히브리서 2장

1 그러므로 우리가 들었던 것들에 대하여 우리가 더 열렬히 관심을 두어야 함이 마땅하니, 어느 때라도 우리가 그것들로 하여금 미끄러져 빠져나가지 않게 하려 함이라.

1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2 이는 천사들에 의해 언급된 말씀이 확고하다면 모든 불법과 불순종마다 공정한 보응의 삯을 받았기 때문이니,

2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

3 우리가 그렇게 위대한 구원을 등한시한다면 어떻게 우리가 피하겠느냐? 이 구원은 먼저 주에 의하여 언급되기 시작하였으며 그분의 말씀을 들은 자들에 의하여 우리에게 확정되었느니라.

3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4 또한 하나님께서 그분 자신의 뜻에 따라 표적들과 이적들로도, 다양한 기적들과 성령님의 은사들로도 그들에게 증거하셨느니라.

4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

5 이는 그분께서 우리가 전하는 다가올 세상을 천사들에게 종속되도록 두지 않으셨기 때문이라.

5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

6 그러나 어떤 곳에선가 한 사람이 이같이 말하면서 증언하였느니라. “사람이 무엇이기에 당신께서 그를 유념하시나이까? 아니면 사람의 아들이 무엇이기에 당신께서는 그를 찾아오시나이까?

6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

7 당신께서 그를 천사들보다 조금 낮게 만드셨나이다. 당신께서 그를 영광과 존귀로 왕관을 씌우셨으며 당신의 두 손의 작품들 위에 그를 세우셨나이다.

7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

8 당신께서는 모든 것들을 그의 발아래에 놓으시어 복종하게 하셨나이다.” 이는 그분께서 모든 것을 그의 아래에 놓으시어 복종하게 하셨기 때문에, 그분은 그의 아래 놓지 않으신 것은 아무것도 남기지 않으셨느니라. 그러나 지금 우리는 아직 모든 것들이 그의 아래 놓인 것을 보지 아니하는도다.

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

9 그러나 우리가 예수님을 보나니, 그분께서는 죽음의 수난을 당하시려고 천사들보다 조금 낮게 되셨고 영광과 존귀로 왕관을 받으셨으니, 하나님의 은혜로 그분께서 각 사람 모두를 위하여 죽음을 맛보려 하심이라.

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10 이는 모든 것들이 자신을 위하여 존재하게 하시고 모든 것들을 자신에 의하여 존재하게 하시는 그분께는, 많은 아들들을 영광으로 데려가시는 일에 있어서, 그들의 구원의 대장을 수난들을 통해 완전하게 하시는 것이 합당했기 때문이라.

10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

11 이는 성결하게 구별하시는 분도 성결하게 구별된 자들도 모두 하나에서 나오기 때문이라. 이런 까닭에 그분께서는 그들을 형제들이라고 부르는 것을 부끄러워하지 아니하시며,

11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

12 말씀하시기를, “제가 당신의 이름을 저의 형제들에게 분명하게 밝히겠으며, 제가 교회 한가운데서 당신께 찬송을 부르겠나이다.” 하시며,

12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

13 또다시 “내가 나의 신뢰를 그분께 두겠노라.” 하시고, 또다시 “하나님께서 나에게 주신 자녀들과 나를 보라.” 하시느니라.

13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

14 그런즉 자녀들이 살과 피에 참여하는 자들인 고로 그분께서도 친히 이와 같이 동일한 속성을 취하셨느니라. 이는 그분께서 죽음을 통하여 죽음의 권능을 가진 자, 곧 마귀를 멸하려 하심이요,

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 죽음을 두려워함으로 인하여 자신들의 전 생애 동안 속박되어 종속된 자들을 구출하려 하심이라.

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

16 이는 진실로 그분께서 친히 천사들의 본성을 취하지 않으셨고, 오히려 그분께서 친히 아브라함의 씨를 취하셨기 때문이라.

16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

17 이런 이유로 모든 것들에서 자신의 형제들같이 되는 것이 그분께 필연적이었으니, 그분께서는 하나님께 속한 일들에 있어 자비로우시고 신실하신 대제사장이 되시어 백성의 죄들로 인하여 화해를 이루려 하신 것이라.

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

18 이는 자신이 몸소 시험받아 수난을 겪으셨으므로 그분께서는 시험받는 자들을 구하실 수 있기 때문이라.

18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
