누가복음 8장

1 그리고 그 뒤에 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 모든 도시와 촌락마다 구석구석 다니시며 하나님의 왕국의 반가운 소식들을 선포하고 제시하셨더라. 그리고 그분과 함께 열둘이 있었으며,

1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

2 악한 영들과 병약함들에서 치유받은 어떤 여자들이 있었으니, 곧 일곱 마귀들이 그 안에서 나간 막달라인이라고 불리는 마리아와

2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

3 헤롯의 청지기 쿠자의 아내 요안나와 수산나와 그들의 물질로 그분을 섬기는 다른 많은 이들이 있었느니라.

3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

4 ¶ 그리고 많은 백성이 한데 모여 모든 도시에서 저마다 그분께로 나아오자 그분께서 비유로 말씀하셨느니라.

4 ¶ And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

5 “어떤 씨 뿌리는 자가 자신의 씨를 뿌리러 밖으로 나갔더라. 그리고 그가 씨 뿌리는 동안 일부는 길가에 떨어졌는데, 그것이 짓밟히고 공중의 날짐승들이 그것을 삼켜 버렸느니라.

5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

6 그리고 어떤 씨는 바위 위에 떨어졌는데, 그것이 싹을 틔우자마자 그것이 시들어 버렸으니 그것의 수분이 부족하였기 때문이라.

6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

7 그리고 어떤 씨는 가시나무들 사이에 떨어졌는데, 가시나무들이 그 씨와 함께 돋아나서 그것의 성장을 저지하였느니라.

7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

8 그리고 다른 씨들은 좋은 토양에 떨어졌는데 싹을 틔웠고 일백 배의 열매를 맺었느니라.” 그리고 그분께서 이것들을 말씀하신 후에 친히 외치셨더라. “들을 귀들이 있는 자, 그는 들을지어다.”

8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

9 그러자 그분의 제자들이 그분께 여쭈며 말씀드리기를, “이 비유가 무엇이겠나이까?” 하였더라.

9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

10 이에 그분께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “너희에게는 하나님의 왕국 신비들을 알도록 그것이 주어지는도다. 그러나 다른 이들에게는 비유들로 주어졌느니라. 이는 그들이 보아도 보지 못하게 하려 함이요, 그들이 들어도 이해하지 못하게 하려 함이라.

10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

11 이제 그 비유는 이러하도다. 그 씨는 하나님의 말씀이라.

11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

12 길가에 있는 것들은 말씀을 듣는 자들이라. 그러나 그때 마귀가 와서 그들이 믿고 구원받지 못하도록 그들의 마음속에서 그 말씀을 빼앗아 가 버리느니라.

12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

13 바위 위에 있는 것들은 그들이 말씀을 들을 때 그 말씀을 즐거움으로 받아들이는 자들이라. 그런데 이들이 뿌리를 전혀 가지고 있지 않아서 잠시 동안 믿다가 시험의 때에는 떨어져 나가느니라.

13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

14 그리고 가시나무들 사이에 떨어진 것은 그들이 말씀을 들은 후에 나아가다가 이생의 염려들과 재물들과 쾌락들로 인하여 성장이 저지되어 완전함에 이르는 열매를 맺지 못하는 자들이라.

14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

15 그러나 좋은 토양에 떨어진 것은 정직하고 좋은 마음속에 그 말씀을 들은 후 그것을 지키며 인내로 열매를 내는 자들이라.

15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

16 ¶ 아무도 그가 불빛을 밝힌 후에 그것을 그릇으로 덮거나 혹은 그것을 침상 아래에 두지 않느니라. 다만 그것을 등잔대 위에 고정하나니, 안으로 들어오는 자들이 그 빛을 보게 하려 함이라.

16 ¶ No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

17 이는 명백히 드러나지 않을 비밀이 아무것도 없기 때문이라. 또한 어떠한 숨겨진 것도 알려지지 않고 퍼져 나가지 않을 것이 없으리라.

17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

18 그러므로 너희가 어떻게 듣는지 주의하라. 이는 누구든지 가진 자에게는 주어질 것이요, 누구든지 가지지 않은 자에게서는 자신이 가지고 있는 것처럼 보이는 것조차 빼앗길 것이기 때문이라.”

18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

19 ¶ 그때 그분의 어머니와 그분의 형제들이 그분께 당도하였는데 인파로 인하여 그분께 나아가지 못하였더라.

19 ¶ Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

20 그러자 어떤 이들에 의하여 그것이 그분께 알려졌으니 그들이 말씀드리기를, “당신의 어머니와 당신의 형제들이 당신을 보고자 희망하며 밖에 서 계시나이다.” 하였더라.

