욥기 36장

1 엘리후가 또한 말을 이었고 이같이 말하였더라.

1 Elihu also proceeded, and said,

2 “조금만 나를 용납하소서. 그리하면 내가 하나님을 대신하여 여전히 말할 것이 있음을 내가 당신에게 보이겠나이다.

2 Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

3 내가 나의 지식을 먼 곳에서 동원하겠고 나를 만드신 분께 의를 돌리겠나이다.

3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

4 이는 참으로 나의 말들은 거짓되지 아니할 것이요, 지식에 있어서 완전하신 분께서 당신 곁에 계시기 때문이니이다.

4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

5 보소서, 하나님께서 막강하시고 아무도 멸시하지 아니하시나이다. 그분은 힘과 지혜에 있어서 강력하시나이다.

5 Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

6 그분께서 사악한 자의 생명을 보존하지 아니하시나 가난한 자들에게는 옳은 것을 주시나이다.

6 He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

7 그분께서 자신의 눈들을 의로운 자들에게서 거두지 아니하시나이다. 오히려 그들은 왕들과 함께 보좌 위에 있나이다. 진정 그분께서 그들을 영원토록 확고히 세우시나니, 그들이 크게 높여지나이다.

7 He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

8 그리고 만일 그들이 족쇄들에 결박되어 있고 고난의 끈들에 붙잡혀 있다면

8 And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

9 그때 그분께서 그들에게 그들의 행위와, 그들이 지나치게 행한 그들의 불법들을 보여 주시나이다.

9 Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

10 그분께서 또한 그들의 귀를 열어 훈육하시고 그들이 죄악으로부터 되돌아오는 것을 명령하시나이다.

10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

11 만일 그들이 순종하고 그분을 섬긴다면 그들은 그들의 날들을 번영 가운데서, 그들의 해들을 기쁨들 속에서 보내리이다.

11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

12 그러나 만일 그들이 순종하지 아니한다면 그들은 칼에 의하여 목숨을 잃을 것이요, 그들은 지식 없이 죽으리이다.

12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

13 그러나 마음 속으로 위선을 행하는 자들은 진노를 쌓아 올리나이다. 그분께서 그들을 결박하실 때도 그들은 부르짖지 아니하나이다.

13 But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

14 그들은 젊은 나이에 죽고 그들의 인생은 불결한 자들 사이에 있나이다.

14 They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

15 그분께서 가난한 자를 그의 고난 속에서 구출하시고 압제 속에서 그들의 귀들을 여시나이다.

15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

16 바로 그와 같이 그분께서 당신을 궁지에서 한 넓은 장소로 옮기려 하셨사오니, 그곳은 갑갑함이 전혀 없으며, 당신의 식탁 위에 기름진 것으로 가득 차려질 곳이니이다.

16 Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

17 그러나 당신은 사악한 자의 심판을 성취하였나이다. 공의와 정의가 당신을 붙잡나이다.

17 But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

18 이는 진노가 있기 때문이니, 그분께서 그분의 내려치심으로 당신을 제거하지 않으시도록 주의하소서. 그때는 대단한 속죄물이라도 당신을 구출할 수 없나이다.

18 Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

19 그분께서 당신의 재물들을 중요하게 여기시겠나이까? 아니니이다. 금도 아니요, 힘의 모든 전력들도 아니니이다.

19 Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

20 백성이 그들의 처소에서 끊어지는 때인 밤을 열망하지 마소서.

20 Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

21 주의하여 죄악을 유념하지 마소서. 이는 당신이 고난보다 도리어 이것을 선택하였기 때문이니이다.

21 Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

22 보소서, 하나님께서 그분의 권능으로 크게 높이시나이다. 누가 그분처럼 가르치나이까?

22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

23 누가 그분의 길을 그분에게 하달하였나이까? 혹은 누가 말하기를, ‘당신은 죄악을 이루었나이다.’ 할 수 있나이까?

23 Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

24 사람들이 보는 그분의 역사하심을 당신이 드높인다는 것을 기억하소서.

24 Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

25 모든 사람마다 그것을 살펴볼 수 있나이다. 사람은 멀리 떨어진 데서도 그것을 목도할 수 있나이다.

25 Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

26 보소서, 하나님께서는 위대하시고 우리는 그분을 모르나이다. 또한 그분의 연수는 다 헤아려질 수도 없기 때문이니이다.

26 Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

27 이는 그분께서 작은 물방울들을 만드시기 때문이니이다. 그것들은 물방울들로 이루어진 수증기에 따라 비를 아래로 쏟나이다.

27 For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

28 구름들은 그것들을 떨어뜨리고 사람 위에 넘치게 내려 주나이다.

28 Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

29 또한 누군가가 구름들이 펼쳐진 것들이나 그분의 장막에서 나오는 굉음을 이해할 수 있나이까?

29 Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

30 보소서, 그분께서 자신의 빛을 그곳 위에 펴시고, 바다의 바닥을 덮으시나이다.

30 Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

31 이는 그것들로 그분께서 백성들을 심판하시며, 그분께서 음식을 넘치게 주시기 때문이니이다.

31 For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

32 구름들로는 그분께서 빛을 가리시나이다. 또 그것에게 명령하시어 사이에 오는 구름에 의하여 빛을 발산하지 못하게 하시나이다.

32 With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

33 구름들의 굉음은 그것에 관하여 보여 주고, 가축도 수증기에 관하여 보여 주나이다.

33 The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
