누가복음 20장

1 그리고 그 당시의 어느 날 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 성전에서 백성을 가르치시고 복음을 선포하시는 동안 수석 제사장들과 서기관들이 장로들과 함께 그분께 찾아왔으며

1 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

2 그분께 고하여 말씀드리기를, “우리에게 말하라. 당신은 무슨 권위로 이런 일들을 행하는가? 또는 당신에게 이 권위를 준 자가 누구인가?” 하였더라.

2 And spake unto him, saying, Tell us, by what authority doest thou these things? or who is he that gave thee this authority?

3 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 대답하여 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “나도 그대들에게 한 가지 묻겠노라. 그런즉 나에게 대답하라.

3 And he answered and said unto them, I will also ask you one thing; and answer me:

4 요한의 침례, 그것은 하늘로부터 온 것이었느냐, 아니면 사람들에게서 온 것이었느냐?”

4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?

5 그러자 그들이 자기들끼리 논의하며 이같이 말하였더라. “만일 우리가 ‘하늘로부터’라고 말한다면, 그가 말하기를, ‘그렇다면 너희는 어찌하여 그를 믿지 아니하였느냐?’ 할 것이라.

5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?

6 이에 반해 만일 우리가 ‘사람들로부터’라고 말한다면, 모든 백성이 우리를 돌로 치리라. 이는 그들이 요한이 예언자였다고 확신을 갖게 되었기 때문이라.”

6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

7 그러자 그들은 그것이 어디에서 왔는지 자신들은 알려 줄 수 없다고 대답하였더라.

7 And they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.

8 이에 예수님께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “나도 너희에게 무슨 권위로 내가 이런 것들을 행하는지 알려 주지 아니하노라.” 하셨느니라.

8 And Jesus said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

9 그때 그분께서 백성에게 이 비유를 말씀하기 시작하셨더라. “어떤 남자 한 명이 포도원을 세웠는데 그것을 농부들에게 세로 내어 주고 오랜 시간 동안 어떤 먼 나라로 들어갔느니라.

9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into a far country for a long time.

10 그리고 그 시기에 그가 농부들에게 한 종을 보냈으니, 그들로 하여금 그에게 포도원의 열매를 주도록 하려 함이었노라. 그러나 농부들이 그를 때렸으며 그를 빈손으로 돌려보냈느니라.

10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.

11 그러자 다시금 그는 또 다른 종을 보냈노라. 그런데 그들이 그도 때렸고 그에게 수치스러운 처우를 하였으며 그를 빈손으로 돌려보냈느니라.

11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.

12 이에 다시금 그는 세 번째 종을 보냈노라. 그런데 그들이 그에게도 상처를 입혔으며 그를 쫓아냈느니라.

12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out.

13 그때 포도원의 소유주가 말하기를, ‘내가 무엇을 하리오? 내가 나의 사랑을 받는 아들을 보내겠노라. 그들이 그를 본다면 그들은 아마 그를 경외하리라.’ 하였노라.

13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see him.

14 그러나 농부들이 그를 보자 그들은 자기들끼리 논의하며 말하기를, ‘이 자가 상속자구나. 오라, 그 유산이 우리의 것이 되도록 우리가 그를 죽이자.’ 하였느니라.

14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

15 그렇게 하여 그들이 그를 포도원 밖으로 쫓아내서 그를 죽였도다. 그러므로 포도원의 소유주가 그들에게 무엇을 하겠느냐?

15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?

16 그가 와서 이 농부들을 멸할 것이요, 다른 이들에게 포도원을 줄 것이라.” 그러자 그들이 그것을 들었을 때 그들은 말하기를, “하나님께서 금하시기를 바라나이다.” 하였더라.

16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

17 이에 그분께서 그들을 보셨으며 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “그렇다면 ‘건축자들이 거절한 돌, 바로 그것이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되나이다.’라고 기록된 이것은 무엇이냐?

17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

18 누구든지 그 돌 위에 떨어지는 자는 부서질 것이나 누구에게든지 그 돌이 떨어지게 되면 그것이 그를 잘게 가루로 부수리라.”

18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

19 ¶ 그러자 수석 제사장들과 서기관들이 바로 그 시각에 그분께 손을 대려고 하였으나 그들이 백성을 두려워하였더라. 이는 그들이 그분께서 자신들을 대적하여 이 비유를 말씀하신 것을 알아차렸기 때문이라.

19 ¶ And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

20 이후에 그들이 그분을 지켜보다가 정탐꾼들을 파견하여 그들로 하여금 자신들을 의인들로 가장하게 하였더라. 이는 그분의 말씀들을 책잡아서 총독의 권세와 권위에 넘기려 함이더라.

20 And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.

21 그리하여 그들이 그분께 여쭈며 말씀드리기를, “스승이여, 당신께서 올바르게 말씀하시고 가르치시는 것을 우리가 아나이다. 또한 당신께서 누구도 외모로 받아들이지 아니하시고 다만 하나님의 길을 참되게 가르치시는 것을 아나이다.

