누가복음 9장

1 그때 그분께서 자신의 열두 제자를 한데 불러 모으셨고 그들에게 모든 마귀들을 제압하고 병을 고칠 권능과 권위를 부여하셨더라.

1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

2 그런 다음에 그분께서 그들을 보내셨으니, 하나님의 왕국을 선포하고 병든 자들을 치유하게 하고자 하심이라.

2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

3 그러면서 그분께서 그들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “너희의 여정을 위하여 아무것도 취하지 말라. 지팡이들도 취하지 말고, 보따리도 취하지 말며, 빵도 취하지 말고, 돈도 취하지 말며, 웃옷도 두 벌씩 취하지 말라.

3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

4 그리고 어느 집이든지 너희가 안으로 들어가면 거기에서 거하다가 그곳을 떠나라.

4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

5 그리고 누구든지 너희를 받아들이려 하지 않거든, 너희가 그 도시에서 나갈 때 너희 두 발에서 바로 그 먼지를 떨어서 그들을 대적하는 증언으로 삼으라.”

5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

6 그러자 그들이 떠나서 복음을 선포하고 곳곳마다 치유를 행하면서 마을들을 두루 다녔더라.

6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

7 ¶ 이때 분봉왕 헤롯은 그분에 의하여 일어난 일을 모두 들었고 그가 당황스러워하였으니, 어떤 이들에 의하여 요한이 죽은 자들로부터 살아난 것이라는 말이 돌았기 때문이요,

7 ¶ Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

8 어떤 이들은 엘리-야가 나타난 것이라 하고, 다른 이들은 옛 예언자들 중 한 명이 다시 살아난 것이라 하였기 때문이라.

8 And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

9 이에 헤롯이 말하기를, “요한은 내가 목을 베었으나 이 사람은 누구기에 그에 관하여 내가 이러한 것들을 듣는가?” 하였더라. 그런즉 그가 그분 보기를 열망하였더라.

9 And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

10 ¶ 이후에 사도들이 되돌아오자 그들이 그분께 자신들이 행했던 일을 모두 말씀드렸더라. 이에 그분께서 그들을 데리고 벧새다라고 불리는 도시에 속한 외딴곳으로 남모르게 은밀히 가셨더라.

10 ¶ And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

11 그리고 백성이 그것을 알자 그들은 그분을 따라갔더라. 그러자 그분께서 그들을 받아들이셨고 그들에게 하나님의 왕국에 관하여 말씀하셨으며 치유가 필요한 자들을 치유해 주셨더라.

11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

12 이윽고 날이 저물어 가기 시작하였을 그때 열둘이 나아와서 그분께 말씀드리기를, “무리를 돌려보내시어 그들이 마을들과 근처 지방으로 들어가서 묵고 먹을거리들을 얻게 하소서. 이는 우리가 여기 외딴곳에 있기 때문이니이다.” 하였더라.

12 And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

13 그러나 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “너희가 그들에게 먹을 것을 주라.” 하셨느니라. 그러자 그들이 말씀드리기를, “우리가 이 모든 백성을 위한 음식을 사러 가지 않는 한, 우리에게는 다섯 덩이의 빵과 두 마리의 물고기 말고 더 이상 아무것도 없나이다.” 하였더라.

13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

14 이는 그들이 약 오천 명의 남자들이었기 때문이라. 그러자 그분께서 자신의 제자들에게 말씀하시기를, “그들을 오십 명씩 한 무리가 되도록 앉히라.” 하셨느니라.

14 For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

15 이에 그들이 그렇게 하여 그들을 모두 앉혔더라.

15 And they did so, and made them all sit down.

16 그때 그분께서 다섯 덩이의 빵과 두 마리의 물고기를 취하셨고, 하늘을 올려다보시며 친히 그것들에 복을 주시고 쪼개어 제자들에게 주시며 무리 앞에 차려 놓게 하셨더라.

16 Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

17 그러자 그들이 먹고 모두 배가 채워졌더라. 그리고 그들에게 남은 빵조각들이 거두어들여졌으니, 열두 바구니더라.

17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

18 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 홀로 기도하고 계시는 동안 그분의 제자들이 그분과 함께하였는데 그분께서 그들에게 물으며 말씀하시기를, “백성은 내가 누구라고 말하느냐?” 하셨느니라.

18 ¶ And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

19 그들이 대답하며 말씀드리기를, “침례자 요한이라고 하나이다. 그러나 어떤 이들은 엘리-야라고 하며, 다른 이들은 옛 예언자들 중 한 명이 다시 살아난 것이라고 하나이다.” 하였더라.

19 They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

20 그분께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “그러나 너희는 내가 누구라고 말하느냐?” 하셨느니라. 베드로가 대답하며 말씀드리기를, “하나님의 그리스도시니이다.” 하였더라.

