신명기 26장

1 그리고 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게 유산으로 주시는 그 지역으로 네가 들어가서 그곳을 차지하고 그 안에 거할 때 이러한 일이 있을지니,

1 And it shall be, when thou art come in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and possessest it, and dwellest therein;

2 너는 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게 주시는 너의 지역에서 네가 가져와야 할 열매, 곧 땅에서 난 모든 열매 중 처음 것을 취할지니라. 그리고 그것을 바구니 안에 담아 주 너의 하나님께서 자신의 이름을 거기에 두려고 선택하실 곳으로 갈지니라.

2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name there.

3 그러고 나서 너는 당시에 있을 제사장에게 가서 그에게 말하기를, ‘나는 주께서 우리 조상들에게 맹세하시어 우리에게 주기로 하신 나라에 들어온 것을 이날 주 당신의 하나님께 공언하나이다.’ 할지니라.

3 And thou shalt go unto the priest that shall be in those days, and say unto him, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto the country which the LORD sware unto our fathers for to give us.

4 그리하면 제사장은 너의 손에서 그 바구니를 취하여 주 너의 하나님의 제단 앞에 그것을 내려 놓을 것이라.

4 And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it down before the altar of the LORD thy God.

5 그러고 나서 너는 주 너의 하나님 앞에서 이같이 일러 말할지니라. ‘내 조상은 멸망하기 직전의 시리아인이었는데, 그가 이집트로 내려가서 소수의 사람들과 함께 그곳에 체류하였으니, 거기서 위대하고 막강하며 인구수가 많은 하나의 민족이 되었나이다.

5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:

6 그런데 이집트인들이 우리를 악하게 다루었고, 우리를 괴롭혔으며, 우리 위에 모진 속박을 지웠나이다.

6 And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

7 그리하여 우리가 우리 조상들의 주 하나님께 부르짖자 주께서 우리의 음성을 들으셨고 우리의 고난과 우리의 노동과 우리의 압제를 보셨나이다.

7 And when we cried unto the LORD God of our fathers, the LORD heard our voice, and looked on our affliction, and our labour, and our oppression:

8 그리고 주께서는 우리를 막강한 손으로, 펼쳐진 팔로, 커다란 공포로, 표적들로, 이적들로 이집트에서 데리고 나오셨나이다.

8 And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders:

9 그러고 나서 그분께서 우리를 이 장소로 데리고 들어오셨으며 이 지역, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 지역을 우리에게 주셨나이다.

9 And he hath brought us into this place, and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey.

10 그런즉 이제 보소서, 오, 주여, 당신께서 저에게 주신 그 지역의 첫 열매들을 제가 가져 왔나이다.’ 그러고 나서 너는 주 너의 하나님 앞에 그것을 놓고 주 너의 하나님 앞에서 경배할지니라.

10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O LORD, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, and worship before the LORD thy God:

11 그런 다음에 너는 주 너의 하나님께서 너에게와 너의 집에 주신 각각의 모든 좋은 것으로 인하여 크게 기뻐할지니, 곧 너와 레위인과 너희 가운데 있는 타국인이라.

11 And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you.

12 ¶ 네가 십일조를 드리는 해인 세 번째 해에 너의 소산의 모든 십일조들로 십일조 드리기를 끝마친 뒤 그것을 레위인과 타국인과 아버지 없는 자와 과부가 너의 성문들 안에서 먹고 배를 채우도록 그들에게 주었을 때에,

12 ¶ When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 그때 너는 주 너의 하나님 앞에서 이같이 말할지니라. ‘제가 저의 집에서 거룩하게 된 것들을 가지고 왔으며, 또한 당신께서 제게 명령하신 당신의 모든 명령들에 따라 그것들을 레위인에게와 타국인에게와 아버지 없는 자에게와 과부에게 주었나이다. 제가 당신의 명령들을 위반하지 아니하였으며 제가 그것들을 잊어버리지도 아니하였나이다.

13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:

14 저는 제가 애곡하는 가운데 그것을 먹지 아니하였고, 또한 저는 그것에서 조금도 어떤 불결한 용도로 떼어 놓지도 아니하였으며, 그것에서 조금도 죽은 자를 위하여 주지도 아니하였나이다. 그러나 저는 주 나의 하나님의 음성에 경청하였으며 당신께서 제게 명령하신 모든 것에 따라 행하였나이다.

14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

15 당신의 거룩한 처소에서, 곧 하늘에서 내려다보시어 당신의 백성 이스라엘에게 복을 주시고, 당신께서 저희의 조상들에게 맹세하신 대로 친히 저희에게 주신 그 지역, 곧 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 지역에 복을 주소서.’

15 Look down from thy holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

16 ¶ 이날에 주 너의 하나님께서 이 규례들과 공의로운 법규들을 행하라고 너에게 명령하셨느니라. 그러므로 너는 너의 마음을 다하고 너의 혼을 다하여 그것들을 지키고 실행할지니라.

16 ¶ This day the LORD thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

17 너는 이날에 주께서 너의 하나님이 되실 것과, 그분의 길들 가운데 살아갈 것과, 그분의 규례들과 그분의 명령들과 그분의 공의로운 법규들을 지킬 것과, 그분의 음성에 경청할 것을 확언하였노라.

17 Thou hast avouched the LORD this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:

18 그런즉 주께서도 친히 너에게 약속하신 대로 이날에 네가 그분의 독특한 백성이 될 것과, 네가 그분의 모든 명령들을 지켜야 할 것을 확언하셨노라.

18 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;

19 그리하여 너를 찬사에 있어서, 이름에 있어서, 영예에 있어서 그분께서 만드신 모든 민족들 위에 높이고자 하셨으니, 그분께서 말씀하신 대로 네가 주 너의 하나님께 거룩한 백성이 되게 하려 하심이라.”

19 And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
