1 이제 솔로몬이 기도를 끝마쳤을 때 하늘에서부터 불이 내려왔고 번제물과 희생 제물들을 살랐더라. 그리하여 주의 영광이 집을 가득 채웠더라.
1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.
2 그런즉 주의 영광이 주의 집을 가득 채운 까닭에 제사장들이 주의 집 안으로 들어올 수 없었더라.
2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house.
3 그리고 모든 이스라엘 자녀들이 어떻게 불이 내려와서 주의 영광이 그 집 위에 임하였는지 봤을때 그들이 포장된 길 위에서 자신들의 얼굴을 지면에 대고, 자신들의 몸을 숙여 절하였고 경배하였으며 주를 찬송하며 말하기를, “이는 그분께서 선하시기 때문이요, 그분의 자비가 영원토록 지속되기 때문이니이다.” 하였더라.
3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
4 ¶ 그때 왕과 온 백성이 주 앞에 희생 제물들을 바쳤더라.
4 ¶ Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.
5 그리고 솔로몬왕이 이만 이천 마리의 소들과 십이만 마리의 양들을 희생 제물로 바쳤더라. 그렇게 하여 왕과 모든 백성이 하나님의 집을 봉헌하였더라.
5 And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.
6 그리고 제사장들이 그들의 직책들로 섬겼더라. 레위인들도 주의 음악에 쓰는 악기들로 섬겼으니, 곧 다윗이 그들의 사역을 통하여 찬송하였을 때 그분의 자비가 영원토록 지속됨으로 인하여 다윗왕이 주를 찬송하려고 만들었던 악기들이더라. 그리고 제사장들도 그들 앞에서 나팔들로 소리를 냈으며 온 이스라엘은 서 있었더라.
6 And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
7 이와 더불어 솔로몬이 주의 집 앞에 있었던 뜰의 중심부를 거룩하게 하였더라. 이는 거기에서 그가 번제물들과 화평 제물들의 지방을 바쳤기 때문이요, 솔로몬이 만들었던 놋 제단이 그 번제물들과 음식 제물들과 지방을 수용할 여건이 되지 못한 까닭이라.
7 Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the brasen altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.
8 ¶ 또한 바로 그때에 솔로몬이 칠 일 동안 명절을 지켰으며, 그의 곁에 있는 온 이스라엘도 지켰으니, 곧 하맛으로 들어가는 진입로부터 이집트강에 이르기까지 아주 수많은 회중이 지켰더라.
8 ¶ Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt.
9 그리고 여덟째 날에 그들이 엄숙한 집회를 열었더라. 이는 그들이 칠 일 동안 제단의 봉헌을 지켰고, 또 칠 일 동안 명절을 지켰기 때문이라.
9 And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly: for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.
10 그리고 일곱째 달 이십삼 일에 그가 백성을 그들의 천막들로 돌려보냈으니, 백성은 주께서 다윗에게, 솔로몬에게, 그분의 백성 이스라엘에게 보이신 선하심으로 인하여 마음이 즐겁고 들떠 있었더라.
10 And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that the LORD had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.
11 이와 같이 솔로몬이 주의 집과 왕의 집을 완성하였더라. 그리고 솔로몬의 마음속에 떠올라서 주의 집 안과 자기 자신의 집 안에다 만들려고 한 모든 것을 그가 형통하게 이루었더라.
11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the LORD, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the LORD, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
12 ¶ 이후에 주께서 밤에 솔로몬에게 나타나셨고 그에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “내가 너의 기도를 들었고 이 장소를 나 자신에게 희생 제물의 집으로서 선택하였노라.
12 ¶ And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
13 만일 내가 하늘을 닫아서 비가 없거나, 혹 내가 메뚜기들에게 명령하여 그 지역을 집어삼키라고 하거나, 혹 내가 나의 백성 사이에 역병을 보내면,
13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
14 혹 나의 이름으로 불리는 나의 백성이 스스로 겸손해져서 기도하며 나의 얼굴을 찾고 그들의 사악한 길들을 떠나 돌이킨다면, 그때 내가 하늘에서부터 듣겠고, 그들의 죄를 용서하겠으며, 그들의 지역을 치유하겠노라.
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
15 이제 이곳 안에서 드려지는 기도에 나의 눈들을 열 것이요, 나의 두 귀를 기울이리라.
15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
16 이는 이제 내가 나의 이름이 영원히 거기 있도록 이 집을 선택하여 성결하게 구별하였기 때문이라. 그런즉 나의 눈들과 나의 마음이 거기에 영속적으로 있으리라.
16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
17 그리고 너로 말하자면, 만일 네가 너의 아버지 다윗이 살아갔듯이 내 앞에서 살아가려 하고 내가 너에게 명령한 모든 것대로 실행하며 나의 규례들과 나의 공의로운 법규들을 준수하면,
17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
18 그때 내가 너의 왕국의 보좌를 확고하게 세우겠으니, 내가 너의 아버지 다윗에게 언약하며 말하기를, ‘이스라엘 안에서 치리자가 되는 사람이 하나라도 너에게서 끊기지 아니하리라.’ 한 대로 하겠노라.
18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.
19 그러나 만일 너희가 다른 데로 돌이키고 내가 너희 앞에 세운 나의 규례들과 나의 명령들을 저버리며 가서 다른 신들을 섬기고 그들에게 경배한다면,
19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
20 그때는 내가 그들을 내가 그들에게 준 나의 지역에서 뿌리들째로 뽑아 버리겠노라. 그리고 내가 나의 이름을 위하여 거룩하게 구별한 이 집을 내가 나의 목전에서 던져 버리겠으며 모든 민족들 사이에서 그것을 잠언과 조롱거리로 만들겠노라.
20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.
21 그리고 높이 있는 이 집이 그것 옆으로 지나가는 모든 이에게 저마다 경악 거리가 되리라. 그렇기에 그가 말하기를, ‘어찌하여 주께서 이 지역에, 또 이 집에 이같이 행하셨는가?’ 하리라.
21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and unto this house?
22 그리고 그것이 대답이 되리니, ‘그들이 그들의 조상들의 주 하나님, 곧 그들을 이집트 지역에서 데리고 나오신 분을 저버렸고 다른 신들을 붙잡았으며 그들을 경배하였고 그들을 섬긴 까닭이라. 그러므로 그분께서 이 모든 악을 그들 위에 가져오셨도다.’ 하리라.”
22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.
