로마서 10장

1 형제들아, 나의 마음의 열망과 이스라엘을 위하여 하나님께 드리는 기도는 그들이 구원을 받게 되는 것이라.

1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

2 이는 내가 그들에 대해 확증하노니, 그들이 하나님께 대한 열심이 있으나 지식에 따른 것은 아니기 때문이라.

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 이는 그들이 하나님의 의에 대하여 무지한 채 그들 자신들의 의를 확고히 세우려고 공들이면서도, 하나님의 의에는 스스로 복종하지 않았기 때문이라.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 이는 그리스도께서 믿는 모든 자에게 저마다 의를 위한 율법의 종결이 되시기 때문이라.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

5 이는 모세가 율법에서 나오는 의를 묘사하기를, “그것들을 행하는 사람은 그것들로 인하여 살리라.” 하기 때문이라.

5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

6 그러나 믿음에서 나오는 의는 이런 식으로 말하느니라. “너의 마음속에 말하기를, ‘누가 하늘 속으로 올라갈 것인가?’ 하지 말라. (그것은 그리스도를 위로부터 끌어 내리려는 것이라.)

6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)

7 혹은 ‘누가 깊음 속으로 내려갈 것인가?’ 하지 말라.” (그것은 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 다시 끌어올리려는 것이라.)

7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

8 그러나 그것이 무엇을 말하느냐? “말씀이 너에게 가까이 있으니, 바로 너의 입안에 있으며 너의 마음속에 있도다.” 하니, 곧 우리가 선포하는 믿음의 말씀이라.

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 네가 만일 너의 입으로 주 예수를 시인하고 하나님께서 그분을 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 것을 너의 마음속에 믿는다면, 너는 구원을 받으리라.

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 이는 사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르게 되기 때문이라.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 이는 성경 기록이 이르기를, “누구든지 그분을 믿는 자는 부끄러워하지 아니하리라.” 하시기 때문이라.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12 이는 유대인과 헬라인 사이에 차이가 없기 때문이니, 모든 사람들 위에 계신 동일한 주께서 그분을 부르는 모든 사람들에게 부요하시기 때문이라.

12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13 이는 누구든지 주의 이름을 부를 자는 구원받을 것이기 때문이라.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

14 그렇다면 그들이 믿지 아니한 분을 어떻게 그들이 부르겠느냐? 또한 그들이 들어 보지 못한 분을 어떻게 그들이 믿겠느냐? 또한 선포자 한 명도 없이 어떻게 그들이 듣겠느냐?

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 또한 그들이 보내심을 받지 않았는데 어떻게 그들이 선포하겠느냐? 기록된 바와 같으니, “화평의 복음을 선포하고 좋은 것들의 반가운 소식들을 가져오는 발은 얼마나 아름다운가!” 하였도다.

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 그러나 그들 모두가 복음에 순종하지는 아니하였도다. 이는 이사-야가 말하기를, “주여, 우리가 알린 것을 누가 믿었나이까?” 하기 때문이라.

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 그렇기에 믿음은 들음에 의해서 오며, 들음은 하나님의 말씀에 의해서 오느니라.

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

18 그러나 내가 말하노라. “그들이 듣지 아니하였느냐?” 진실로 들었도다. 그들의 소리가 온 땅으로 퍼져 나갔고 그들의 말들이 세상의 끝들에까지 이르렀도다.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

19 그러나 내가 말하노라. “이스라엘이 몰랐느냐?” 우선 모세가 말하기를, “전혀 백성이 아닌 자들로 내가 너희에게 질투를 일으키겠노라. 그리고 한 어리석은 민족으로 내가 너희를 분노하게 하겠노라.” 하니라.

19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.

20 다만, 이사-야는 매우 담대하여 말하기를, “내가 나를 찾지 않던 자들에게 발견되었노라. 내가 나에 대해 묻지 않던 자들에게 명백하게 드러났노라.” 하니라.

20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.

21 그러나 이스라엘에게는 그가 말하기를, “내가 불순종하고 반발하는 백성에게 하루 온종일 나의 두 손을 앞으로 뻗었느니라.” 하니라.

21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
