이사야서 25장

1 오, 주여, 당신께서는 나의 하나님이시니이다. 제가 당신을 크게 높이겠나이다. 제가 당신의 이름을 찬송하겠나이다. 이는 당신께서 경이로운 것들을 행하셨기 때문이니이다. 당신의 옛 계획들은 신실과 진리이니이다.

1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

2 이는 당신께서 도시를 무더기로 만드셨고, 방어가 강화된 도시를 폐허로 만드셨기 때문이니이다. 타국인들의 궁전이 도시가 되지 못하게 하셨으니, 그것이 결코 건축되지 못하리이다.

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.

3 그러므로 강한 백성이 당신을 영화롭게 할 것이요, 공포스러운 민족들의 도시가 당신을 두려워하리이다.

3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee.

4 이는 공포스러운 이들의 강풍이 마치 성벽을 대적하는 폭풍 같을 때, 당신께서 가난한 자에게 힘이 되어 주셨고, 자신의 괴로움 속에 있는 빈곤한 자에게 힘이 되어 주셨으며, 폭풍을 피하는 피난처요, 열기를 피하는 그늘이 되어 주셨기 때문이니이다.

4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.

5 당신께서 타국인들의 소음을 메마른 곳의 열기같이 낮추시리니, 곧 구름 그늘로 열기를 낮추심같이 하시리라. 공포스러운 이들의 가지는 낮추어지리이다.

5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

6 ¶ 이후에 이 산속에서 만군의 주께서는 모든 백성들에게 살진 것들의 잔치와, 앙금들 위에 뜬 포도즙들의 잔치를 마련하시리니, 곧 기름진 것들은 골수로 가득하고 앙금들 위에 뜬 포도즙들은 잘 정제되었도다.

6 ¶ And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

7 그리고 그분께서 이 산속에서 모든 백성들 위에 던져진 덮개의 표면과 모든 민족들 위에 펼쳐진 휘장을 멸하시리라.

7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.

8 그분께서 승리 가운데 사망을 삼키시리라. 그리고 주 하나님께서 모든 얼굴들에서 눈물들을 닦아 내실 것이요, 그분께서 자신의 백성에 대한 꾸짖음을 온 땅에서 제거하시리라. 이는 주께서 그것을 말씀하셨기 때문이라.

8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.

9 ¶ 그리하여 그날에 이와 같은 말이 있으리라. “보라, 이분이 우리의 하나님이시로다. 우리가 그분을 기다려 왔으니, 그분께서 우리를 구원하시리라. 이분이 주시로다. 우리가 그분을 기다려 왔으니, 우리가 그분의 구원을 반가워하고 크게 기뻐하리라.”

9 ¶ And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10 이는 이 산속에서 주의 손이 쉬실 것이요, 모압이 그분 밑에서 짓밟힐 것이기 때문이니, 마치 거름 더미가 되기 위해 지푸라기가 짓밟히는 것과 같으리라.

10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

11 그리고 마치 수영하는 자가 수영하려고 자기 두 손을 앞으로 펼치는 것같이 그분께서 그들의 한가운데서 그분의 두 손을 앞으로 펼치시리라. 그런즉 그분께서는 그들의 손의 약탈물들과 더불어 그들의 교만을 낮추시리라.

11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands.

12 그리고 그분께서 너의 성벽들의 높은 보루가 있는 견고한 요새를 무너뜨리고 낮추실 것이요, 땅바닥으로, 심지어 티끌에까지 끌어내리시리라.

12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.
