사무엘기상 22장

1 그러므로 다윗이 거기서 떠나 아둘람 동굴로 탈출하였더라. 그러자 그의 형제들과 그의 아버지의 온 집이 그것을 들었으니, 그들이 그가 있는 거기로 내려갔더라.

1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him.

2 그리고 괴로움 가운데 있던 모든 자와 빚 가운데 있던 모든 자와 불만 가운데 있던 모든 자가 저마다 그에게로 스스로 모여들었더라. 그리하여 그가 그들을 다스리는 대장이 되었으니, 약 사백 명의 남자들이 그와 함께 있었더라.

2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.

3 ¶ 이후에 다윗이 거기에서 모압의 미즈페로 갔더라. 그리고 그가 모압 왕에게 말하기를, “제가 당신께 간구하오니, 저의 아버지와 저의 어머니를 나아오게 하시어 제가 하나님께서 저를 위하여 하실 일을 알기까지 그들로 하여금 당신과 함께 있게 하소서.” 하였더라.

3 ¶ And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come forth, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me.

4 그리하여 그가 그들을 모압 왕 앞으로 데려갔으니, 그들은 다윗이 요새 안에 있는 동안 내내 모압 왕과 함께 지냈더라.

4 And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.

5 ¶ 그리고 예언자 갓이 다윗에게 말하기를, “요새 안에 거하지 말라. 너는 이동하여 유다 지역 가운데로 들어가라.” 하였더라. 그때 다윗이 떠나 하렛 숲속으로 들어왔더라.

5 ¶ And the prophet Gad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.

6 ¶ 다윗과 그와 함께 있던 남자들이 발견되었다는 것을 사울이 들었을 때 (이때 사울은 기브아에서 라마흐에 있는 한 나무 아래에 거하였으니, 그의 손에는 자기 창을 지녔고 그의 모든 종들이 그의 주위에 서 있었더라.)

6 ¶ When Saul heard that David was discovered, and the men that were with him, (now Saul abode in Gibeah under a tree in Ramah, having his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing about him;)

7 그때 사울이 자기 주위에 선 자기 종들에게 이같이 말하였더라. “너희, 베냐민족들아, 이제 들으라. 이새의 아들이 너희 각인에게 밭들과 포도원들을 주겠으며, 너희 모두를 천인대장들과 백인대장들로 삼겠느냐?

7 Then Saul said unto his servants that stood about him, Hear now, ye Benjamites; will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds;

8 그래서 너희 모두가 나를 대적하여 음모를 꾸미고 나의 아들이 이새의 아들과 더불어 한 맹약을 맺은 것을 나에게 알리는 자가 아무도 없으며, 나를 위하여 유감을 느끼거나 나의 아들이 나를 대적하여 이날처럼 나의 종을 숨어 기다리도록 충동질한 것을 나에게 알리는 자가 너희 중에 아무도 없느냐?”

8 That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

9 ¶ 그때 사울의 종들을 다스리도록 세워진 에돔족 도엑이 대답하여 이같이 말하였더라. “제가 이새의 아들이 놉에 이르러 아히툽의 아들 아히멜렉에게 온 것을 보았나이다.

9 ¶ Then answered Doeg the Edomite, which was set over the servants of Saul, and said, I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.

10 그리고 그가 다윗을 위하여 주께 묻고 그에게 먹을거리들을 주었으며 필리스티아인 골리앗의 칼도 그에게 주었나이다.”

10 And he enquired of the LORD for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

11 그때 왕이 아히툽의 아들인 제사장 아히멜렉과 놉에 있던 제사장들인 그의 아버지의 온 집을 불러오라고 사람을 보냈더라. 그러자 그들 모두가 왕에게 왔더라.

11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king.

12 그러자 사울이 말하기를, “너, 아히툽의 아들아, 이제 들으라.” 하였더라. 이에 그가 대답하기를, “나의 주여, 제가 여기 있나이다.” 하였더라.

