신명기 10장

1 그때에 주께서 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. ‘처음 것과 같은 두 개의 돌판들을 너에게로 깎아 만들고 산속에 있는 나에게로 올라오라. 또한 목재로 된 법궤 하나를 너에게 만들어 두라.

1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

2 그리하면 네가 깨뜨렸던 처음 판들 안에 있던 말씀들을 내가 그 판들 위에 기록하겠노라. 그리고 너는 그것들을 그 법궤 안에 넣으라.’

2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

3 그리하여 내가 싯팀 목재로 법궤를 만들었고, 처음 것과 같은 두 개의 돌판들을 깎아 만들었으며, 내 손에 두 판들을 든 채로 산속으로 올라갔느니라.

3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.

4 그러자 그분께서 그 판들 위에 처음 기록한 대로 십계명을 기록하셨으니, 곧 주께서 집회의 날에 산속에 있는 불 한가운데서 너희에게 이야기하신 것이라. 그런 다음에 주께서 그것들을 나에게 주셨느니라.

4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.

5 그러고 나서 내가 스스로 돌이켜 산에서 내려왔으며, 그 판들을 내가 만든 법궤 안에 넣었느니라. 그리하여 주께서 나에게 명령하신 대로 그것들이 거기에 있느니라.

5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

6 ¶ 이후에 이스라엘 자녀들이 야아칸의 후손들에게 속한 브에롯에서부터 모세라까지 그들의 여정을 떠났느니라. 거기서 아론이 죽었으며, 거기서 그가 장사되었도다. 그리하여 그의 아들 엘르아잘이 그를 대신하여 제사장직으로 섬겼느니라.

6 ¶ And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

7 거기서부터 그들이 굿고다까지 여정을 떠났느니라. 이어서 굿고다에서 물들이 흐르는 강들의 지역인 욧밧까지 여정을 떠났느니라.

7 From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.

8 ¶ 그때에 주께서 레위 지파를 구별하셨으니, 주의 언약궤를 짊어지게 하시고 주 앞에 서서 그분을 섬기게 하시며 그분의 이름으로 축복하게 하시어 오늘날까지 이르게 하셨느니라.

8 ¶ At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

9 이러한 이유로 레위는 그의 형제들과 더불어 어떠한 지분도, 유산도 없느니라. 주 너의 하나님께서 그에게 약속하신 대로 주께서 그의 유산이 되시느니라.

9 Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.

10 그리하여 내가 처음 때와 같이 사십 일 낮과 사십 일 밤을 산속에 머물렀느니라. 그런즉 주께서는 그때에도 나에게 경청하셨으니, 주께서 너를 멸하려 하지 아니하셨느니라.

10 And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.

11 그리고 주께서 나에게 말씀하시기를, ‘일어나 백성에 앞서 너의 여정을 떠날지니, 그들로 하여금 내가 그들의 조상들에게 맹세하여 그들에게 주기로 한 그 지역에 들어가서 그곳을 차지하게 하려 함이라.’ 하셨느니라.

11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

12 ¶ 그런즉 이제 이스라엘아, 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게 요구하시는 것이 무엇이냐? 오직 주 너의 하나님을 두려워하는 것과, 그의 모든 길들 가운데 살아가는 것과, 그를 사랑하는 것과, 너의 마음을 다하고 너의 혼을 다하여 주 너의 하나님을 섬기는 것과,

12 ¶ And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

13 네가 잘되게 하려고 이날에 내가 너에게 명령하는 주의 명령들과 그분의 규례들을 지키는 것이 아니냐?

13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

14 보라, 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이 너의 하나님이신 주의 것이요, 땅도 그 안에 있는 모든 것과 더불어 주의 것이로다.

14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.

15 오직 주께서 너의 조상들을 크게 기뻐하시고 그들을 사랑하셨으니, 그분께서 그들의 뒤를 잇는 그들의 씨인 바로 너희를 모든 백성들 위에 선택하신 것이 이날과 같으니라.

15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.

16 그러므로 너희의 마음의 포피에 할례를 행하고 더 이상 뻣뻣한 고개가 되게 하지 말라.

16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

17 이는 주 너희 하나님께서는 신들의 하나님이시요, 만주의 주시요, 한 위대한 하나님이시요, 막강한 분이시요, 공포스러운 분이시요, 외모들을 유념하지 아니하시고 보수를 받지도 아니하시는 분이시기 때문이라.

17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

18 그분께서는 아버지 없는 자와 과부의 재판을 집행하시고, 타국인을 사랑하시어 그에게 양식과 의상을 주시느니라.

18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.

19 그러므로 너희는 타국인을 사랑하라. 이는 너희가 이집트 지역 가운데서 타국인들이었기 때문이라.

19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20 너는 주 너의 하나님을 두려워할지니라. 너는 그분을 섬길지니, 너는 그분께 밀착하고 그분의 이름으로 맹세할지니라.

20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

21 그분은 너의 찬송이시요, 그분은 너의 하나님이시니, 너의 두 눈이 본, 이 위대하고 공포스러운 것들을 너를 위하여 행한 분이시라.

21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

22 너의 조상들 칠십 명이 내려가 이집트로 들어갔느니라. 그리고 이제 주 너의 하나님께서 너를 하늘의 별들과 같이 허다하게 하셨느니라.

22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
