히브리서 8장

1 이제 우리가 언급한 것들 중 이것이 요점이라. 우리가 이러한 대제사장을 두었으니, 그분은 하늘들에서 존엄하신 분의 보좌 오른편에 앉아 계시느니라.

1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

2 그분은 성소에서와 참된 성막에서 섬기는 분이시니, 그 성막은 주께서 치신 것이요, 사람이 친 것이 아니니라.

2 A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

3 이는 모든 대제사장마다 예물들과 희생 제물들을 바치도록 선임되었기 때문이라. 이런 이유로 이 사람도 바칠 무언가를 가지고 있는 것이 필요하도다.

3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.

4 이는 만일 그분께서 지상에 계신다면, 그분께서 제사장이 되지 못하셨을 것이니, 율법에 따라 예물들을 바치는 제사장들이 있기 때문이라.

4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

5 그 제사장들은 하늘에 있는 것들의 본보기와 그림자를 섬기니, 마치 모세가 장막을 만들려고 했을 때 하나님의 권고를 받았던 것과 같도다. 이는 그분께서 말씀하시기를, “보라, 너는 그 산속에서 너에게 보여 준 그 양식을 따라 모든 것들을 만들라.” 하시기 때문이라.

5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

6 그러나 이제 그분께서 더 탁월한 사역을 얻어 내셨으며 또한 그분께서 그만큼 더 좋은 언약의 중재자이시니, 그것은 더 좋은 약속들 위에 확립된 것이라.

6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

7 이는 만일 그 첫 언약이 무결하였더라면 그때는 둘째 것을 모색할 여지가 전혀 없었으리라.

7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

8 이는 그분께서 그들에게서 결함을 발견하시고 이같이 말씀하시기 때문이라. “주가 말하노라. 보라, 그날들이 오나니, 내가 이스라엘 집과 유다 집과 더불어 새 언약을 체결할 때라.

8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

9 이는 내가 그들의 조상들을 손으로 붙들고 이집트 지역 밖으로 그들을 이끌고 나오던 때인 그날에 내가 그들과 더불어 맺은 그 언약에 따른 것이 아니니라. 이는 그들이 나의 언약 가운데 계속 있지 아니하여 내가 그들을 유념하지 않았기 때문이라. 주가 말하노라.

9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

10 이는 이것이 내가 그날들 이후에 이스라엘 집과 더불어 체결할 언약이기 때문이라. 주가 말하노라. 내가 나의 법들을 그들의 생각 속에 두고 그들의 마음속에 그것들을 기록하리라. 그리하여 나는 그들에게 한 하나님이 될 것이며 그들은 나에게 한 백성이 되리라.

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 그리고 그들이 말하기를, ‘주를 알라.’ 하면서 각 사람마다 자기 이웃을 가르치는 일이 없을 것이며 각 사람마다 자기 형제를 가르치는 일도 없으리라. 이는 가장 낮은 자부터 가장 위대한 자까지 모두 나를 알게 될 것이기 때문이라.

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

12 이는 내가 그들의 불의에 자비를 베풀 것이기 때문이라. 그리하여 그들의 죄들과 그들의 죄악들을 더 이상 내가 기억하지 않겠노라.”

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

13 그분께서 “새 언약”이라고 말씀하신 점에서 그분이 첫째 것을 옛 것으로 만드신 것이라. 이제 쇠퇴하고 낡아지는 것은 곧 자취를 감추려 하는도다.

13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
