이사야서 51장

1 의를 따르는 너희여, 주를 찾는 너희여, 나에게 경청하라. 너희가 깎여 나온 반석과 너희가 파내어진 구렁의 구멍을 보라.

1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

2 너희의 조상 아브라함과, 너희를 낳았던 사라를 보라. 이는 내가 그를 따로 불러냈고 그에게 복을 주었으며 그를 융성하게 하였기 때문이라.

2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.

3 이는 주가 시온을 위로할 것이기 때문이라. 그가 불모지가 된 그녀의 모든 장소들을 위로하리라. 그리고 그가 그녀의 광야를 에덴처럼, 그녀의 사막을 주의 동산처럼 만들리라. 즐거움과 반가움이 그 안에서 발견되리니, 감사들을 드림과 선율의 음성도 그러하리라.

3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

4 ¶ 나의 백성아, 나에게 경청하라. 그리고 오, 나의 민족아, 내 말을 귀담아들으라. 이는 한 법이 나에게서 나갈 것이요, 내가 나의 공의를 백성들의 빛으로 머무르게 할 것이기 때문이라.

4 ¶ Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.

5 나의 의가 가까이 있도다. 나의 구원이 앞으로 나갔고, 나의 두 팔이 백성들을 심판하리라. 섬들이 나를 기다리고 그들이 나의 팔을 신뢰하리라.

5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.

6 하늘들을 향하여 너희의 눈을 들어 올리고 밑으로는 땅을 살피라. 이는 하늘들은 연기처럼 자취를 감출 것이요, 땅은 의복처럼 낡아질 것이요, 그 안에서 거하는 자들은 같은 방식으로 죽을 것이기 때문이라. 그러나 나의 구원은 영원토록 존재할 것이요, 나의 의는 폐기되지 아니하리라.

6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.

7 ¶ 의를 아는 너희여, 그 마음속에 나의 율법이 있는 백성이여, 나에게 경청하라. 너희는 사람들의 비방을 두려워하지 말고, 그들의 욕들을 무서워하지도 말라.

7 ¶ Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

8 이는 좀나방이 그들을 의복처럼 먹을 것이요, 벌레가 그들을 양털처럼 먹을 것이기 때문이라. 그러나 나의 의는 영원토록 존재하며 나의 구원은 대대로 존재하리라.

8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

9 ¶ 오, 주의 팔이여, 깨어나소서, 깨어나소서, 힘을 발휘하소서. 고대의 날들에서와 같이, 옛 세대들에서와 같이 깨어나소서. 당신께서는 라합을 베시고 그 용을 상처 입히신 분이 아니시니이까?

9 ¶ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?

10 당신께서는 바다, 곧 거대한 깊음의 물들을 마르게 하신 분이요, 속량받은 자들이 넘어가도록 바다의 깊은 곳들을 길로 만드신 분이 아니시니이까?

10 Art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

11 그러므로 주의 구속받은 자들이 되돌아와서 노래하며 시온에 오리라. 그리고 영원한 즐거움이 그들의 머리 위에 있으리라. 그들은 희열과 즐거움을 얻으리니, 슬픔과 애곡이 멀리 달아나리라.

11 Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

12 나, 바로 나는 너희를 위로하는 이라. 네가 누구기에 죽을 사람을 네가 무서워해야 하겠고, 풀같이 되어 버릴 사람의 자손을 네가 무서워해야 하겠느냐?

12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;

13 그러면서 너는 하늘들을 활짝 펴고 땅의 기초들을 놓은 이요, 너를 만든 이인 주를 잊어버리는도다. 또 네가 누구기에, 마치 압제자가 너를 멸할 준비가 된 것처럼 그의 노여움 때문에 날마다 계속해서 두려워하였느냐? 그런즉 압제자의 노여움이 어디에 있느냐?

13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?

14 끌려간 포로가 자신이 풀려날 수 있도록 서두르리니, 그가 구렁 속에서도 죽지 아니할 것이요, 그의 빵도 끊기지 아니하리라.

14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.

15 그러나 나는 주 너의 하나님이니, 그의 파도들이 포효하던 그 바다를 나눈 이로다. 만군의 주가 그의 이름이로다.

15 But I am the LORD thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The LORD of hosts is his name.

16 그리고 내가 내 말들을 너의 입안에 넣어 주었노라. 또 내가 나의 손 그늘로 너를 덮었노라. 이는 내가 하늘들을 심고 땅의 기초들을 놓으며 시온에게 말하기를, “너는 나의 백성이라.” 하려 함이라.

16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

17 ¶ 오, 예루살렘아, 깨어나라, 깨어나라, 일어나라. 예루살렘은 주의 손에서 그의 노여움의 잔을 마셨도다. 너는 떨림의 잔의 찌끼들을 마셨으니, 그것들을 쥐어 짜내었도다.

17 ¶ Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.

18 그녀가 출산한 모든 아들들 가운데서 그녀를 안내할 자가 아무도 없도다. 그녀가 기른 모든 아들들 중에서 그녀의 손을 잡아줄 어떤 자도 없도다.

18 There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.

19 이 두 가지가 너에게 임하였도다. 누가 너를 위하여 애석해하겠느냐? 황량함과 멸망과 기근과 칼이로다. 누구를 통하여 내가 너를 위로하랴?

19 These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort thee?

20 너의 아들들이 기진하였도다. 그들이 모든 거리들의 길머리에 누웠으니, 마치 그물에 야생 수소가 걸린 것 같도다. 그들이 주의 노여움으로, 너의 하나님의 꾸짖음으로 가득 찼도다.

20 Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the fury of the LORD, the rebuke of thy God.

21 ¶ 그러므로 너, 고난받는 자여, 포도주가 아닌 것으로 취한 자여, 이제 이것을 들으라.

21 ¶ Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:

22 자신의 백성의 송사를 변호하는 주 너의 하나님, 곧 너의 주가 이같이 말하노라. 보라, 내가 떨림의 잔, 곧 나의 노여움의 잔의 찌끼들을 너의 손에서 거두었노라. 더 이상 너는 그것을 다시 마시지 아니하리라.

22 Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:

23 그러나 내가 너를 괴롭히는 자들의 손안에 그것을 두겠노라. 그들은 너의 혼에게 말하기를, “엎드려 절하라. 이는 우리가 넘어가려 함이라.” 하던 자들이라. 그런즉 너는 너의 몸을 땅바닥같이 눕혔고, 그 위에 지나간 자들에게 길바닥같이 눕혔도다.

23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
