민수기 5장

1 그리고 주께서 모세에게 이같이 일러 말씀하셨느니라.

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 “이스라엘 자녀들에게 명령하여 그들로 하여금 진영에서 모든 나병 환자를 저마다 내보낼지니, 어떤 유출병이 있는 모든 이마다 내보내고 죽은 자들에 의하여 더럽혀진 자는 누구든지 내보낼지니라.

2 Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

3 너희는 남성과 여성을 모두 내보낼지니, 너희는 그들을 진영 밖에 둘지니라. 이는 그들로 하여금 자신들의 진영들을 더럽히지 않게 하려 함이니, 내가 그곳 한가운데 거하느니라.”

3 Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

4 이에 이스라엘 자녀들이 그렇게 행하여 그들을 진영 밖으로 내보냈으니, 주께서 모세에게 말씀하신 대로 이스라엘 자녀들이 그렇게 하였더라.

4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5 ¶ 그리고 주께서 모세에게 이같이 일러 말씀하셨느니라.

5 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

6 “이스라엘 자녀들에게 전하라. ‘어떤 남자나 여자가 사람들이 저지르는 어떤 죄라도 저질러서 주를 대적하는 범법을 하였을 때 그 개인이 유죄일 경우,

6 Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;

7 그때 그들은 자신들이 행한 자기 죄를 시인할지니라. 그러고 나서 그는 자신이 범법한 것을 그것의 원금으로 갚고 거기에다 그것의 오분의 일을 더하여 자신이 범법한 사람에게 그것을 줄지니라.

7 Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

8 그러나 만일 그 사람에게 남자 친척이 없어서 범법한 것을 갚을 수 없다면 그 범법한 것이 주께, 곧 제사장에게 갚아지도록 할지니라. 이 외에도 속죄의 숫양으로 그를 위하여 속죄가 이루어져야 하느니라.

8 But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

9 그리고 이스라엘 자녀들의 모든 거룩한 것들에 속하는 모든 제물마다, 곧 그들이 제사장에게 가져오는 것들마다 제사장의 것이 되리라.

9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

10 그리고 각자에게 속하는 거룩하게 된 것들은 그의 것이 되리라. 무엇이든지 어떤 사람이 제사장에게 주는 것, 그것은 그의 것이 되리라.’”

10 And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.

11 ¶ 그리고 주께서 모세에게 이같이 일러 말씀하셨느니라.

11 ¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12 “이스라엘 자녀들에게 일러 그들에게 이같이 말하라. ‘만일 어떤 남자의 아내가 탈선하여 그를 거슬러 범법을 저지르고,

12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

13 어떤 남자가 그녀와 육신적으로 동침하였는데 그것이 그녀의 남편의 두 눈에 감추어지고 비밀에 부쳐져서 그녀가 더럽혀졌는데도 그녀를 대적하여 증인이 전혀 없고 그녀가 그런 식으로 붙잡히지도 아니하였는데,

13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

14 질투의 영이 그의 위에 임하여 그가 자기 아내를 질투하고 그녀가 더럽혀진 경우, 또는 질투의 영이 그의 위에 임하여 그가 자기 아내를 질투하는데 그녀가 더럽혀지지 않은 경우,

14 And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

15 그때 그 남자는 자기 아내를 제사장에게로 데려갈지니, 그는 그녀를 위하여 그녀의 제물, 곧 보리로 된 굵은 가루 일 에파의 십분의 일을 가져갈지니라. 그는 그것 위에 기름을 따라 붓지 말고, 그 위에 유향도 두지 말지니라. 이는 그것이 질투의 제물이요, 죄악의 기억을 불러일으키는 회고의 제물이기 때문이라.

15 Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 그리하면 제사장은 그녀를 가까이 데려오고 그녀를 주 앞에 세울지니라.

16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:

17 그리고 제사장은 질그릇 안에 거룩한 물을 담을지니라. 그리고 제사장은 성막의 바닥에 있는 티끌을 취하여 그것을 물속에 넣을지니라.

17 And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 그리고 제사장은 그 여자를 주 앞에 세우고 여자의 머리를 드러나게 한 뒤 회고의 제물, 곧 질투의 제물을 그녀의 두 손에 둘지니라. 그리고 제사장은 저주를 일으키는 쓴 물을 자기 손에 들지니라.

18 And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

19 그리고 제사장은 그녀에게 맹세로 명하고 그 여자에게 이같이 말할지니라. ‘만일 어떤 남자도 너와 동침한 적이 없다면, 또 네가 너의 남편 대신에 다른 자와 더불어 탈선하여 불결해지지 않았다면 너는 이 저주를 일으키는 쓴 물에서 자유로우리라.

19 And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 그러나 만일 네가 너의 남편 대신에 다른 자에게로 탈선하였다면, 또 네가 더럽혀져서 너의 남편 외에 어떤 남자가 너와 동침하였다면,’

20 But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

21 그때 제사장은 그 여자에게 저주의 맹세로 명할지니, 제사장은 여자에게 이같이 말할지니라. ‘주께서 너의 넓적다리를 썩게 하시고 너의 배를 부어오르게 하실 때, 주께서 너를 너의 백성 가운데 저주와 맹세로 삼으시기를 바라노라.

21 Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

22 그리하면 저주를 일으키는 이 물이 너의 창자 속으로 들어가서 너의 배를 부어오르게 하고 너의 넓적다리를 썩게 하리라.’ 그리하면 그 여자는 말하기를, ‘아멘, 아멘.’ 할지니라.

22 And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 그리고 제사장은 이 저주들을 책 안에 기록할지니라. 그런 다음에 그는 쓴 물로 그것들을 지울지니라.

23 And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 그리고 그는 여자에게 그 저주를 일으키는 쓴 물을 마시게 할지니라. 그리하면 그 저주를 일으키는 물이 그녀 안으로 들어가서 쓰게 되리라.

24 And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 그때 제사장은 그 여자의 손에서 질투의 제물을 취할지니, 그 제물을 주 앞에서 흔들고 그것을 제단 위에 바칠지니라.

25 Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:

26 그리고 제사장은 그 제물에서 한 줌을 취할지니, 곧 그것의 기념이라. 그러고는 그것을 제단 위에서 태울지니라. 그러고 난 후에 그 여자로 하여금 그 물을 마시게 할지니라.

26 And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 그리하여 그가 그녀에게 그 물을 마시게 한 그때 이러한 일이 있으리니, 만일 그녀가 더럽혀졌고 그녀의 남편을 거슬러 범법을 행하였다면 그 저주를 일으키는 물이 그녀 안으로 들어가서 쓰게 되리니, 그녀의 배가 부어오를 것이요, 그녀의 넓적다리가 썩을 것이라. 그리하면 그 여자는 그녀의 백성 가운데서 저주가 되리라.

27 And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 그리고 만일 그 여자가 더럽혀지지 않았고 오히려 정결한 경우, 그때 그녀는 저주로부터 자유로우며 씨를 잉태하리라.

28 And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 이것이 질투들에 관한 법이니, 한 아내가 그녀의 남편 대신에 다른 자에게로 탈선하여 더럽혀진 때나,

29 This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 질투의 영이 그의 위에 임하여 그가 자기 아내를 질투하고 그 여자를 주 앞에 세워서 제사장은 그녀 위에 이 모든 법을 집행할 때라.

30 Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 그때 그 남자는 죄악에서 무죄할 것이요, 이 여자는 그녀의 죄악을 담당하리라.’”

31 Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
