존하는 탁월함이요, 많은 세대들의 즐거움으로 삼겠노라.

15 Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

16 너는 또한 이방인들의 젖을 빨 것이요, 왕들의 젖가슴을 빨리라. 그리하여 나, 주가 너의 구원자요, 너의 구속주요, 야곱의 막강한 이라는 것을 네가 알게 되리라.

16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

17 나는 놋 대신에 금을 가져오겠고, 철 대신에 은을 가져오겠으며, 목재 대신에 놋을, 돌들 대신에 철을 가져오겠노라. 나는 또한 너의 관원들을 화평으로 삼고, 너의 징수원들을 의로 삼겠노라.

17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness.

18 폭력이 너의 영토 안에서 더 이상 들리지 아니할 것이요, 황폐함과 멸망도 너의 경계들 안에서 더 이상 들리지 아니하리라. 그러나 너는 너의 성벽들을 구원이라 부르고 너의 대문들을 찬송이라 부르리라.

18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.

19 해가 더 이상 낮 동안 너의 빛이 되지 아니하리라. 달도 너에게 광명을 위한 빛을 주지 아니하리라. 오직 주가 너에게 영원한 빛이 될 것이요, 너의 하나님이 너의 영광이 되리라.

19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

20 너의 해가 더 이상 지지 아니할 것이요, 너의 달도 스스로 물러나지 아니하리라. 이는 주가 너의 영원한 빛이 될 것이요, 너의 애곡하는 날들이 끝날 것이기 때문이라.

20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

21 또한 너의 백성이 전부 의로우리라. 그들은 영원토록 토지를 상속하리니, 그들은 내가 영화롭게 되기 위하여 내가 심은 가지요, 내 두 손이 지은 것이라.

21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

22 어린것 한 명이 일천 명이 될 것이요, 작은 자 한 명이 강한 민족이 되리라. 나, 주가 그의 때에 그것을 서두를 것이라.

22 A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
