출애굽기 23장

1 너는 거짓 보고를 불러일으키지 말지니라. 너의 손을 사악한 자와 잡고 불의한 증인이 되지 말지니라.

1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.

2 ¶ 너는 무리를 따라 악을 행하지 말지니, 너는 소송 사건에서 다수를 따라 편중된 것을 말하여 재판을 왜곡하지도 말지니라.

2 ¶ Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:

3 ¶ 또한 너는 가난한 사람의 소송 사건에서 그를 두둔하지도 말지니라.

3 ¶ Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.

4 ¶ 만일 네가 너의 원수의 소나 그의 나귀가 길을 잘못 가는 것을 맞닥뜨린다면 너는 반드시 그것을 그에게 다시 데려다줄지니라.

4 ¶ If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.

5 만일 너를 증오하는 자의 나귀가 그의 짐 아래에 깔려 있는 것을 네가 목격한다면 그를 도와주는 것이 꺼려진다 해도 너는 반드시 그와 함께 도울지니라.

5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.

6 너는 너의 가난한 자의 소송에서 그의 재판을 왜곡하지 말지니라.

6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

7 너는 거짓된 사안에서 스스로 멀리 떨어져 있으라. 그리고 너는 무고한 자와 의로운 자를 살해하지 말라. 이는 내가 사악한 자들을 정당화하지 않을 것이기 때문이라.

7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

8 ¶ 그리고 너는 뇌물을 받지 말지니라. 이는 뇌물은 지혜로운 자들을 눈멀게 하고 의로운 자들의 말들을 비뚤어지게 하기 때문이라.

8 ¶ And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.

9 ¶ 또한 너는 타국인을 압제하지 말지니라. 이는 너희가 이집트 지역 가운데서 타국인들이었으므로 너희가 타국인의 마음을 알기 때문이라.

9 ¶ Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

10 그리고 너는 육 년 동안 너의 토지에 씨를 뿌릴지니, 그것의 열매들을 거둘지니라.

10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:

11 그러나 일곱째 해에 너는 그 토지를 안식하게 하고 가만히 있도록 둘지니, 너의 백성 중 가난한 자들로 하여금 먹게 하려 함이라. 그리하면 그들이 남긴 것은 들짐승들이 먹으리라. 너는 너의 포도원에도 너의 올리브 밭에도 이와 같은 방식으로 처리할지니라.

11 But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.

12 육 일 동안 너는 너의 일을 하고 일곱째 날에 너는 안식할지니, 너의 소와 너의 나귀가 쉬고 너의 몸종의 아들과 타국인이 활력을 되찾을 수 있게 하려 함이라.

12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

13 그리고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 일들에 있어서 신중을 기하라. 그리고 다른 신들의 이름은 들먹이지 말며 너의 입 밖으로 그것이 들리지도 않게 하라.

13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.

14 ¶ 너는 연중 세 번씩 나에게 명절을 지킬지니라.

14 ¶ Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year.

15 너는 무교절을 지킬지니라. (내가 너에게 명령한 대로 너는 아빕 월의 정해진 때에 칠 일 동안 누룩이 들어 있지 않은 빵을 먹을지니라. 이는 아빕 월에 네가 이집트에서 나왔기 때문이니, 아무도 내 앞에 빈손으로 나타나지 말지니라.)

15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)

16 그리고 수확절을 지킬지니, 네가 밭에 뿌린 너의 수고들에서 나오는 첫 열매들이라. 그리고 연말에 있는 수장절을 지킬지니, 네가 밭에서 너의 수고들로 거두어들인 때라.

16 And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

17 너의 모든 남성들은 연중 세 번씩 주 하나님 앞에 나타날지니라.

17 Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

18 너는 나의 희생 제물의 피를 누룩이 든 빵과 함께 바치지 말지니, 나의 희생 제물의 지방도 아침까지 남겨 두지 말지니라.

18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.

19 너는 너의 토지의 첫 열매들 중에서 첫 결실을 주 너의 하나님의 집 안으로 들일지니라. 너는 새끼 염소를 그의 어미의 젖으로 삶지 말지니라.

19 The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

20 ¶ 보라, 내가 한 천사를 너의 앞으로 보내서 길에서 너를 보호하고 내가 예비한 장소 안으로 너를 데려가게 하리라.

20 ¶ Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

21 그에게 주의를 기울이고 그의 음성에 순종하며 그를 격분시키지 말라. 이는 그가 너의 불법들을 면죄하지 아니할 것이기 때문이요, 나의 이름이 그 안에 있기 때문이라.

21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

22 그러나 만일 네가 정녕 그의 음성에 순종하고 내가 말하는 것을 모두 실행하면 그때는 내가 너의 원수들에게 원수가 되고 너의 대적들에게 대적이 되겠노라.

22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

23 이는 나의 천사가 너의 앞으로 가서 너를 아모리족들과 히타이트족들과 프리즈족들과 가나안족들과 히위족들과 여부스족들에게로 데리고 들어갈 것이기 때문이라. 그리하여 내가 그들을 끊어 버리겠노라.

23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

24 너는 그들의 신들에게 아래로 숙여 절하지 말고 그들을 섬기지도 말며 그들의 행위들을 좇아 행하지도 말지니라. 다만 너는 그들을 모조리 뒤집어엎고 그들의 형상들을 철저히 부술지니라.

24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

25 그런즉 너희는 주 너희 하나님을 섬길지니라. 그리하면 그가 너의 빵과 너의 물에 복을 주리라. 그리고 내가 너의 한가운데서 병을 제거하겠노라.

25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

26 ¶ 너의 지역에서는 아무도 자신들의 새끼를 유산하지 않을 것이요, 불임이 되지도 아니하리라. 내가 너의 날들의 수를 채워 주겠노라.

26 ¶ There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

27 내가 너의 앞에 나에 대한 두려움을 보낼 것이요, 네가 다가갈 모든 백성들을 멸망시킬 것이요, 내가 너의 모든 원수들로 하여금 그들의 등을 너에게로 돌리게 만들 것이라.

27 I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.

28 그리고 내가 너의 앞으로 말벌들을 보내리니, 그것들이 히위족과 가나안족과 히타이트족을 네 앞에서 내쫓으리라.

28 And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

29 나는 일 년 만에 그들을 네 앞에서 내쫓지 아니하겠나니, 그 토지가 황량해져서 들짐승이 너희를 대적하여 번성하지 않게 하려 함이라.

29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

30 네가 융성해져서 그 지역을 상속할 때까지 내가 너의 앞에서 그들을 조금씩 조금씩 내쫓으리라.

30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

31 그리고 내가 홍해에서부터 필리스티아인들의 바다에 이르기까지 그리고 사막에서부터 강까지 너의 경계선들을 설정하겠노라. 내가 그 지역의 거주자들을 너희 손안에 넘기겠노라. 그런즉 너는 그들을 네 앞에서 내쫓을지니라.

31 And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.

32 너는 그들과 언약을 맺지 말며 그들의 신들과도 언약을 맺지 말라.

32 Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

33 그들은 너의 지역에 거하지 못하리니, 그들이 너로 하여금 나를 대적하여 죄를 짓게 하지 않도록 하려 함이라. 이는 만일 네가 그들의 신들을 섬긴다면 그것이 반드시 너에게 올무가 될 것이기 때문이라.’”

33 They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
