마태복음 9장

1 이후에 그분께서 선박 안으로 들어가셨고 바다를 넘어가시어 자기 자신의 도시에 이르셨더라.

1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.

2 그러자 보라, 그들이 중풍을 앓는 남자를 침상에 누워 있는 채로 그분께 데려왔더라. 이에 예수님께서 그들의 믿음을 보시어 그 중풍병 환자에게 말씀하시기를, “아들아, 좋은 기운을 내라. 너에게서 너의 죄들이 용서되기를 바라노라.” 하셨느니라.

2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

3 그런데 보라, 어떤 서기관들이 자기들 속으로 말하기를, ‘이 사람이 신성 모독을 하는도다.’ 하였더라.

3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.

4 이에 예수님께서 그들의 생각들을 아시며 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “어찌 너희는 너희 마음속으로 악을 생각하느냐?

4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?

5 그런즉 ‘너의 죄들이 너에게서 용서되기를 바라노라.’하고 말하는 것이나, ‘일어나서 걸으라.’하고 말하는 것 중 어느 쪽이 더 쉽겠느냐?

5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

6 그러나 이는 인자가 땅에서 죄들을 용서하는 권능을 가지고 있음을 너희로 하여금 알게 하려 함이라. (그때 그분께서 중풍병 환자에게 말씀하시기를,) 일어나 너의 침상을 들고 너의 집으로 가라.”

6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

7 그러자 그가 일어나서 자기 집으로 떠났더라.

7 And he arose, and departed to his house.

8 그러나 무리들이 그것을 보았을 때 그들은 놀라워하였으며 사람들에게 그러한 권능을 주신 하나님께 영광을 돌렸더라.

8 But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

9 ¶ 이후에 예수님께서 거기를 나와서 지나가시는 동안 그분께서 마태란 이름으로 불리는 남자가 관세를 받는 곳에 앉아 있는 것을 보셨더라. 그러자 그분께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “나를 따르라.” 하시니라. 그러자 그가 일어나서 그분을 따랐더라.

9 ¶ And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

10 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 예수님께서 그 집 안에 앉아 식사하고 계셨을 때, 보라, 많은 세리들과 죄인들이 왔으며 그분과 그분의 제자들 곁에 앉았더라.

10 ¶ And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 이에 바리새파 사람들이 그것을 보자 그들이 그분의 제자들에게 말하기를, “어찌하여 너희 스승이 세리들과 죄인들과 함께 먹느냐?” 하였더라.

11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12 그러나 예수님께서 그것을 들으셨을 때, 그분께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “온전한 자들은 의사가 필요하지 아니하나 병든 자들은 필요하니라.

12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13 오히려 너희는 가서 ‘내가 자비를 원하고 희생 제물을 원하지 아니하리라.’ 하는 그 말이 무엇을 의미하는지 배우라. 이는 내가 의로운 자들을 부르러 온 것이 아니요, 다만 죄인들을 불러 회개에 이르게 하려고 온 것이기 때문이라.”

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

14 ¶ 그때 요한의 제자들이 그분께 나아오며 말씀드리기를, “우리와 바리새파 사람들은 자주 금식하는데 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 금식하지 아니하나이까?” 하였더라.

14 ¶ Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15 이에 예수님께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “신랑이 혼인 방의 아이들과 함께 있는 동안 그들이 애곡할 수 있겠느냐? 그러나 그들이 신랑을 빼앗기게 될 날들이 오리니, 그리하면 그때는 그들이 금식하리라.

15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

16 새 옷감에서 난 조각을 오래된 의복에 붙이는 사람은 아무도 없나니, 그것을 메우려고 붙인 것이 그 의복을 당겨서 그 해어짐이 더 악화되기 때문이라.

16 No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

17 또한 새 포도즙을 오래된 부대들에 넣는 사람들은 아무도 없느니라. 그렇게 하면 부대들이 터지고 포도즙이 흘러나와서 그 부대들도 망가지느니라. 오히려 그들은 새 포도즙을 새 부대들에 담나니 그리하면 둘 다 보존되느니라.”

17 Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

18 ¶ 보라, 그분께서 그들에게 이것들을 전하시는 동안 어떤 치리자 한 명이 와서 그분께 경배하며 말씀드리기를, “제 딸이 방금 죽었나이다. 그러나 오셔서 당신의 손을 그녀에게 얹어 주소서. 그리하면 그녀가 살아나리이다.” 하였더라.