20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

21 그러자 그분께서 대답하여 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “나의 어머니와 나의 형제들은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 그것을 실행하는 이들이니라.” 하셨느니라.

21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

22 ¶ 이제 어느 날 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 그분의 제자들과 함께 선박 안으로 들어가셨더라. 그러고는 친히 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “우리가 호수 건너편으로 건너가자.” 하셨더라. 이에 그들이 진출해 나갔더라.

22 ¶ Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

23 그러나 그들이 항해하는 동안 그분께서 곤히 잠드셨더라. 그런데 거센 폭풍이 호수에 내리치므로 그들이 물에 잠겨 위태로운 상황에 처하였더라.

23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.

24 이에 그들이 그분께 나아와서 그분을 깨우며 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 스승님, 우리가 죽나이다.” 하였더라. 그때 그분께서 일어나시어 바람과 사납게 몰아치는 물을 꾸짖으셨더라. 그러자 그것들이 그치고 고요함이 임하였더라.

24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

25 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “너희의 믿음이 어디에 있느냐?” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그들이 무서워하고 경이로워하며 말하기를, “이분은 어떤 부류의 사람이신가! 이는 그분께서 심지어 바람들과 물에게도 명령하시며 그것들이 그분께 복종하기 때문이라.” 하였더라.

25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

26 ¶ 이윽고 그들이 갈릴리 맞은편에 있는 가다라인들의 지방에 도착하였더라.

26 ¶ And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.

27 그런데 그분께서 상륙하시기 위하여 나아가셨을 때 어떤 남자 한 명이 그 도시에서 나와 그분을 만났더라. 그 남자는 오랜 시간 마귀들이 들려 옷도 전혀 입지 않고 어떤 집에도 거하지 않으며 다만 묘지들 가운데 거하였더라.

27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

28 그가 예수님을 보자 그는 부르짖으며 그분 앞에 엎드려 큰 목소리로 말씀드리기를, “예수님, 지극히 높으신 하나님의 아들 당신이여, 제가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까? 제가 당신께 간청하오니, 저를 심히 고통스럽게 하지 마소서.” 하였더라.

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

29 (이는 그 영이 빈번하게 그를 휘어잡아서 그가 사슬들과 족쇄들에 묶여 있는데도 그가 포박들을 끊고 그 마귀에게 몰려 광야로 들어갔으므로 그분께서 그 불결한 영에게 명령하시어 그 남자에게서 나오라고 하셨기 때문이라.)

29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)

30 그러자 예수님께서 그에게 물으시며 말씀하시기를, “너의 이름이 무엇이냐?” 하셨더라. 그러자 그가 말씀드리기를, “레기온³이니이다.” 하였더라. 이는 많은 마귀들이 그의 안으로 들어갔기 때문이라.

30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.

31 그러면서 그들은 그분께 간청하여 그분께서 그들을 깊음 속으로 나가라고 명령하지 말아 달라 하였더라.

31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.

32 그런데 거기에 많은 돼지들로 이루어진 떼가 산 위에서 먹이를 먹고 있었더라. 그러자 그들이 그분께 간청하여 그분께서 그들이 그것들 안으로 들어가는 것을 승낙해 달라고 하였더라. 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 승낙하셨더라.

32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.

33 그때 마귀들이 그 남자에게서 나가 돼지들 안으로 들어갔고, 그 떼가 가파른 곳을 난폭하게 달려 내려가 호수 속에 빠져 질식하였더라.

33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.

34 돼지들을 먹이던 자들이 일어난 일을 목격하자 그들이 도망하여 그 도시와 그 지방에 가서 그것을 알렸더라.

34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.

35 그때 그들이 일어난 일을 보려고 나와서 예수님께 왔는데 마귀들이 떠난 그 남자가 예수님의 발치에 앉은 채 옷이 입혀져 있고 제정신인 것을 발견하였더라. 그러자 그들이 무서워하였더라.

35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

36 그것을 목격한 자들도 마귀들에게 점유되었던 자가 어떤 방식으로 치유받았는지를 그들에게 알렸더라.

36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed.

37 ¶ 그때 가다라인들의 주변 지방에서 나온 무리 전체가 그분께 그들을 떠나달라고 간청하였더라. 이는 그들이 심한 두려움에 사로잡혔기 때문이라. 그러자 그분께서 그 선박 안으로 올라 타시고 다시 되돌아가셨더라.

37 ¶ Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again.

