욥기 26장

1 그러나 욥이 대답하여 이같이 말하였더라.

1 But Job answered and said,

2 “너는 권세 없는 자를 어떻게 도왔느냐? 너는 아무 힘 없는 팔을 어떻게 구원하느냐?

2 How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

3 너는 아무 지혜 없는 자에게 어떻게 조언하였느냐? 또 너는 어떻게 사실을 있는 그대로 많이 나타내었느냐?

3 How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

4 너는 누구에게 말들을 발설하였느냐? 또 누구의 영이 너에게서 나왔느냐?

4 To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

5 죽은 것들은 물들 아래에서 형성되었고, 그곳의 거주자들도 그러하도다.

5 Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

6 지옥은 그분 앞에서 벌거벗겨지고 멸망은 아무런 덮을 것이 없도다.

6 Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

7 그분께서 빈 곳 위에 북쪽을 활짝 펼치시고 땅을 허공 위에 매다시는도다.

7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

8 그분께서 물들을 그분의 짙은 구름들 안에서 싸매시는도다. 그리하면 구름은 그것들 아래에서 찢어지지 아니하는도다.

8 He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

9 그분께서 그분의 보좌의 앞면을 가리시고 그분의 구름을 그 위에 펴시는도다.

9 He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

10 그분께서 물들을 한계선들로 둘러싸셨으니, 낮과 밤이 끝날 때까지라.

10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

11 하늘의 기둥들이 그분의 책망에 떨며 깜짝 놀라느니라.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

12 그분께서는 바다를 그분의 권능으로 나누시나니, 그분께서 그분의 명철로 교만한 자를 치시는도다.

12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

13 그분께서 자신의 영으로 하늘들을 장식하셨고, 그분의 손이 뒤틀린 뱀을 형성하셨도다.

13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

14 보라, 이런 것들이 그분의 길들의 부분들이로다. 그러나 그분에 대하여 얼마나 적은 단편만 듣게 되느냐? 하물며 그분의 권능의 천둥을 누가 이해할 수 있겠느냐?”

14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
