1 주 하나님의 영께서 제게 임하셨나이다. 이는 주께서 온유한 자들에게 좋은 소식들을 선포하시기 위하여 저에게 기름을 부으셨기 때문이니이다. 그분께서 저를 보내신 것은 상한 마음이 된 자들을 싸매고 포로들에게는 자유를, 결박된 자들에게는 감옥으로부터 놓임을 공포하게 하려 하심이라.

1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 주의 기꺼이 받으시는 해와 우리 하나님의 복수의 날을 공포하고, 애곡하는 모든 자들을 위로하게 하려 하심이며,

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 시온에서 애곡하는 자들을 정해주고, 그들에게 재들 대신 아름다움을 주며, 애곡 대신 즐거움의 기름을 주고, 수심의 영 대신 찬송의 의복을 주게 하려 하심이라. 이는 그들이 의의 나무들이자, 주께서 심으신 것이라 불리게 하려 하심이요, 그분께서 영화롭게 되려 하심이라.

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

4 ¶ 그리고 그들은 오래된 불모지들을 세울 것이요, 그들은 이전의 황무지들을 일으켜 세울 것이요, 그들은 황량한 도시들과 많은 세대들의 황무지들을 보수하리라.

4 ¶ And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5 그리하면 타국인들이 서서 너희 양 떼들을 먹일 것이요, 외지인의 아들들은 너희의 밭을 가는 자들과 너희의 포도원지기들이 되리라.

5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6 그러나 너희는 주의 제사장들로 이름을 얻을 것이라. 사람들이 너희를 우리 하나님의 사역자들이라 부르리라. 너희가 이방인들의 재물들을 먹을 것이요, 너희는 그들의 영광 가운데서 스스로를 자랑하리라.

6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

7 ¶ 너희는 너희의 수치를 대신하여 두 배로 받을 것이요, 그들은 당혹감 대신에 그들의 몫을 크게 기뻐하리라. 그러므로 그들이 자신들의 토지 안에서 두 배를 소유할 것이요, 영원한 즐거움이 그들에게 있으리라.

7 ¶ For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

8 이는 나, 주가 공의를 사랑하고, 내가 번제물을 위한 강도 짓을 증오하기 때문이라. 그런즉 내가 진리 안에서 그들의 일을 인도하겠고, 나는 그들과 영원한 언약을 맺겠노라.

8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 그리고 그들의 씨가 이방인들 사이에 알려질 것이요, 그들의 후예가 백성 가운데 알려지리라. 그들을 보는 모든 자가 그들을 인정하리니, 그들이 주께서 복을 주신 씨라는 것을 인정하리라.

9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

10 내가 주를 대단히 크게 기뻐하겠노라. 나의 혼이 나의 하나님으로 인하여 즐거움으로 충만하리라. 이는 그분께서 나를 구원의 의복들로 입히셨기 때문이라. 그분께서 나를 의의 예복으로 덮으셨으니, 신랑이 장식품들로 자신을 꾸미듯이, 신부가 그녀의 보석 장식들로 자신을 단장하듯이 하셨도다.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 이는 마치 땅이 그녀의 싹을 내는 것 같고, 정원이 그것 안에 뿌려진 것들을 돋아나게 하는 것 같기 때문이라. 그렇게 하여 주 하나님께서 의와 찬송을 모든 민족들 앞에서 돋아나게 하시리라.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