20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

21 그러자 그분께서 그들에게 엄히 명하시어 그들에게 그것을 아무에게도 알리지 말라고 명령하셨으니

21 And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

22 말씀하시기를, “인자는 반드시 많은 일들로 수난을 겪어야 하고, 장로들과 수석 제사장들과 서기관들에게 거절당하여야 하며, 살해당하여야 하고, 셋째 날에 살아나야 하느니라.” 하셨느니라.

22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

23 ¶ 그러고는 그분께서 그들 모두에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “누구든 나를 따라오려거든 자신을 부인하고 매일 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따르라.

23 ¶ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

24 이는 누구든지 자기 생명을 구원하려 하면 그것을 잃을 것이기 때문이라. 그러나 누구든지 나를 위하여 자기 생명을 잃으려 하면 바로 그 자는 그것을 구원하리라.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

25 그런즉 만일 사람이 온 세상을 얻고도 자신을 잃어버리거나 내쳐진다면, 그가 무슨 유익을 얻겠느냐?

25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

26 이는 누구든지 나와 내 말들을 부끄러워한다면, 인자가 자기 자신의 영광과 자기 아버지의 영광과 거룩한 천사들의 영광 가운데 올 때 인자는 그를 부끄러워할 것이기 때문이라.

26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

27 그러나 내가 너희에게 한 가지 진실을 알려주겠노라. 여기에 서 있는 몇 사람은 그들이 하나님의 왕국을 목격할 때까지 죽음을 맛보지 아니하리라.”

27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

28 ¶ 그러고 나서 이 말씀들을 하신 지 약 팔 일이 지났을 때 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 베드로와 요한과 야고보를 데리고 기도하러 어떤 산속으로 올라가셨더라.

28 ¶ And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

29 그런데 그분께서 기도하시는 동안 그분의 용모의 모양새가 달라졌고 그분의 의상은 하얗고 반짝였더라.

29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

30 그리고 보라, 거기에 두 남자가 그분과 함께 대화하고 있었으니, 그들은 모세와 엘리-야였더라.

30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

31 그들이 영광 가운데 나타나서 그분께서 예루살렘에서 이루셔야 하는 그분의 임종에 관하여 말하였더라.

31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

32 그러나 베드로와 그와 함께한 자들은 잠에 깊이 빠졌더라. 그러다가 그들이 깨어났을 때 그들이 그분의 영광과 그분 곁에 서 있는 두 남자를 보았더라.

32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

33 그리고 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그들이 그분을 떠나는 동안 베드로가 자신이 무슨 말을 하는지 모른 채 예수님께 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 우리가 여기 있는 것이 좋사오니, 우리가 장막 셋을 짓도록 허락하소서. 하나는 당신을 위한 것이요, 하나는 모세를 위한 것이며, 하나는 엘리-야를 위한 것이니이다.” 하였더라.

33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

34 그가 그렇게 말하는 동안 구름이 와서 그들에게 그늘을 드리웠더라. 이에 그들은 자신들이 그 구름 속으로 들어가는 동안 두려워하였더라.

34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

35 이윽고 그 구름에서 한 음성이 나와 말씀하시기를, “이는 나의 사랑을 받는 아들이라. 그의 말을 들으라.” 하셨느니라.

35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

36 그리고 그 음성이 지나갔을 때 예수님께서 홀로 발견되셨더라. 그런즉 그들은 그것을 비밀로 하고 그 당시에 아무에게도 자신들이 목격한 그것들 중 어떤 것도 알리지 아니하였더라.

36 And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

37 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 다음날에 그들이 언덕에서 내려오자 많은 백성이 그분을 만났더라.

37 ¶ And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

38 그러자 보라, 일행 중 한 남자가 소리 지르며 이같이 말씀드렸더라. “스승이여, 제가 당신께 간청하오니, 저의 아들을 돌아보소서. 이는 그가 저의 유일한 자식이기 때문이니이다.

38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

39 그리고 보소서, 한 영이 그를 붙들어서 그가 갑자기 소리를 지르나이다. 그리고 그가 다시 거품을 물도록 그것이 그를 찢고 또 그를 상처 입히면서 도무지 그로부터 떠나가지 아니하나이다.

39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.

40 그리하여 제가 당신의 제자들에게 그를 쫓아내 달라고 간청하였는데 그들은 하지 못하였나이다.”

40 And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

41 이에 예수님께서 대답하며 말씀하시기를, “오, 믿음이 없고 비뚤어진 세대여, 내가 너희와 언제까지 함께 있어야 하겠으며, 너희를 언제까지 감내해야 하겠느냐? 너의 아들을 여기로 데려오라.” 하셨더라.

41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

42 그런데 그가 아직 오고 있는 동안에도 그 마귀가 그를 엎어뜨렸으며 그를 찢었더라. 그러자 예수님께서 그 불결한 영을 꾸짖으시고 그 아이를 치유하셨으며 그를 그의 아버지에게 다시 넘겨주셨더라.