38 이제 자신에게서 마귀들이 떠나간 그 남자가 그분께 간청하여 자신이 그분과 함께 있게 해달라고 하였으나 예수님께서는 그를 떠나 보내며 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying,

39 “너 자신의 집으로 되돌아가라. 그리고 얼마나 위대한 일들을 하나님께서 너에게 행하셨는지를 보이라.” 그러자 그가 자기 길을 갔고 예수님께서 자신에게 얼마나 위대한 일들을 행하셨는지 온 도시에 걸쳐 공표하였더라.

39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.

40 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 예수님께서 되돌아오시자 백성이 반가워하며 그분을 영접하였더라. 이는 그들이 모두 그분을 기다리고 있었기 때문이라.

40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.

41 ¶ 그런데 보라, 야이로란 이름으로 불리는 남자가 왔는데 그는 회당 치리자였더라. 그런데 그가 예수님의 두 발 앞에 엎드려 그분께서 자신의 집 안으로 와 주시기를 그분께 간청하였더라.

41 ¶ And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house:

42 이는 그에게 약 열두 살이 된 하나뿐인 외동딸이 있었는데 그녀가 누워서 죽어가고 있었기 때문이라. 그러나 그분께서 가시는 동안 백성이 그분께로 밀어닥쳤더라.

42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him.

43 ¶ 그런데 십이 년간 피의 유출을 앓고 있는 여자가 있었더라. 그녀는 의사들에게 자신의 생계비 전부를 소비하였건만 누구에게서도 고침을 받지 못하였더라.

43 ¶ And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

44 그녀가 그분 뒤로 와서 그분의 의복 가장자리를 만졌더라. 그리고 그녀의 피의 유출이 즉시 멎었더라.

44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

45 그러자 예수님께서 말씀하시기를, “누가 나를 만졌느냐?” 하셨느니라. 모두가 부인할 때 그분과 함께 있던 자들과 베드로가 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 무리가 당신께로 밀어닥치고 당신을 밀어붙이고 있는데 당신께서는 말씀하시기를, ‘누가 나를 만졌느냐?’ 하시나이까?” 하였더라.

45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

46 그러자 예수님께서 말씀하시기를, “누군가가 나를 만졌느니라. 이는 나에게서 그 효능이 빠져나가는 것을 내가 알았기 때문이라.” 하셨더라.

46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

47 그러자 그 여자가 자신이 숨겨지지 않은 것을 보았을 때 그녀는 떨면서 나아와 그분 앞에 엎드렸더라. 그녀가 모든 백성 앞에서 무슨 까닭으로 자신이 그분을 만졌는지와 어떻게 자신이 즉시 치유받았는지를 그분께 분명히 밝혔더라.

47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

48 그러자 그분께서 그녀에게 말씀하시기를, “딸아, 훌륭한 위로를 받으라. 너의 믿음이 너를 온전하게 하였느니라. 평안히 가라.” 하셨느니라.

48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

49 ¶ 그분께서 아직 말씀하시는 동안 회당 치리자의 집에서 온 한 사람이 그에게 말하기를, “당신의 딸이 죽었나이다. 스승님을 번거롭게 하지 마소서.” 하니라.

49 ¶ While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

50 그러나 예수님께서 그것을 들으신 후에 친히 그에게 대답하며 말씀하시기를, “두려워하지 말라. 믿기만 하라. 그리하면 그녀가 온전해지리라.” 하셨더라.

50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

51 그러고는 그분께서 그 집 안으로 들어가셨을 때, 그분께서 베드로와 야고보와 요한과 그 여자아이의 아버지와 어머니를 제외하고는 아무도 안으로 들어가는 것을 허락하지 아니하셨더라.

51 And when he came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

52 그러자 모두가 울면서 그녀를 위하여 통곡하였더라. 그러나 그분께서 말씀하시기를, “울지 말라. 그녀는 죽은 것이 아니라 다만 자는 것이라.” 하셨느니라.

52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

53 그러자 그들은 그녀가 죽었음을 알기에 그분을 경멸하며 비웃었더라.

53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

54 그러자 그분께서 그들을 모두 내보내셨으며 그녀를 손으로 잡고 부르셨으니, 말씀하시기를, “여자아이야, 일어나라.” 하셨더라.

54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.

55 그런데 그녀의 영이 다시 돌아왔더라. 그리고 그녀가 즉각 일어났더라. 그런 다음에 그분께서 그녀에게 음식을 주라고 명령하셨더라.

55 And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

56 이에 그녀의 부모는 깜짝 놀랐더라. 그러나 그분께서는 무슨 일이 일어났는지 그들이 아무에게도 알려서는 안 된다고 그들에게 명하셨더라.

56 And her parents were astonished: but he charged them that they should tell no man what was done.