12 And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord.

13 그러자 사울이 그에게 말하기를, “어찌하여 너희, 곧 너와 이새의 아들이 나를 대적하여 음모를 꾸몄느냐? 네가 그에게 빵과 칼 한 자루를 주고 그를 위하여 하나님께 여쭈어 그가 이날처럼 나를 대적하여 들고일어나도록 숨어 기다리게 하였도다.” 하였더라.

13 And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

14 그때 아히멜렉이 왕에게 대답하여 이같이 말하였더라. “그러하면 당신의 모든 종들 가운데 다윗처럼 그토록 신실한 자가 누구니이까? 그는 왕의 사위요, 당신의 분부대로 가며, 당신의 집 안에서 존귀한 자이니이다.

14 Then Ahimelech answered the king, and said, And who is so faithful among all thy servants as David, which is the king's son in law, and goeth at thy bidding, and is honourable in thine house?

15 제가 비로소 그때서야 그를 위하여 하나님께 여쭙기 시작했나이까? 결코 아니니이다. 왕께서는 그분의 종에게 어떤 것도 책임을 지우지 마시고 나의 아버지의 모든 집에도 그리하지 마소서. 이는 당신의 종이 이 모든 것에 대하여 아무것도 모르니, 그 이상도 그 이하도 아니니이다.”

15 Did I then begin to enquire of God for him? be it far from me: let not the king impute any thing unto his servant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy servant knew nothing of all this, less or more.

16 그러자 왕이 말하기를, “아히멜렉아, 너는 반드시 죽으리니, 너와 너의 아버지의 온 집이 그러하리라.” 하였더라.

16 And the king said, Thou shalt surely die, Ahimelech, thou, and all thy father's house.

17 ¶ 그러고 나서 왕이 자신의 주위에 선 보병들에게 말하기를, “돌이켜 주의 제사장들을 살해하라. 이는 그들의 손도 다윗과 함께하였기 때문이요, 그들이 그가 도망친 것을 알고도 그것을 나에게 알리지 아니하였기 때문이라.” 하였더라. 그러나 왕의 종들이 자신들의 손을 내밀어 주의 제사장들을 덮치는 것을 꺼렸더라.

17 ¶ And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

18 그러자 왕이 도엑에게 말하기를, “너는 돌아서서 제사장들을 덮치라.” 하였더라. 이에 에돔족 도엑이 돌아섰고 그가 제사장들을 덮쳤으니, 아마포 에봇을 입은 팔십오 명을 그날에 살해하였더라.

18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

19 그리고 제사장들의 도시 놉을 그가 칼날로 쳤으니, 남자들과 여자들을, 아이들과 젖먹이들을, 소들과 나귀들과 양들을 모두 칼날로 쳤더라.

19 And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword.

20 ¶ 그런데 아히툽의 아들 아히멜렉의 아들들 중에 아비아달이란 이름으로 불리는 한 사람이 탈출하였으니, 다윗을 뒤따라 도망하였더라.

20 ¶ And one of the sons of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped, and fled after David.

21 그리고 사울이 주의 제사장들을 살해한 것을 아비아달이 다윗에게 알렸더라.

21 And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD'S priests.

22 그러자 다윗이 아비아달에게 이같이 말하였더라. “내가 그날 에돔족 도엑이 거기에 있었을 때 그가 사울에게 반드시 알릴 줄 알았노라. 내가 네 아버지의 집에 속한 모든 인물들의 죽음을 야기하였도다.

22 And David said unto Abiathar, I knew it that day, when Doeg the Edomite was there, that he would surely tell Saul: I have occasioned the death of all the persons of thy father's house.

23 너는 나와 함께 거하라. 두려워하지 말라. 이는 나의 생명을 찾는 자가 너의 생명을 찾고 있기 때문이라. 그러나 너는 호위를 받으며 나와 함께 있을지니라.”

23 Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.
