예레미야서 15장

1 그때 주께서 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “모세와 사무엘이 내 앞에 서 있다 할지라도 여전히 나의 생각을 이 백성에게로 향할 수 없도다. 그들을 나의 목전에서 쫓아내고 그들을 나가게 하라.

1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.

2 이후에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 만일 그들이 너에게 말하기를, ‘우리가 어디로 나가리이까?’ 하거든 그때 너는 그들에게 알리라. 주가 이같이 말하노라. 죽음에 적합한 자들은 죽음으로, 칼에 적합한 자들은 칼로, 기근에 적합한 자들은 기근으로, 포로되기에 적합한 자들은 포로됨으로 향하라.

2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

3 그런즉 내가 그들 위에 네 가지 종류를 지정하겠으니, 곧 살해하는 칼과, 찢는 개들과, 집어삼키고 멸하는 하늘의 날짐승들과 땅의 짐승들이라. 주가 말하노라.

3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy.

4 그리하여 유다 왕 히스키야의 아들 므낫세로 인하여 또한 그가 예루살렘에서 행한 일로 인하여 내가 그들을 땅의 모든 왕국들로 옮겨지게 하겠노라.

4 And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

5 그런즉 오, 예루살렘아, 누가 너에게 동정심을 가지겠느냐? 또는 누가 너를 위하여 비탄에 잠기겠느냐? 또는 네가 어떻게 하고 있는지 물으려고 누가 한쪽으로 가겠느냐?

5 For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

6 주가 말하노라. 네가 나를 버렸고, 네가 뒤로 물러났도다. 그러므로 내가 너를 대적하여 나의 손을 펼쳐서 너를 멸하겠노라. 내가 돌이키는 일에 지쳤도다.

6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.

7 그런즉 나는 그 지역의 대문들 안에서 키를 들고 그들을 키질하겠노라. 그들이 자신들의 길들에서 다시 돌이키지 아니하기에 나는 그들에게서 자식들을 앗아가겠으며, 나는 나의 백성을 멸망시키겠노라.

7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.

8 그들의 과부들은 나에게 바다들의 모래를 웃돌 만큼 늘어났도다. 내가 대낮에 청년들의 어머니를 대적하게 하여 한 약탈자를 그들 위에 데려왔도다. 내가 그로 하여금 갑작스럽게 그곳을 덮치게 하였나니, 도시 위에 공포들이 있도다.

8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.

9 일곱을 낳은 여인이 쇠약해지나니, 그녀가 숨을 거두었도다. 아직 낮인데도 그녀의 해가 졌도다. 그녀가 부끄럽고 당혹스러워 하였도다. 또 그들의 남아 있는 자를 내가 그들의 원수들 앞에서 칼에 넘겨주겠노라. 주가 말하노라.”

9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.

10 ¶ 나의 어머니여, 제게 화가 있나니, 당신께서는 저를 분쟁의 사람이자 온 땅과 다투는 사람으로 낳으셨나이다! 나는 고리로 빌려준 적도 없고, 사람들이 고리로 나에게 빌려준 적도 없도다. 그럼에도 그들 모두가 저마다 나를 저주하는도다.

10 ¶ Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me.

11 주께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “진실로 너의 남은 자들이 잘되리라. 진실로 내가 그 원수로 하여금 해악의 때와 고난의 때에 너를 환대하게 하겠노라.

11 The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.

12 철이 북부의 철과 강철을 깨뜨리겠느냐?

12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel?

13 심지어 너의 모든 경계들 안에서 너의 재물과 너의 보물들을 내가 값없이 약탈에 내주리니, 너의 모든 죄들로 인함이라.

13 Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.

14 그리고 내가 너로 하여금 네가 모르는 어느 지역으로 너의 원수들과 더불어 이전하게 하겠노라. 이는 너희를 태울 불이 나의 분노 가운데 붙기 때문이라.”

14 And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.

15 ¶ 오, 주여, 당신께서 아시나이다. 저를 기억하시고 저를 찾아오시어 저의 박해자들에게 저를 위한 보복을 하여 주소서. 당신의 오래 참음으로, 저를 제거하지 마소서. 당신을 위하여 제가 꾸짖음을 감내하였음을 아소서.

15 ¶ O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

16 당신의 말씀들이 발견되었기에 제가 그것들을 먹었나이다. 그러자 당신의 말씀이 제게는 제 마음의 즐거움과 환희였나이다. 이는 오, 만군의 주 하나님이여, 제가 당신의 이름으로 불리기 때문이니이다.

16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

17 저는 조롱하는 자들의 집회 안에서 앉지 아니하였고 크게 기뻐하지도 아니하였나이다. 저는 당신의 손으로 인하여 홀로 앉았나이다. 이는 당신께서 저를 격노로 채우셨기 때문이니이다.

17 I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.

18 어찌하여 저의 아픔이 영속적이며, 저의 상처가 치유되는 것을 거부하고 치료될 수 없게 되었나이까? 당신께서 제게 전적으로 거짓말쟁이같이 되시고, 또 말라 버리는 물들같이 되시겠나이까?

18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail?

19 ¶ 그러므로 주가 이같이 말하노라. 만일 네가 되돌아온다면 그때 내가 너를 다시 데려오겠나니, 너는 내 앞에 서리라. 만일 네가 천한 것에서 귀한 것을 내놓는다면 너는 나의 입과 같게 되리라. 그들이 너에게 되돌아오게 하되, 너는 그들에게 되돌아가지 말지어다.

19 ¶ Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

20 그리고 내가 이 백성에게 너를 방비가 강화된 놋 성벽으로 만들겠노라. 그리하면 그들이 너를 대적하여 싸울지라도 그들이 너를 대적하여 승리하지 못하리라. 이는 내가 너와 함께 있어서 너를 구원하고 너를 구출하려 함이라. 주가 말하노라.

20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

21 그런즉 내가 너를 사악한 자의 손에서 구출하겠노라. 그리고 내가 너를 공포스러운 자의 손에서 구속하겠노라.

21 And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
