이사야서 55장

1 호, 목마른 모든 자들아, 너희는 저마다 물들로 오라. 그리고 돈 없는 자도 오라. 너희는 와서 사 먹으라. 진정 돈 없이, 값 없이 와서 포도즙과 젖을 사라.

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 어찌 너희가 빵이 아닌 것을 위하여 돈을 허비하느냐? 또 너희의 수고를 만족하게 하지 않는 것을 위하여 허비하느냐? 나에게 부지런히 경청하라. 그리하여 너희는 좋은 것을 먹으라. 그리고 너희 혼으로 하여금 기름진 것을 스스로 크게 즐거워하게 하라.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3 너희의 귀를 기울이고 나에게 오라. 들으라. 그리하면 너희 혼이 살리라. 그리고 내가 너희와 영원한 언약을 맺으리니, 곧 다윗의 확실한 자비들이라.

3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

4 보라, 내가 그를 백성에게 증인으로 주었고, 백성에게 지도자와 지휘관으로 주었노라.

4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

5 보라, 너는 네가 모르는 민족을 부를 것이요, 너를 몰랐던 민족들이 너에게 달려오리니, 주 너의 하나님 때문이요, 이스라엘의 거룩한 이로 인함이라. 이는 그가 너를 영화롭게 하였기 때문이라.

5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.

6 ¶ 그분이 발견되실 수 있는 동안에 너희는 주를 찾으라. 그분께서 가까이 계시는 동안에 너희는 그분을 부르라.

6 ¶ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

7 사악한 자는 자신의 길을 버리고 불의한 사람은 자신의 생각들을 버릴지어다. 그런 다음에 그는 주께 되돌아올지어다. 그리하면 그분께서 그 위에 자비를 베푸시리라. 그리하여 우리 하나님께로 향하라. 이는 그분께서 넘치게 용서하실 것이기 때문이라.

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8 ¶ 이는 나의 생각들은 너희의 생각들이 아니며, 나의 길들이 너희의 길들도 아니기 때문이라. 주가 말하노라.

8 ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 이는 하늘들이 땅보다 높음같이 그렇게 나의 길들이 너희의 길들보다 높으며 나의 생각들이 너희의 생각들보다 높기 때문이라.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10 이는 마치 비와 눈이 하늘로부터 내려와서 거기로 되돌아가지 아니하고 오히려 땅에 물을 주고 그것이 열매를 내게 하고 싹을 틔워서 그것이 씨 뿌리는 자에게는 씨를, 먹는 자에게는 빵을 주는 것같이,

10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11 나의 입에서 나가는 내 말도 그러하도다. 내 말은 나에게 헛되이 되돌아오지 아니하리라. 오히려 그것은 내가 기뻐하는 것을 이행할 것이요, 내 말은 내가 그것을 그리로 보낸 것 안에서 형통하리라.

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

12 이는 너희가 즐거움과 함께 나갈 것이요, 화평으로 인도받을 것이기 때문이라. 산들과 언덕들이 너희 앞에서 노래로 환호를 터트릴 것이요, 들의 모든 나무들이 그들의 손뼉을 치리라.

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 가시나무를 대신하여 전나무가 올라올 것이요, 찔레를 대신하여 도금양나무가 올라오리라. 그리고 그것은 주께 한 이름이 되리니, 끊어지지 아니할 영원한 표적이 되리라.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
