요한일서 5장
1 누구든지 예수님께서 그리스도이심을 믿는 자는 하나님께로부터 태어난 것이라. 그리고 낳으신 그분을 사랑하는 모든 자마다 그분께로부터 태어난 자도 사랑하느니라.
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 이로써 우리는 우리가 하나님의 자녀들을 사랑하는 것을 아노니, 우리가 하나님을 사랑하고 그분의 명령들을 지킬 때라.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3 이는 이것이 하나님의 사랑이기 때문이니, 우리가 그분의 명령들을 지키는 것이라. 그리고 그분의 명령들은 가혹하지 아니하도다.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 이는 무엇이든지 하나님께로부터 태어난 것은 세상을 이기기 때문이라. 그리고 이것이 세상을 이기는 승리니, 바로 우리의 믿음이라.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 예수님께서 하나님의 아들이심을 믿는 자 외에 세상을 이기는 자가 누구냐?
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 이분은 물과 피를 통하여 오신 분이시니, 바로 예수 그리스도시라. 물로만이 아니요, 오히려 물과 피로 오셨느니라. 그런즉 증거하시는 분은 성령이시니, 성령께서 진리이시기 때문이라.
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7 이는 하늘에서 증거하시는 세 분이 계시니, 아버지와 말씀과 성령님이시며 이 세 분은 하나이시기 때문이라.
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 그리고 땅에서 증거하는 셋이 있으니, 성령과 물과 피며 이 셋은 하나 안에서 일치하느니라.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
9 우리가 사람들의 증거를 받아들일진대 하나님의 증거는 더 위대하도다. 이는 이것이 그분께서 그분의 아들에 관하여 증언하신 하나님의 증거이기 때문이라.
9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 하나님의 아들을 믿는 자는 자기 안에 그 증거가 있느니라. 하나님을 믿지 아니하는 자는 그분을 거짓말쟁이로 만들었느니라. 이는 하나님께서 그분의 아들에 관하여 주신 확증을 그가 믿지 아니하였기 때문이라.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 그리고 이것이 그 확증이니, 하나님께서 우리에게 영생을 주셨다는 것이요, 이 생명이 그분의 아들 안에 있다는 것이라.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12 아들이 있는 자는 생명이 있고 하나님의 아들이 없는 자는 생명이 없느니라.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 내가 이런 것들을 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿는 너희에게 기록하였으니, 너희로 하여금 너희에게 영생이 있음을 알게 하려는 것이요, 너희가 하나님의 아들의 이름을 믿게 하려는 것이라.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 그런즉 이것이 우리가 그분 안에 가지는 확신이니, 만일 우리가 그분의 뜻에 따라 어떤 것이든지 구한다면 그분께서 우리의 말을 들으신다는 것이라.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 그리고 만일 우리가 무엇을 구하든지 그분께서 우리의 말을 들으시는 줄 우리가 안다면 우리가 그분께 간절히 바라는 청원들을 우리가 얻는 줄도 우리가 아느니라.
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
16 누구든 자기 형제가 사망에 이르지 않는 죄를 짓는 것을 본다면 그는 하나님께 구할지니, 그리하면 그분께서 사망에 이르지 않는 죄를 지은 자들을 위하여 그에게 생명을 주시리라. 사망에 이르는 죄가 있으나 나는 그가 그것을 위하여 기도해야 한다고 말하지 아니하노라.
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 모든 불의가 죄니라. 그런데 사망에 이르지 아니하는 죄가 있느니라.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
18 우리가 아노니, 누구든지 하나님께로부터 난 자는 죄를 짓지 아니하느니라. 그러나 하나님께로부터 태어난 자는 스스로를 지키며 그 사악한 자가 그를 건드리지 아니하느니라.
18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
19 그런즉 우리가 하나님께 속해 있고 온 세상은 사악함 가운데 놓여 있음을 우리가 아느니라.
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 또한 하나님의 아들이 오셔서 우리에게 명철을 주신 것을 우리가 아노니, 우리로 하여금 참되신 분을 알게 하려 하심이요, 우리가 참되신 분 안에 있다는 것, 곧 그분의 아들 예수 그리스도 안에 있다는 것을 알게 하려 하심이라. 이분은 참 하나님이시요, 영생이시라.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
21 어린 자녀들아, 우상들로부터 너희 자신들을 지키라. 아멘.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