42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

43 ¶ 이에 그들이 모두 하나님의 막강한 권능에 놀랐더라. 그러나 그들 각자가 예수님께서 행하신 모든 일들에 경이로워하고 있을 때 그분께서 자신의 제자들에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라.

43 ¶ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

44 “이같이 말한 것들을 너희의 귓속에 새겨 넣으라. 이는 인자가 사람들의 손안에 넘겨질 것이기 때문이라.”

44 Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

45 그러나 이같이 말씀하신 것을 그들은 이해하지 못하였고 그것이 그들에게서 숨겨졌으니, 그들이 그것을 알아차리지 못하였더라. 그리고 그들은 그 말씀에 관하여 그분께 묻는 것을 두려워하였더라.

45 But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

46 ¶ 그때 그들 가운데서 그들 중 누가 가장 위대한 자인지 따져 보는 일이 발생하였더라.

46 ¶ Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

47 이에 예수님께서는 그들의 마음의 생각들을 아시고 한 아이를 데려오시어 그분 곁에 그를 세우셨더라.

47 And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

48 그러면서 그들에게 말씀하시기를, “누구든지 내 이름으로 이 아이를 받아들일 자는 나를 받아들이는 것이라. 그리고 누구든지 나를 받아들일 자는 나를 보내신 분을 받아들이는 것이라. 이는 너희 모두 중 가장 작은 자, 바로 그 자가 위대해질 것이기 때문이라.” 하셨느니라.

48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

49 ¶ 그러자 요한이 대답하여 말씀드리기를, “스승님, 우리가 당신의 이름으로 마귀들을 쫓아내는 한 사람을 보았나이다. 그리하여 우리가 그를 금하였으니, 그가 우리와 함께 따르지 아니하기 때문이니이다.” 하였더라.

49 ¶ And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

50 이에 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “그를 금하지 말라. 이는 우리를 대적하지 아니하는 자는 우리를 위하는 자이기 때문이라.” 하셨느니라.

50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

51 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그분께서 위로 들림을 받으셔야 할 때가 되자 그분께서 예루살렘으로 가시려고 자신의 얼굴을 확고히 고정하셨고

51 ¶ And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

52 자신의 얼굴 앞에서 전령들을 보내셨더라. 이에 그들이 가서 그분을 위한 준비를 하기 위하여 사마리아인들의 촌락 안으로 들어갔더라.

52 And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

53 그런데 그분의 얼굴이 마치 그분께서 예루살렘으로 가시려는 것 같았기에 그들은 그분을 받아들이지 아니하였더라.

53 And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

54 이에 그분의 제자들인 야고보와 요한이 이것을 목격하자 그들이 말씀드리기를, “주여, 당신께서는 우리가 하늘로부터 불이 내려오도록 명령하여 바로 엘리-야가 한 것처럼 저들을 소멸시키기를 원하시나이까?” 하였더라.

54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

55 그러나 그분께서 돌이키시어 그들을 꾸짖으셨고 이같이 말씀하셨더라. “너희는 어떤 부류의 영이 너희에게 있는지 모르는도다.

55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

56 이는 인자가 사람들의 생명들을 멸하러 온 것이 아니라 오직 그들을 구원하러 왔기 때문이라.” 그런즉 그들이 또 다른 촌락으로 갔더라.

56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

57 ¶ 그러고 나서 이러한 일이 있었으니, 그들이 길을 가는 도중에 어떤 남자 한 명이 그분께 말씀드리기를, “주여, 당신께서 어디로 가시든지 제가 당신을 따르겠나이다.” 하였더라.

57 ¶ And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

58 그러자 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “여우들도 굴들이 있고 공중의 새들도 둥지들이 있건만, 인자는 그의 머리 둘 곳이 없도다.” 하셨느니라.

58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

59 그리고 그분께서 또 다른 이에게 말씀하시기를, “나를 따르라.” 하셨느니라. 그러나 그가 말씀드리기를, “주여, 먼저 제가 가서 저의 아버지를 장사하도록 허락하여 주소서.” 하였더라.

59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

60 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “죽은 자들로 하여금 그들의 죽은 자들을 장사하게 하라. 그러나 너는 가서 하나님의 왕국을 선포하라.” 하셨느니라.

60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

61 그리고 또 다른 이도 말씀드리기를, “주여, 제가 당신을 따르겠나이다. 다만 먼저 제가 제 집에, 곧 가정에 있는 자들에게 고별인사 하는 것을 허락하소서.” 하였더라.

61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

62 그러자 예수님께서 그에게 말씀하시기를, “자기 손에 쟁기를 잡고 뒤를 돌아보는 자는 아무도 하나님의 왕국에 적합하지 아니하노라.” 하셨느니라.

62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