18 ¶ While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

19 그러자 예수님께서 일어나셔서 그를 따라가셨으며, 그분의 제자들도 이와 같이 하였더라.

19 And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

20 ¶ 그런데 보라, 십이 년간 피가 유출되는 질병을 앓던 여자가 그분의 뒤로 와서 그분의 의복의 옷단을 만졌더라.

20 ¶ And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

21 이는 그녀가 자기 속으로 말하기를, ‘내가 그분의 의복을 만지기만 할지라도 나는 온전해지리라.’ 하였기 때문이라.

21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

22 그러나 예수님께서는 친히 돌아서셨고, 그분께서 그녀를 보셨을 때 친히 말씀하시기를, “딸아, 훌륭한 위로를 받으라. 너의 믿음이 너를 온전하게 하였느니라.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그 여자가 그 시각부터 온전하게 되었더라.

22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

23 그런 다음에 예수님께서 그 치리자의 집으로 들어가시어 음유 시인들과 떠들썩한 백성을 보셨더라.

23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

24 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “물러나라. 이는 그 여자아이가 죽은 것이 아니라 자고 있을 뿐이기 때문이라.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그들이 그분을 경멸하여 비웃더라.

24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

25 그러나 백성이 밖으로 내보내진 후에 그분께서 들어가서 그녀를 손으로 잡으셨더라. 그러자 그 여자아이가 일어났더라.

25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

26 이에 여기서 생긴 명성이 그 지역 전체에 널리 퍼져 나갔더라.

26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.

27 ¶ 그런데 예수님께서 거기를 떠나실 때, 두 명의 눈먼 사람들이 그분을 따라와서 소리치며 말씀드리기를, “다윗의 자손이신 당신이여, 우리에게 자비를 베푸소서.” 하였더라.

27 ¶ And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

28 그러고 나서 그분께서 그 집 안으로 들어가시자 그 눈먼 사람들이 그분께로 왔더라. 이에 예수님께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “너희는 내가 능히 이것을 행할 줄 믿느냐?” 하시니라. 그들이 그분께 말씀드리기를, “예, 주여.” 하였더라.

28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

29 그때 그분께서 그들의 눈을 만지며 말씀하시기를, “너희의 믿음대로 그것이 너희에게 이루어지기를 바라노라.” 하셨느니라.

29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

30 그러자 그들의 눈이 열렸더라. 이에 예수님께서는 그들에게 엄하게 명하며 말씀하시기를, “아무에게도 그것을 알리지 않도록 주의하라.” 하셨느니라.

30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

31 그러나 그들이 떠난 뒤에 그들은 그분의 명성을 그 지방 전체에 널리 퍼뜨렸더라.

31 But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.

32 ¶ 그들이 나갔을 때, 보라, 한 마귀에게 점유되어 말하지 못하는 남자를 그들이 그분께 데려왔더라.

32 ¶ As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33 이에 그 마귀가 쫓겨나자 그 말하지 못하는 자가 말하였더라. 그러자 그 무리들이 놀라워하며 말하기를, “그것은 이스라엘에서 결코 이처럼 보인 적이 없었도다.” 하였더라.

33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

34 그러나 바리새파 사람들이 말하기를, “그가 마귀들의 통치자를 통하여 마귀들을 쫓아내는도다.” 하였더라.

34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

35 그러고 나서 예수님께서 모든 도시들과 촌락들을 돌아다니시면서 그들의 회당들에서 가르치시고 왕국 복음을 선포하시며 백성들 가운데서 모든 병과 모든 질병을 저마다 고쳐주셨느니라.

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 ¶ 그러나 그분께서 무리들을 보셨을 때, 그분께서는 그들에 대한 연민으로 마음이 움직이셨더라. 이는 그들이 지쳤고, 목자 없는 양같이 뿔뿔이 흩어졌기 때문이라.

36 ¶ But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 그때 그분께서 자기 제자들에게 이같이 말씀하시니라. “참으로 수확할 것은 아주 많으나 수고하는 자들이 거의 없도다.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 그러므로 너희는 수확의 주께 기도하여 그분께서 수고하는 자들을 그분의 수확물 가운데로 파송하여 주시기를 구하라.”

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
