이사야서 16장

1 너희는 그 땅의 치리자에게 어린양을 보내되, 셀-라에서 광야로, 시온의 딸의 산에까지 보낼지니라.

1 Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

2 이는 이런 일이 있을 것이기 때문이니, 곧 보금자리에서 쫓겨나 떠돌아다니는 새같이 그렇게 모압의 딸들이 아르논의 여울들에 있으리라.

2 For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

3 조언을 얻고 심판을 집행하라. 너의 그림자를 한창 대낮일 때 밤같이 만들라. 추방자들을 숨기라. 떠돌아다니는 자를 발각되지 않게 하라.

3 Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.

4 모압아, 나의 추방자들이 너의 곁에서 지내게 하라. 그들에게 너는 약탈자의 얼굴을 피하는 도피처가 되라. 이는 착취하는 자가 끝나고, 약탈자가 그치며, 압제자들이 그 지역에서 소멸되기 때문이라.

4 Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

5 그리하여 그 보좌가 자비 안에서 확고히 세워지리라. 그리고 그가 다윗의 장막 안에서 진리 가운데 그 보좌 위에 앉아, 심판하고 공의를 구하며 신속히 의를 행하리라.

5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

6 ¶ 우리가 모압의 교만에 관하여 들었도다. 그는 몹시 교만하니, 곧 그의 거만과 그의 교만과 그의 진노에 관하여 들었도다. 그러나 그의 거짓말들은 그렇게 되지 아니하리라.

6 ¶ We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

7 그러므로 모압이 모압으로 인하여 울부짖으리니, 모두가 저마다 울부짖으리라. 킬하레셋의 기초들로 인하여 너희가 애곡하리라. 확실히 그들이 타격을 받는도다.

7 Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.

8 이는 헤슈본의 밭들과 십마의 포도나무가 시들거리기 때문이라. 이방 민족들의 군주들이 그곳의 주요한 초목들을 꺾어 냈도다. 그것들이 심지어 야젤까지 왔도다. 그들이 광야를 통과하며 방황하였도다. 그녀의 가지들이 뻗어 있으니, 그들이 바다를 건너갔도다.

8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.

9 ¶ 그러므로 내가 야젤의 울음과 함께 십마의 포도나무를 위하여 통곡하리라. 오, 헤슈본아, 그리고 엘르알레야, 내가 나의 눈물들로 너에게 물을 주겠노라. 이는 너의 여름 열매들로 인한 환호와 너의 수확으로 인한 환호가 떨어져 버리기 때문이라.

9 ¶ Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.

10 그리고 흡족함이 수탈되나니, 풍요로운 들판에서 나오는 즐거움도 그러하도다. 또 포도원들에서는 노래하는 일도 없을 것이요, 환호하는 일도 없으리라. 포도즙틀을 밟는 자들은 그들의 압축 틀들을 밟아도 포도즙을 전혀 내지 못하리라. 내가 그들의 포도 수확의 환호를 그치게 하였도다.

10 And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.

11 이러한 이유로 나의 심정은 모압을 위하여 하프처럼 소리를 내리니, 나의 심중은 킬하레시를 위하여 그리하리라.

11 Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.

12 ¶ 그리고 모압이 높은 처소에서 지친 것이 보일 때면 이러한 일이 있으리니, 그가 기도하려고 자기 성소에 이르리라. 그러나 그가 효력을 얻지 못하리라.

12 ¶ And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

13 이것은 그때 이후로 모압에 관하여 주께서 하신 말씀이라.

13 This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.

14 그러나 이제 주께서 일러 말씀하셨으니, “삯꾼의 연수대로 삼 년 안에 모압의 영광이 수많은 무리 모두와 함께 업신여김을 받으리라. 그리고 남은 자들이 몹시 작고 나약해지리라.” 하셨느니라.

14 But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