21 And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of God truly:

22 카이사르에게 공세를 내는 것이 우리에게 합법적이니이까? 아니면 그렇지 않나이까?” 하였더라.

22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute unto Caesar, or no?

23 그러나 그분께서 그들의 간사함을 아시고 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “어찌하여 너희는 나를 시험하느냐?

23 But he perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

24 나에게 페니¹⁰ 한 닢을 보이라. 누구의 형상과 상부 표기가 그것에 있느냐?” 그들이 대답하여 말씀드리기를, “카이사르의 것이니이다.” 하였더라.

24 Shew me a penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's.

25 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “그러므로 카이사르에게 속한 것들은 카이사르에게 돌려주고 하나님께 속한 것들은 하나님께 돌려드리라.” 하셨더라.

25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.

26 이에 그들은 백성 앞에서 그분의 말씀들에 관하여 책잡을 수가 없었고 그들이 그분의 대답에 놀라워하였으며 자신들의 침묵을 지켰더라.

26 And they could not take hold of his words before the people: and they marvelled at his answer, and held their peace.

27 ¶ 그때 사두개파 사람들 중 어떤 이들이 그분께 왔는데, 그들은 어떤 부활이라도 있다는 것을 부인하는 자들이더라. 그리하여 그들이 그분께 여쭈며

27 ¶ Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him,

28 이같이 말씀드렸더라. “스승이여, 모세가 우리에게 기록하기를, ‘만일 어떤 남자의 형제가 한 아내를 둔 채 죽었는데 그가 자식들 없이 죽었다면, 그의 형제가 그의 아내를 취하여 그의 형제에게 씨를 일으켜 세울지니라.’ 하였나이다.

28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

29 그러므로 일곱 형제가 있었는데 첫째가 한 아내를 취하였다가 자식들 없이 죽었나이다.

29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.

30 이어서 둘째도 그녀를 아내로 취하였으나 그가 자식 없이 죽었나이다.

30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.

31 이어서 셋째도 그녀를 취하였고, 일곱 명이 또한 이와 같은 방식으로 그녀를 취하였나이다. 그런데도 그들은 자식들을 전혀 남기지 않고 죽었나이다.

31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.

32 최후에는 그 여자 역시 죽었나이다.

32 Last of all the woman died also.

33 그러므로 부활 때에는 그녀가 그들 중 누구의 아내이옵니까? 이는 일곱 명이 그녀를 아내로 취하였기 때문이니이다.”

33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.

34 그러자 예수님께서 그들에게 대답하며 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “이 세상의 자녀들은 장가도 가고 시집도 가나,

34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:

35 저세상과 죽은 자들로부터의 부활을 획득할 자격이 있는 것으로 간주될 자들은 장가가지도 시집가지도 아니하느니라.

35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 또한 그들은 더 이상 죽을 수도 없으니, 그들이 천사들과 동등하며 부활의 자식들이자 하나님의 자식들이기 때문이라.

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

37 이제 죽은 자들이 일으켜진다는 것은 심지어 모세도 떨기나무에서 보여 주었나니, 그가 주를, 아브라함의 하나님이요, 이삭의 하나님이요, 야곱의 하나님이라고 불렀을 때라.

37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

38 이는 모두가 그분께는 살아 있으므로 그분께서는 죽은 자들의 하나님이 아니라 오직 살아 있는 자들의 하나님이시기 때문이라.”

38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

39 ¶ 그때 서기관들 중 어떤 이들이 대답하며 말씀드리기를, “스승이여, 당신께서 잘 말씀하셨나이다.” 하였더라.

39 ¶ Then certain of the scribes answering said, Master, thou hast well said.

40 그러자 그 뒤로 그들은 감히 그분께 더 이상 어떠한 질문도 하지 못하였더라.

40 And after that they durst not ask him any question at all.

41 이에 그분께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “어찌 그들이 그리스도가 다윗의 자손이라 말하느냐?

41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

42 그런즉 다윗 본인이 시편들의 책 안에서 이같이 말하느니라. ‘주께서 나의 주께 말씀하시기를, ‘너는 나의 오른편에 앉아 있으라.

42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

43 곧, 내가 너의 원수들을 너의 발등상으로 삼을 때까지라.’ 하셨나이다.’

43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

44 그러므로 다윗이 그를 주라고 부르는데 그렇다면 어찌 그가 그의 자손이 되느냐?”

44 David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

45 ¶ 그때 모든 백성이 경청하는 가운데 그분께서 자신의 제자들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

45 ¶ Then in the audience of all the people he said unto his disciples,

46 “서기관들을 경계하라. 그들은 긴 관복들을 걸치고 다니기를 열망하고, 시장들에서 받는 인사말들을 사랑하며, 회당들에서는 가장 높은 자리들을 사랑하고, 또 잔치들에서는 으뜸가는 좌석들을 사랑하느니라.

46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;

47 그들은 과부들의 집들을 삼키며 보여 주기 위하여 긴 기도들을 만들어 내느니라. 그와 같은 자는 더 심한 영벌의 심판을 받으리라.”

47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.
