이사야서 23장

1 티레에 대한 엄중한 부담이라. 너희, 타르시시의 선박들아, 울부짖으라. 이는 그것이 황폐하게 되었기에 집도, 들어가는 진입로도 전혀 없기 때문이라. 킷팀 지역으로부터 그것이 그들에게 계시되었도다.

1 The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.

2 너희, 섬의 거주자들아, 잠잠하라. 너는 바다를 넘어가는 지돈의 상인들로 다시 채워졌느니라.

2 Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.

3 그리고 엄청난 물들을 통한 시홀의 씨, 곧 강의 수확이 그녀의 수입이요, 그녀는 민족들의 시장터라.

3 And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a mart of nations.

4 오, 지돈아, 너는 부끄러워하라. 이는 바다, 곧 바다의 힘이 일러 말하기를, “나는 산고를 치르지 아니하고, 아이들을 출산하지도 아니하느니라. 나는 청년들을 키우지도 아니하고, 처녀들을 양육하지도 아니하는도다.” 하였기 때문이라.

4 Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins.

5 이집트와 관련된 이야기에 심히 고통을 받은 것같이, 티레에 관한 이야기에도 그러하리라.

5 As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre.

6 너희는 타르시시로 넘어가라. 너희, 섬의 거주자들아 울부짖으라.

6 Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle.

7 이것이 너희의 즐거워하는 도시이며, 그 도시의 유구함이 고대의 날들에서 비롯된 곳이냐? 그녀 자신의 두 발이 그녀를 멀리 떨어진 데로 옮겨 체류하게 하리라.

7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.

8 왕관을 쓴 도시요, 그의 상인들은 통치자들이며, 그의 교역하는 자들이 땅에서 존귀한 자들인 티레를 대적하여 누가 이러한 계획을 가졌느냐?

8 Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable of the earth?

9 모든 영광의 교만을 더럽히고자, 또 땅의 모든 존귀한 자들에게 경멸을 가져오고자 만군의 주가 그것을 의도하였도다.

9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

10 오, 타르시시의 딸아, 강같이 너의 지역을 통과하라. 그곳에는 더 이상 힘이 없도다.

10 Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength.

11 그가 바다 위로 자신의 손을 뻗었도다. 그가 왕국들을 흔들었도다. 주가 그 상업 도시를 대적하여 명령을 내렸으니, 그 도시의 강한 요새들을 멸하라는 것이라.

11 He stretched out his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant city, to destroy the strong holds thereof.

12 그리고 그가 말하기를, “오, 너, 압제받는 처녀인 지돈의 딸아, 너는 더 이상 크게 기뻐하지 못하리라. 일어나서 킷팀으로 넘어가라. 거기서도 너는 쉼을 전혀 얻지 못하리라.” 하였도다.

12 And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.

13 칼데아인들의 지역을 보라. 아시리아인이 광야 가운데 거하는 자들을 위하여 그것을 세우기 전까지는 이 백성이 존재하지 아니하였도다. 그들이 그곳에 망대들을 세워 올렸으며, 그들이 그곳에 궁전들을 일으켜 세웠도다. 그리고 그는 그것을 폐허로 만들었도다.

13 Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, till the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up the towers thereof, they raised up the palaces thereof; and he brought it to ruin.

14 너희, 타르시시의 선박들아, 울부짖으라. 이는 너희의 힘이 황폐하게 되었기 때문이라.

14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.

15 그런즉 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 티레가 한 왕의 날들대로 칠십 년 동안 잊히리라. 그 칠십 년이 끝난 후에는 티레가 창녀같이 노래하리라.

15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.

16 너, 잊혀진 창녀야, 하프를 들고 도시를 돌아다니라. 네가 기억될 수 있도록 감미로운 곡조를 짓고 많은 노래들을 부르라.

16 Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

17 ¶ 그리고 칠십 년이 끝난 후에는 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주가 티레를 찾아가겠노라. 그리하면 그녀가 자신의 품값으로 돌이키리니, 땅의 표면 위에 있는 세상의 모든 왕국들과 더불어 음행하리라.

17 ¶ And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

18 그리하여 그녀의 상품과 그녀의 품값은 주께 거룩한 것이 되리니, 그것이 간직되거나 쌓이지도 아니하리라. 이는 그녀의 상품이 주 앞에서 거하는 자들을 위하여 충분히 먹게 하고, 오래 입을 옷이 될 것이기 때문이라.

18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
