히브리서 5장

1 이는 사람들 사이에서 취함 받은 모든 대제사장마다 하나님께 속한 일들에서 사람들을 위하여 임명되었기 때문이니, 그로 하여금 죄들로 인하여 예물들과 희생 제물들 모두를 바치게 하려 함이라.

1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

2 그는 무지한 자들과 길에서 벗어난 자들에게 연민을 가질 수 있느니라. 이는 그 자신도 연약함으로 둘러싸여 있기 때문이라.

2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

3 그리하여 이런 이유로 그가 백성을 위한 것과 마찬가지로 자신을 위해서도 죄들로 말미암아 제물들을 바쳐야 함이 마땅하니라.

3 And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

4 그리고 아무도 이 영예를 스스로 취하지 못하나니, 다만 아론이 그랬던 것처럼 하나님께로부터 부르심을 받은 자라야 하느니라.

4 And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

5 그처럼 그리스도 역시 대제사장이 되시고자 스스로를 영광스럽게 하지 않으셨느니라. 다만 그분께 말씀하신 분께서 영광스럽게 하시며, “너는 내 아들이라. 오늘 내가 너를 낳았노라.” 하셨느니라.

5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6 그분께서 다른 부분에서도 말씀하시기를, “너는 영원토록 멜키세덱의 계열에 따른 한 제사장이라.” 하시는 것과 같으니라.

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

7 그분께서 자신의 육체에 속한 날들에 친히 자신을 죽음에서 구원하실 수 있는 분께 격한 울음과 눈물들로 기도들과 간구들을 올려 드리셨으니, 그분께서 두려워하셨으므로 응답받으셨느니라.

7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8 비록 그분께서는 한 아들이시지만 그럼에도 그분께서는 자신이 수난을 겪은 일들로 인하여 순종을 배우셨느니라.

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

9 그리하여 완전하게 되셨으니, 그분께서는 자신에게 순종하는 자들 모두에게 영존하는 구원의 창시자가 되셨고

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

10 하나님께 멜키세덱의 계열에 따른 대제사장으로 부르심을 받았느니라.

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

11 멜키세덱에 관해서는 우리가 말할 것들이 많이 있으나 너희가 듣는 데 둔한 것을 알기에 말로 표현하기가 어려우니라.

11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

12 이는 시간상 너희가 마땅히 선생들이 되어야 할 때인데, 하나님의 신탁의 말씀들의 기본 원칙들을 누군가 너희에게 다시 가르칠 필요가 있기 때문이라. 그런즉 너희는 젖을 필요로 하는 자들같이 되었으며, 단단한 음식을 필요로 하는 자들같이 되지는 아니하였느니라.

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 이는 젖을 사용하는 자마다 의의 말씀에 능숙하지 않기 때문이니, 그가 아기이기 때문이라.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 그러나 단단한 음식은 장성한 나이에 이른 자들에게 속해 있나니, 곧 그들은 말씀을 사용함으로써 자신들의 감각들이 단련되도록 하여 선악을 둘 다 분별하는 자들이라.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
